You haven't eaten anything still now and it is already quite late. Better you eat something."

Staring at the bright screen of the phone, Daisy stood dumbfounded as if she was still then trying to understand the situation. Alex's voice interrupted her train of thoughts. Alex asked, looking at Daisy's surprised expression, "Didn't Nick give any chance to talk? That means he is really busy and not joining tonight."
