Chapter 9: Confession

When the time to clock out came, the three members of their small team rejoice turning the small resting area into a chaotic jungle. Brian was planning everything for the welcoming party later while Kelly was rejecting all his ideas. 

Davi would like to join the conversation but he does not know where to insert. First, he was embarrassed to say something wrong and second, he does not want to interrupt the excited Brian. Even though he felt these, he also felt happiness in his heart. 

This was his first outing with a workmate and he wanted to try his best not to become the cause of an awkward atmosphere. 

In reality, even if he wanted to speak, his heart won't allow him to. At this very moment, Davi's heart was pounding so fast from anger and other feelings he can't explain. His face was red from all the suppression of his emotion. 

An hour before he clocked out. Davi went to the storage room to return his and Mama Chu's cleaning materials. Each one of them had a push cart where everything they needed was there. Arriving at the door of the storage, a strange noise can be heard. 

He was hesitant to open it thinking that there might be a ghost inside but after a while, the noise got higher and higher as if not minding if there was someone outside to hear them. The sound was ambiguous and anyone who can hear it will instantly know what the people inside were doing. 

Sounds of flesh hitting flesh, sounds of kissing and moaning, and even the sound of someone calling the other party's name, "... ahhh... darling... Niel... slo- slow down." 

It was his husband and his mistress making out inside the storage room like an animal in heat. So dirty, so nauseating. Davi stood frozen in front of the door. He knew that Niel and that omega were in a relationship before he came. He was only lucky to be the old Patriarch's savior that Niel laid eyes on him. 

Feelings can't be thrown easily and Davi admits that he fell for Niel so deeply in his first life. The alpha was so gorgeous and had a sweet tongue, his eyes sparkle while he gaze at him making him feel that he was the luckiest omega in the world. 

But everything was a lie and after he lets himself be bound with Niel through a paper, the pink bubble world disappears. 

Only after their wedding did he realize that when Niel leave in the middle of their date, it was because he was going to coax his jealous omega. Every time he tried to offer himself to Niel, the alpha will say that he cherished him and will only touch him when they consummate their marriage. 

He was a fool to believe that. In reality, he was fucking another omega and he did not need Davi to satisfy his needs. The sparkling eyes before were replaced by disgust. A three-sixty-degree flip of character, so to say. 

After five minutes, the sound inside stopped, and the rustling of clothes followed. 

In his second life, Davi's love for Niel was totally replaced with anger and a grudge. When anger overpowers love, people will slowly change too. The way he sees and looks at the other person, the way the situation affects the cheated person. 

At this very moment, he felt so disgusted with the two people inside.

The door opened and Niel came out first, his face stunned for a second before he fix his suit, "why are you here? Following me now?" he said in an insulting tone as if Davi was capable of stalking him. 

Before he could answer, the mistress came out, his body still have the scent of the alpha. The mistress was stunned for a second too before snorting, "A janitor? You're following my man now to the point of cleaning filth?"

Davi looked at them with unbothered eyes, when one saw him, one will think that he does not know the two people in front of him, "I hope you used a condom, that's a decorum when mating in public spaces." He took an alcohol spray and a mask from the cart before adding, "We don't want any disease to plague the company." 

Niel did not get what he meant at first but the mistress blushed in anger after the last word fell. Niel's mistress was a cute and pale omega working in the finance department. So when he blushed, it was so obvious as if he will explode any minute. 

He quickly composed himself and said, "Heh. We did not leave so much cum... oh actually, we did. The place was full of traces of our lovemaking. Niel pounded so hard that I can't help but cum thrice. Have you experienced that - Oops! My bad, my alpha never touches trash like you."

Niel snorted in agreement. "My darling should wait for a little more time, we will soon be married." These words encourage the mistress and he immediately acts coquettish, clinging to Niel's arm. 

After listening, Davi sighed. All those talks never affect him. He regarded them as flies buzzing around him. He was not one to argue not even to fight for an unworthy alpha. It was a waste of energy for him but the mistress kept taunting him. 

"A mistress squeaking, what a funny sight. A husband so proud of cheating, what a pair of shit." he crossed his arms on his chest, "Right, your alpha needs me to get what he wanted, meaning... you are useless except in bed. You, allowing him to marry me, means you know you are useless and only useful in bed but wanted the patriarch's wife position." 

He clinked his tongue, "If you are not good in bed, will he stay with you? Bet he'll find another- no, I think 'your alpha' has another omega behind your back. Tsk. Pairs of scumbags bound to scam each other." 

Davi stood straight and look Niel in his eyes with a serious face, "Liam will be the Patriarch, only he is worthy." He turned his eyes to the mistress and said, "Your alpha will throw you like trash after he is done using you. You are not above me, you and I... we are both a fool for loving such a failure of an alpha." 

"You-"

Hearing Davi call him a failure and the confidence in his word when he said that Liam will be the Patriarch ignited the fury inside him and quickly raise a fist to punch Davi in the face but before his fist landed, a fist landed on his face first!

Thud!

Niel wobbles but fortunately he found his footing quickly. The mistress runs after him and sees that blood in the alpha's nose, "... ahh, you're bleeding!" He was panicking and cursed the person that punch Niel, "You, I will sue you-" but his words stop when he saw the overwhelming aura of the person standing behind Davi. 

His eyes widened and shut his mouth. 

"Sue me? Try then." 

His voice came from behind straight to Davi's ears. Everything happens so fast and he did not have the time yet to turn his head when a low and cold voice sounded.

"Liam?" 

Liam's eyes scan him from head to foot and foot to head, and only after confirming that he had no injury that he asks, "Nervous?"

Davi shook his head. 

"You punch me for that omega?! I am your cousin and he is a nobody!" Niel said with gritted teeth. 

"He is married to you, your husband." His tone was flat as if he was forcing himself to say it. 

Niel wipes the blood from his nose and laughs evilly, "Husband? married? It's all on paper, who would want a filthy omega born in the slum?! Who knows how many cock went inside him?! Pweh!"

Thud!

A kick landed on his crotch, it was not hit hard but it was enough to hurt his balls. Niel grunted as he fold his body holding the injured flesh between his thighs. Davi was fuming hearing Niel's words and he wanted to kick more, punch the alpha and cut the proud part of him!

Liam caught him in his collar, stopping him from harming Niel more. He had to put in more strength because the omega was struggling to get out of his grasp, like a cat meowing fervently. 

"Then it's your loss... and my gain." he stared at Niel still folding his body, his eyes full of meaning and determination, "Today, I will start pursuing Davi."

The struggling omega paused, the mistress comforting the alpha raised his head, and Niel folding his body, straightened, all three were shocked by the sudden statement of Liam. Davi's eyes were full of confusion, question, and disbelief. 

Amused by the changes in Davi's expression, Liam interlock his five fingers with Davi and softly rubbed the omega's cheek, his eyes gentle and his tone full of doting, "Davi, let me be your alpha."
