Chapter 76 – Just Overthinking

(Leigh’s POV)

“You’re pregnant?” Alex asked, still shocked by the news.

Three pairs of eyes were gawking at me after they tugged me near the doorway of the room. She fell asleep again after telling them that her little Kayleigh was pregnant. It also took me a few minutes to recover from what she said, thinking about whether it was her hope, prediction, or misunderstanding my answer.

“No!” I denied it right away.

“Then, why did you say yes to Abuela?” Kayla raised her eyebrows, waiting for me to tell the truth about my condition.

I frowned at her. “I thought you were asking me if Dyna has a boyfriend already, and I answered yes to Granny,” I explained, and then I shook my head and continued, “but I’m not pregnant,” I confirmed, then looked and grinned at Alex. “Yet!”

“I’m going out. Just tell me where I’ll be going when they transfer Granny already,” Alex said, not smiling when he went out the door.
