Friday Night *Jack*

"What should we get in to tonight boys?" Jack says as he fumbles through his phone on the couch. No one answered. His friends were only his friends when it benefited them. He was just an outsider that fell into this crowd after high school. They weren't the best of people and no one that he would keep a lasting bond with but they were all he had in his life now.

As he looked around the room no one was aware he was even still there. Most of them were either passed out drunk, hungover, or too high to function. Looking at his clock it was only seven on a Friday night.

"I'm out!" he yelled. With a few grunts as a response. These were his only friends but a rough bunch to say the least but so was he. He had no family and besides the sorry excuses he had for friends the only joy he found was the sweet relief of intoxication. He hid himself away for years to avoid the judgemental eyes of those who knew him before he became a selfish monster.

If there is no one around to love, there is no one to hurt.

He lived by those words.

When he looked in the mirror he could see the monster inside him. How could anyone else see any different? His eyes were cold and his face matured a great deal since he first went into the shadows but there was a part of him that hoped someone could see past hid icy cold blue eyes. To see the person he use to be inside and rescue him from the monster that took over his soul.

"She is long gone" he thought to himself. What hope did he ever have at finding someone that could see all of him the way Bailey did. No one......that's who! It's been five years. No one has seen or heard from her. He went into the shadows and she couldn't get away from him fast enough. Bailey was the only girl who knew him better than he knew himself but he pushed her away slowly. Until one day the guilt was too much. He walked away and never looked back.

"If she only knew what kind of man I truly was she would have been the one to leave first" he scuffed.

Jack looked in the fridge at the six pack of Miller sitting there. He shut the ice box in hurry.

"Screw it i'm going out" Jack hadn't been in a public setting in some time so a local bar wasn't happening. Searching his phone he found a gentlemens club an hour away. 'Thats the place. Women, beer and no familiar faces asking where I have been all this time' he thought.

In the parking lot people were pulling in left and right. This made him a bit nervous but not a single license plate was from his area. It was safe to go inside. He only planned to have a couple beers with no intentions on drawing the girls attention. Even so he wore his best outfit and  cologne to hide the beast that was inside. His life was a wreck but that didn't mean he wanted to look the part.

Inside the club music was blaring. This was great! He didn't have to worry about carrying on ideal chit chat. The lights were low and the girls walking around were beautiful. Though he made sure not to make eye contact or stare. Instead he casually drank his beer. Don't want to give any of the girls the wrong idea. He was only here to drink and disappear in the shadows that were so comfortable to him.

"What the F*ck!"Jack said angerly as a girl come from the dressing room. He didn't realize the words had come out of his before it was too late. Luckly the music was just loud enough he didn't cause a scene. "Is that really her?" he thought to himself. "No it can't be! No way thats her I must be losing my mind"

Was it all in his head? He couldn't be sure. The smoke fog and dimmed lights made it hard to see clearly but as he looked across the room she had vanished. Maybe its time to get sober. This can't be right! Is it really her? Have their paths somehow crossed again? Or is the monster inside finally taking its toll on me and given me a false sense of reality.

Jack decided to move towards the back near the DJ booth. Noticing all the girls seemed to come straight there from the dressing room he thought he could get a better look. Where was she? Like a mirage she was there one min and gone the next.

"Hi can I get you another drink sir?" asked the waitress. "Sure thanks Miller please" he replied.

The waitress come back only moments later. She was sweet. Way to innocent to be seen in this scene. He tipped her well and sent her own her way.

Twenty minutes later and still no sign of the ghost he thought he saw. What a relief not sure how I would have handled that he thought as he took another drink.

There she is walking right his way. He froze like a deer in headlights. It was her! It was Bailey! He could never forget that face. The way she walked and the way her hair fell so freely brushing her back. He looked eyes with her and she looked uncomforable by his gaze but he couldn't stop. She was as beautiful as he had remembered. Her long red hair, emerald green eyes and soft fair skin where the only thing he dreamed of at night.

Did she notice him? His looked were more worn now and didn't resemble the boy she once knew any longer. She looked pissed but the DJ doesn't look to happy either.

Avoiding eye contact as she makes her way past. One more thing to look for to know for sure if this is her.

Leg tattoo. D*mn it's to dim in here to see. "Guess I will just have to take a closer look" he thought. He wasn't sure if he wanted it to be her or not. All these years so much has changed. His head buzzed. Was he excited, nervous, scared or.....angry? The rage grew inside him as he thought about his love doing this for work! What is she thinking?! What secrets does she hide? I must find out who this mystery women is he thought. But what will tonight cost me?
