“What do you want from me, Arturo?” I asked, glaring at the man who had me pinned.

“The two of us need to talk, little wolf. I do believe that you are aware of that.” He said, and I laughed, shaking my head at him.

“You call me a hypocrite and a liar, and you expect me to want to look at you let alone speak to you?” I asked, and he smiled, his smile not reaching his eyes as I shook my head in question.

“You lying about Eli being your mother can be a start to something being hidden.” He said, and I raised an eyebrow at the man whose eyes darkened with anger at my reaction.

“Yes, me losing my mother at the hands of my father before he burned the building down was not something that I wanted to discuss with you this early into our marriage.” I said, making him frown in confusion. He loosened his grip on my hand as tears formed in my eyes and I removed my hand from his, not wanting him to touch me.
