A World Of Werewolves

CHAPTER ONE

A World Of Werewolves

"Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday dear Blair!

Happy birthday to you!" Blair's college friends sang, their voices harmonizing in a cheerful tune, and their faces beaming with joy.

Blair was surrounded by her closest college friends as they celebrated her 22nd birthday in the woods. They had set up a small bonfire and spread out blankets on the ground, where they all sat, chatting, laughing and enjoying the cool night breeze.

As the fire crackled and the stars twinkled above them, Blair knew that this was one of the days she would look back on for years to come.

Blair couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion as she looked around at her friends. They had all come together to celebrate her special day, and she felt grateful for each and every one of them.

Blair's best friend, Jessica, had brought a delicious cake that she had baked herself, and they all gathered around it as they sang.

As the song ended, her friend Jessica leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Make a wish, Blair! Blow out the candles and make a wish!"

As Blair closed her eyes to make a wish, thinking about all the things she wanted for herself, her loved ones, and the world at large, she heard a loud rustling noise in the bushes nearby. Her friends laughed and joked about it, saying it was probably just a raccoon or a deer. But Blair's instincts told her something was off.

She finally blew off the candle and slowly opened her eyes, scanning the darkness. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows, brandishing a weapon. Blair's heart skipped a beat as she realized it was a masked assailant.

In a split second, chaos erupted. Blair's friends screamed and scattered in all directions, but the attacker was fast and agile. He took them down one by one, ruthlessly slashing and stabbing with his weapon.

Blair froze in fear, watching in horror as her friends fell around her. She tried to run, but her legs felt heavy and uncooperative. Blair's heart raced as she stared in horror at the gruesome scene before her. She felt paralyzed, unable to move or even scream. Her mind was in a fog, struggling to process what was happening. As the reality of the situation hit her, Blair's body shook with sobs. She fell to her knees and crawled to her closest friend's side, trying to find any sign of life. But it was too late, they were all gone.

The attacker approached her with a sinister grin, his weapon glinting in the moonlight.

Blair felt a surge of adrenaline as she spranged on her feet and fought back with all her might. She kicked and punched, desperate to defend herself. The attacker was taken aback by her ferocity, but he quickly regained his composure and lunged at her with renewed vigor.

Blair's world turned into a blur of pain and chaos as she fought for her life. She didn't know how long she managed to keep the attacker at bay.

As she fought against him, she could see some other men coming through the deep forest and joining them there. Blair froze, she knew she couldn't do this alone. She wouldn't be able to fight against these men.

"Let me go!" Blair shouted and bit the on who held her. As he let go of her hand, she stumbled into the forest, running with no destination in mind.

Blair's hands trembled as she reached for her phone to call for help, but her fingers were shaking so violently that she couldn't even hold it steady. She was alone in the woods, with no one around to help her or even hear her cries.

Fear consumed her as she realized that she was the only survivor of this senseless tragedy. She didn't know how she was going to make it through this, but she knew that she had to try. She had to find a way to get help and bring justice to her friends.

Tears streamed down her face as she ran through the woods, trying to find her way back to civilization. She was scared, hurt, and alone, but she was determined to survive and make sure that her friends' deaths were not in vain.

Blair stumbled as she emerged from the dense forest, her eyes blinking rapidly as she tried to adjust to the sudden change in light. She looked around, her heart racing with confusion and fear, as she realized that she was in a completely unfamiliar place.

What just happened? She couldn't understand what was going on, it was like she had gotten to an entirely different place.

The trees were taller and thicker than any she had ever seen before, and the air was filled with the sounds of wildlife she could not identify. As she took a tentative step forward, she suddenly heard a low growling noise coming from behind her.

Whipping around, she saw a pack of wolves emerge from the trees, their eyes fixed on her with an intense, predatory gaze. Blair froze, her mind racing as she tried to process what was happening.

Had she stumbled upon some kind of wildlife sanctuary? Was this some kind of elaborate practical joke? But as the wolves began to circle her, their eyes glowing in the darkness, she realized with growing terror that this was no ordinary forest.

She was only out with her friends on a night out in the woods when she excused herself to pee, but it was like she stepped into an entirely different place.

She tried to run deeper into the forest, hoping to find some shelter or sanctuary, but the sound of the wolves grew louder and closer.

She spotted a cave up ahead and sprinted towards it, desperate for a place to hide.

She was only trying to find help for her friends who got murdered, and now she was in an entirely different place.

As she entered the cave, she was hit with the overwhelming stench of decay and rot. She gagged, but forced herself to push further into the cave, knowing that it was her only hope for survival. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching and froze.

Peering out from behind a rock, she saw a group of wolves emerge from the trees, their eyes gleaming with a predatory hunger. They had caught her scent and were closing in for the kill.

With no other options, Blair huddled behind the rock, her heart racing as the werewolves closed in on her.

Blair tried to back away, but her feet seemed to be rooted to the spot. She could feel the heat of their breath on her skin, and she was certain that she was about to die.

She closed her eyes and crossed her fingers as she murmured a silent prayer, hoping she would get the help she need to get away from these scary creatures.

Blair suddenly heard a deep, commanding voice call out from the trees. The wolves immediately backed away, and Blair looked up to see a tall, muscular man striding towards her. He was among the men who joined the murderer, she was confused.

Who are these people and what do they want from her? They already killed her friends and now they were after her.

She wondered who this man could be and how the wolves listened to him. He was unlike anyone she had ever seen before, with sharp, angular features and piercing green eyes that seemed to stare straight through her. He wore a dark cloak that swirled around his body as he moved, and Blair could sense a fierce power emanating from him.

As he approached her, she cowered back, her heart racing with fear.

The wolves which were chasing her earlier suddenly shook and changed back into their human form.

Blair’s face twisted in terror as she witnessed the wolves transformation into human. She stumbled back, her eyes wide and her breath quickening as she struggled to comprehend what she had just witnessed. Her hands trembled as she struggled to find her footing, fear gripping her heart.

As they stood before her in human form, Blair’s fear only intensified, they were the same people who killed her friends, what do they want from her? She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her palms slick with sweat. Her voice shook as she spoke, barely able to get the words out.

"T…This is impossible ," she stammered, her eyes darting around nervously. "What...what do you want from me? Who are you?"

Her fear was palpable, and it was clear that she was not prepared for this encounter. They seemed to sense her fear, and it only served to make her feel more vulnerable and helpless. She took a step back, her eyes never leaving them, unsure of what to do next.

"Your highness, we should just kill her like we did to the rest," one of the men said

The man stretched out his hand towards her and pulled her up.

As Blair stumbled and fell into the arms of the alpha king, she was overwhelmed by a mix of fear and confusion. The powerful alpha king was not like any man she had ever seen before, and the hate in his eyes was palpable.

As he stood up, still holding her tightly, Blair tried to speak, but her words came out in a stuttering, terrified whisper. She could feel the heat of his breath on her face, and she shuddered with fear.

"Who are you? And why are you here?” Alpha king, Ashier questioned.

Blair tried to explain, telling him that she had no idea where she was and what was happening, she tried to explain that she was only having her birthday party with her friends when they got murdered by one of them, she didn't know they had already tresspassed. But the alpha king's expression only grew darker.

"You expect me to believe that?" he spat, his grip on her tightening. "You come into our world uninvited, and you expect us to believe that it was all some accident? Don’t joke with me human girl. What is your aim? Every human has one or two thinks they want to take from our Kingdom," he growled.

Blair could feel her heart racing in her chest, and she knew that she was in deep trouble. The alpha king was clearly not interested in listening to her excuses, and she was afraid that he might do her harm.

“P..please believe me, I…I don’t know what this place is,” she stuttered.

The gamma laughed, “Your highness,” he bent his head before walking to Ashier, “Don’t listen to this human girl, she is not different from the ones we’ve been seeing. She crossed our portal, she crossed the line and she deserved to be killed just like her friends,” he yelled.

Fear gripped Blair when she heard about death, she looked up at them, her eyes filled to the brim with tears.

If she had known that this would be the end of the night out, she would have just listened to her mom and stayed back home. Now, all her friends had been killed and she was also on the verge of her own death.

“There is no other way,” Ashier mouthed, “We would have to kill this human girl,” he added and pushed Blair towards one of the werewolves, “Take her away and lock her up,” he ordered.

“At your command your highness,” the guards bowed before surrounding Blair.

As she was led deeper into the forest, she could only hope that she would find a way to escape before it was too late.

Suddenly, the deep forest which she had been finding a way out from pathed and all she could see was a highway.

Blair gasped, she couldn’t comprehend what had just happened, how could a thick forest suddenly change into a highway?

She turned back but there was nothing like the forest anymore, the unimaginable things that had been happening since she entered into the forest made her numb, she couldn’t say a word.

“Throw her in and let’s move,” Alpha Ashier gave the order before he got into his car which was followed by a convoy.

Blair was thrown into the booth of one of the cars with her mouth taped and her hands tied.

They zoomed off to the palace, where she was going to know what was in store for her and what judgment this ruthless alpha king was going to pass on her.
