Chapter 42 Still has feelings for you

Elsie was taken to the hospital because of her bruised arm. Her hand was being bandaged because of the bruise and the pain she was feeling in it. she looked at Oswald adoringly and said to him,

Thank you for everything, I find you myself thanking you a lot these days. I appreciate all that you have done for me.

Oswald nodded but his expression showed clearly that he wasn’t happy. He sighed and then said to Elsie,

Darren has been arrested by the police and taken into custody.

Elsie nodded her head and looked away but then, Oswald asked her,

Why did you stand in the way of the bat? You could have dodged it.

Elsie smiled and then responded to him,

I couldn’t have dodged it else it would be Ann in my place right now. And she could be worse.

Oswald was surprise that she would do that to herself in place of someone. But then, he said to her,

I think you should never think of harming yourself, no matter the reason. You might have saved her but I think she would be feeling very bad right now.
