The dinner was peaceful. No sound of the mouth chewing the food or spoon touching the plate. Well, for Liam it was the case but Davi decided to be the naughty child in the family and deliberately sipped the soup with a slurping sound.
His mouth chewing the food was smacking and anyone who can hear it will lose patience. However, this was what Davi wanted to achieve. He wanted Liam's help but he also wanted for Liam to stay as someone who hates him.
When Liam heard about him marrying Niel, the alpha gave him disdainful eyes. He was so sure that Liam was looking down on him.
“Are you sleeping after dinner?” he asked while his mouth was full and his hand was reaching for the fish steak. The sleeve of his shirt was almost touching the other food making Liam’s brows crease a little.
“Uncle Bert,” Liam called out and the butler came out of the kitchen hurriedly but gracefully.
“Yes, young master?”
“Tomorrow,” he glanced at Davi's, who was sitting on the end of the table then continued, “place his food here.” He pointed to the chair on his right before adding, “Also, he doesn’t want to be called madam. Call him young master from now on.”
“I will inform the others, young master.”
Davi who was sitting at the end of the table paused his chewing and swallowed hard at what he had heard. Liam was putting him beside him… why? He should be disgusted by his table manners by now!
This alpha!
“Davi,” Liam calls his name. His hands sliced the fish steak into bits and ate it before speaking.
His unhurried movements caused Davi to get anxious. He does not know what Liam will say but somehow, he was nervous! Each slow and precise slice of the fish steak feels like an eternity.
“I will be working after dinner. Is there anything you need from me?” He wiped his lips after drinking a mouthful of water waiting for Davi to answer.
With his brain malfunctioning for a second, Davi did not respond, forgetting what his intention for asking was. Seeing that the other was silent, Liam took the initiative to say, “I will be in the study if you need me.”
He was done eating but he stayed sitting at the table. For once, Davi felt the pressure of being stared at. He hurriedly stuffs the remaining food in his mouth until he choked on it.
Coughing as he fumbles for water, his eyes shed tears and he still did not get the water he wanted until a hand gave it to him. I was just reborn for a week and now I almost died again!
“Eat slowly. No one will snatch your food here.” Davi finished the whole glass of water with much difficulty. Having the alpha stand next to him, he felt overwhelmed but not uncomfortable.
It was said that alphas can kill any omega by simply existing and he proved it to be real right now!
“T-thank you.”
He stood up and ran towards the stairs. It was not easy to change one’s character overnight. Originally, Davi was an aloof young man. He had no friends because he had been busy working just to send himself to school.
He had no confidence to present himself to people either because he felt that he was ugly and disgusting in appearance and status. He was afraid that people would judge him. While growing up, all he had in his mind was negativity, and graduating high school was the only positive thing he had thought of.
Sadly, even the only positive thing turned negative for him. Talking to Liam and acting all hyper for a short amount of time already exhausted his energy.
It was fortunate that the security in the villa was top-notch that his father couldn't reach him otherwise, he might have seen his father daily even after he had sold him.
As a twenty-year-old young man, he wanted to experience normal things that his age group was enjoying, he wanted friends and he wanted to date but these were things that he was deprived of.
He felt that he did not deserve it either.
Now, he was married to a man he only had met for two days and one night. Though this man did not touch him, the feeling of existing and not existing in the huge mansion was even more depressing than facing his drunkard father.
The feeling of being used, trampled on, and treated as invisible was greater than all his sufferings combined. His first love was a failure.
At least he knew what his father was thinking but with Niel, he does not know anything at all. He was often suffocated.
Liam's attitude was an added factor to that. The alpha had a scar on his eyebrow making one think that he was a gangster. That he could kill anyone blocking his way.
His serious composure when he met him the first time gave him a shiver and thought that this alpha will surely force himself on him. He was afraid and afraid on that first night he slept in the mansion after Liam took him away... afraid for Liam to enter his room… but no alpha entered the room.
He only received the silent treatment from him but Niel was different that time.
The alpha gave him a sense of security. Gave him the respect and love he thought he deserved only to end up being fake.
This anxiousness and fear coupled with his other negative thoughts ate him slowly inside until he reached the point of giving up.
After washing up, Davi finds his way to Liam’s study. Unlike other rich families, The mansion was built with only two storeys. A huge house was too exhausting to walk through every day.
At the end of the corridor was the tightly closed door. It was just now that he realized he was sleeping near Liam's room all this time.
Knock knock
Summoning a lot of courage, he knocks on the door. “It’s me, can I come in?” speaking in an enthusiastic voice though deep within, he was nervous as hell.
“Come in.”
It was two words. Two words but the authority in that voice while spitting those words made Davi tremble. It was not because of fright but it was due to the alpha’s high dominance. If Davi were to smell Liam’s pheromone, he was so sure that it would make his limbs weak.
Thinking about it, Davi never had the chance to know the smell of this alpha, nor the smell of his husband. It must be a unique smell fitted for a high-grade alpha.
Without taking any courtesy, Davi pushed open the door which created a loud creaking sound. In his hand was a folder that he held so well, afraid that it will crease if he grips harder.
“Oh. Still working?” He was asking one thing but his eyes were observing another thing. He was checking whether the alpha was in a good mood.
Liam was wearing gold-framed glasses which highlighted his tall nose but covered his blue-flaming eyes. Sitting in the leather chair did not lower his fierce and authoritative aura but it gave a sense of docility. However, it was the kind of docility that one wouldn’t dare to mess with, “What do you need?”
Being an introvert all his life and having no real experience being in the same room with a not-so-tamed alpha, Davi’s brain failed to work for a second. It was one thing to be in a close room with Liam and it was another thing to be inside with him and inhale the scent of the pheromone lingering in the room.
The rich smell of grass after the rain overwhelms him. So, this is his pheromone scent?
Pinching his thigh secretly, Davi returned some of his senses and gave Liam the folder in his hand, “I will apply for work!” he said cheerfully with his almost misty eyes.
Hearing what he said, Liam looked at him, what he saw made him purse his lips and clenched his hands tightly. Davi’s face down to his neck was so red that he almost looked like someone who sunbathed.
His eyes were watery but the omega in front of him was feigning bravery and still waiting for him to accept the folder.
“Ta-take it. I’m applying… f-for work.” The cheerfulness a while ago was now replaced with stuttering. “I- I don’t feel well… I will leave it h-here.” He put the folder on the table and took a step backward.
However, his limbs were too weak and he ended up wobbling. His head was dizzy and his body began to feel hot. He was thirsty and he wanted something to scratch his body. He wanted the scent to envelop him some more but he also wanted to flee.
He was afraid of this feeling. The feeling he had never felt before.
He was an omega and he experienced a heat cycle but this was nowhere to have a heat cycle. It was still early; he still had a month before it arrived.
Losing strength, Davi fell but the expected pain did not come instead there were firm arms that caught him. Those firm arms carried him to the sofa like a prince saved by his loyal knight. The scent became stronger and his nose chased after it.
This was what he was afraid of. Driven by instinct, driven by lust… he doesn’t want it.
His nose touches a soft skin where the scent was higher. His arms clutched onto the source of the scent and like a koala, he never let go no matter how much the source made an effort to settle him. “Mmmm…” he whined and whimpered; he wanted those scents… he didn't want those scents…
His mind and heart fought a no-victor battle.
Irritated by the hand that gets in the way, Davi bit those soft skin as hard as he could until a fishy taste entered his throat. The owner of the skin groaned, obviously impatient and almost cut off from his sanity.
The omega was not content and licked the bitten flesh like a cat curing a wound.
It has been a while now since another scent lingered in the room, courting the fresh scent of grass after the rain, teasing it, seducing it into blending with it. The scent of orange was sweet, it was seductive… it was a scent that fit most to the original scent in the room.
“Davi,” Liam’s voice was hoarse, and it was evident how he was forcing himself not to take advantage of the ripe omega in his arms. His throat had been bobbing up and down for an abnormal amount but no matter how much effort he took to stay away from Davi, he couldn't.
He was imprisoned by four limbs and got bitten over and over from his neck and to his shoulder.
If someone can be identified as a saint of endurance… it must be him.
“Twice… twice Davi, the third time this will happen, I can’t promise you… your safety.”
Having no choice, Liam sat up with much effort while holding Davi in his arms. He was intending to walk towards the cabinet full of inhibitors. With heavy breath and nose full of Davi’s scent, Liam’s hand holding the omega gripped tighter.
A low growl can be heard from him when the omega licks him or bites him. This Davi in his arms was so different from the normal Davi he knew.
Or was it really different?
There was also that night when he first saw this side of the omega. The contrast was so far that strangers might think it was two different people. That was before, now he was facing the same situation again.
Walking towards the cabinet was a fierce battle of endurance and lust, and opening the cabinet was a battle between strength and lust! One more minute and Liam will lose his sanity. The concentrated smell of orange danced around him and Davi’s constant whimpers added to the seduction.
The omega wanted to be served but Liam knew this was not what Davi wanted.
With his hard-earned inhibitor, Liam injects himself and Davi but before he could carry the omega out of the study, his lips were caught with a violent bite and was pushed down on the sofa.
The author has something to say:
My son Davi is wild! and I love him for it BUT DO IT AFTER DIVORCE, OKAY?!
Liam: *secretly hastens the divorce* I AGREE!
Seeing from below, Liam could say that the view was amazing. The omega was flushed red from his face down to his neck and if the clothes were to be taken off… surely, Davi’s body would be dyed red. Their position was ambiguous, it wouldn’t be a problem if they were in love. However, there was no love between them. No feelings except that of a buyer and a product. If he were to use the excuse of Niel being unfaithful so Davi can be unfaithful too then he could instantly eat the omega. After all, they were legally a married couple but never consummated their marriage. “Hot…” Davi was scratching himself while riding on top of Liam. His body writhing from the lust that brews inside him. “… mmm… hot,” his short slender fingers pop the buttons of his pajamas two and three at a time but before he could finish all the buttons a hand grabs him firmly. “Stop, Davi.” Liam was at the end of his wits. The inhibitor seems to work really slowly this time. Usually, after he injected it, it m
Davi thought that when having an interview, it would be the owner of the store that will do it. What will happen to him then?He was not looking for a backer. He knew he should do it through his skills but a backer will be much more useful! Who wouldn’t want it? besides, wouldn’t it be a hundred times better if he knew the person he was talking to even if it’s a little or if you live under the same roof?A new world opened in front of him. When Davi was applying for a part-time job to finance his studies it was always the owner of the store that will interview him. For example, the owner of the convenience store. For example, the owner of the fish stall. For example, the owner of a second-hand clothing store. Why was it different with Liam?! I guess the rich do it differently.“So- so is the HR s-strict?” What was the scariest thing that an introvert like Davi was afraid of? Yes. It was to meet new people. A stranger! He could muster up the courage to talk to Liam because he doesn’t
Walking out of the elevator, Davi did not head over to where the car was parked. It was not all the time that he could stroll around the city so freely. It was already a year since he saw the bustling area of this side of the country. When he was working before, he could only watch as the teens his age walks in a group while laughing and talking about nonsensical topics. He never had a chance to experience that. He never even had a friend to call his own.The high-rise buildings were standing left and right but it does not stop the sun to shine so brightly on him. It must have been saying ‘congratulations!’ on the new life and job he got. A high school graduate but working for a top company was already something he could just dream of before. Today, he was hired as a janitor with a two million clean salary. He was happy beyond compare. Passing through a cake shop, he stopped on his foot and stared at the beautifully designed cake from small to largest. It was impeccable for him th
The next morning, Davi woke up earlier than usual. It was the excitement kicking in. Last night, after Liam left outside the door he watched more videos that could help him in modeling food. Then, he watched a video that will help him become a good janitor! In the video, the guy tied his hair in a man-bun and his mask, then his gloves and face the camera to say, “Let’s do this!” The guy then started to check his cleaning materials, refilled the bottles with fewer cleaning liquids, and left to start his day in a five floors building. While cleaning, the guy explained how to get rid of this kind and that kind of stains. He learned a lot and he felt that he was more ready to start his new career. When the video finished it was already midnight. “Good morning!” he said while sitting at the dining table. “I’ll eat more today so I could have more energy to clean!” He was enthusiastic that Liam had to raise his eyes to watch him.He had not seen anybody from a rich family happy to work a
The sudden stop in his sentence and creasing of his brows made Alexis thought that there might be another problem that arises. It has been a long day before the day even begins. Another problem means another late-night work. “Is something wrong, President?” Liam closed his phone, and continued on his walk as if nothing happened, as if he heard nothing but when they reached the door, he stopped and uttered, “Do new employees need to have welcome parties?” Alexis made a blank look before answering, “President, it has been a culture.” The door creaked and the huge office came into view. On the side was a sofa and a little coffee table. On the other side were cabinets full of trophies and certificates of awards given to the company but mostly to Liam as an outstanding entrepreneur, a rookie businessman, and many others. “Then, why am I not invited to any of it?” The chair he was sitting on was leather, a sturdy one which he likes the most. The number of documents he needed to sign pi
When the time to clock out came, the three members of their small team rejoice turning the small resting area into a chaotic jungle. Brian was planning everything for the welcoming party later while Kelly was rejecting all his ideas. Davi would like to join the conversation but he does not know where to insert. First, he was embarrassed to say something wrong and second, he does not want to interrupt the excited Brian. Even though he felt these, he also felt happiness in his heart. This was his first outing with a workmate and he wanted to try his best not to become the cause of an awkward atmosphere. In reality, even if he wanted to speak, his heart won't allow him to. At this very moment, Davi's heart was pounding so fast from anger and other feelings he can't explain. His face was red from all the suppression of his emotion. An hour before he clocked out. Davi went to the storage room to return his and Mama Chu's cleaning materials. Each one of them had a push cart where everyt
Davi remembered that night when he first saw Liam. The alpha was wearing a three-piece suit with shiny shoes. He entered the loan sharks office full of the musty smell and cigarette smoke. The alpha’s beauty and bearing were out of place, one could not help but notice him. Even in his desperate and miserable state, Davi still had a chance to admire his beauty. However, that was all. “How much is he?” That was the first words he heard from the alpha’s lips. A voice so soothing to the ear but the words he spoke were like daggers, his voice full of cold and chill. “Has he been touched?” “H-he’s still a virgin, Mr. Noah.” The President of the loan shark quivered at every question that Liam spoke that day. “I’ll take him.” No matter how much he admire Liam’s beauty, it was all a shame that the alpha was another perverted bastard that wanted his body. What else can an alpha want from a nobody like him? Liam was obviously a rich man… he could have any omega he wanted. Surely, he will
Working in the company as a utility worker was not the same. Others started their work at four in the morning, others at seven, and very few at ten o’clock in the morning. They were the very last person to leave the company, ensuring that everything was clean before closing. They were also the people who knew most of the gossip inside the company, who partnered with who, who relieves their lust in the bathroom, and who were against who. Nothing could escape their ears but it was also their silent policy to keep their mouth shut. After all, having a job was better than living as unemployed. They were walking in the hallway and like it was a hobby, Mama Chu kept checking every corner they pass through and wiping it if she sees even a tiny stain, “Kiddo if ever you see two people in the corner where cameras don’t reach, run.” She pat his shoulder and added, “Don’t listen to people’s secrets. It is for your safety.”Brian and Kelly nodded in agreement to what Mama Chu's said, "Yeap, l
