Chapter 3

Those words finally snapped the remaining sanity that's left in me. My vision went black and I found my clothes drenched in blood that some were flowing on the vehicle's floor. My body was moving on it's own accord as I tossed outside the four headless men, heads rolling on the cold street. I took the car and drove fast back to the mountain. My head was painful due to the continuous ticking— It was like a bomb ready to explode.

This was the reason why I always ended up getting expelled from school. When someone bully or make fun of me, my body tends to go berserk even if I don't want to. It felt like there's a cage beast inside me who wants to be free and run wild. My fist were itching and in order to ease it, I always ended up on beating someone.

I've felt this changes when I turned eighteen. It was just minimal which I can easily control and console. But as years went by especially when I turned twenty, things started to get out of hand. I get constant headache and thirst for violence that my hands will just punched anyone. I don't understand myself and I'm scared. I'm afraid to tell this to anyone because they might think I'm crazy and see me as a threat. The least that I want to happen was to put in a mental hospital and undergo rehab.

I gripped the steering wheel tightly. My mother is the strongest person I know. She can't be taken down. There's no way that she's dead.

I need to go back in the village. I can't afford if Darah and Lily will get hurt too. I will protect them at all cost. I won't let them lay hands to my family even more.

The headlight was enough for me to see clearly the path back to mountain. I was running in a high speed when something fall from above causing the vehicle to crush on it. My eyes went wide when I got to recognize that outfit. My heart was beating rapidly when I got off from the car. My world literally stopped when I saw who it was.

"Mom!" I cried in fear and immediately aide her. I took her to my arms as I tried to wake her up, tears swelling from both of my eyes. "Mom, wake up.. Please open your eyes." I sobbed. My trembling hands checked her pulse and was relief a bit when I get to know that she's still breathing but that doesn't put me in peace. Her pulse was weak and her body was covered with deep cuts. She needs to get treated immediately.

I carefully placed her bruised body inside the car. I'm about to enter the vehicle when I heard a gunshot. I felt a strong object that about to hit me. I tried to dodge it but my reaction was slow due to my clouded thoughts. The bullet grazes my cheek which started to bleed generously. I hissed with the seering pain and immediately attacked the culprit.

It's one of those men. I grabbed the gun, break it and snapped his neck. The other two who saw my rage started to fire their gun at me in panic.

"Monster! She's a monster!"

My blood was rushing. I felt like someone was controlling my whole being. I want to stopped myself but this is the only way that I can see to save my family so I just let it. A tear escaped my eyes as I end the lives of this men. This is my first time to kill... My hands were now covered with blood and injustice.

The night breeze blew, quickly drying the red liquid that was splattered on my face.

"Meyan..." That voice again.

I covered my ears tightly and yelled. "STOPP!"

Whoever owns that voice must be the one behind all of these and just hiding in the dark and giving orders. I won't forgive him. I'm going to find him and make him pay after these chaos.

As I get near to the village, my ears were slowly filled with screams of agony. I can see smoke and enormous amount of light from afar. The village was on fire.

The villagers were running around, some are trying to rescue their belongings, the children were crying and the smell of burnt flesh lingers in the night air. The burning village reflected on my teary wide eyes. I pulled the roots of my hair while staring at this endless nightmare. This is all my fault..

"M-Meyan.."

I got back from my senses when I heard that low and weak voice.

"M-Mother." There's a deep gash on her forehead and I can't imagine how painful that must be.

"H-Home. I want t-to go home."

I sobbed with her request. I carried her to my arms and head straight to the direction of our house while trying to avoid the chaos that took place.

This is disheartening. I'm sinking in so much sadness and sorrow as I continue to hear the villagers plea of mercy. I want to help them but my main priority right now is my family. I'm praying for the safety of Darah and Lily, hoping that they've got out of the house and find a safe place to hide.

One more turn to right and I found our house, unharmed and free from hellish fire. But my relief was taken away when I got to hear Lily's shrill.

With swift movements, I put my mother in the balcony and hastily went inside the house.

Everything was disarray. With at least six huge men inside, the house was barely standing on it's feet. Torn clothes, blood stains and the scent of sex.

"M-Meymey!" That was Darah's voice. I found her small body being hanged on the ceiling while someone was whipping her small frame. She was crying and helpless.

"Took you so long to come, missy. We've get bored so we got these kids to play while waiting for you," one of them said.

My blurry vision went to the floor, close to the kitchen where Lily always spends her time. She was there, lying unconscious and covered with her own blood.

My hand breaks the doorknob I was holding. Something growled inside me as my vision slowly turns red. My heart rate change it's rhythm. From fast, to steady, to calm. My throat became dry as I felt my nails started to grow sharp.

I'm... hungry. But I want no food.

My body moved in a lightning speed, taking every heart that I can rip apart. The rain started to pour as my lips stretched into a wide grin. All I can see was a wide vast of sheeps ready to slaughter. A laugh ruptured from my throat as I swirl around the village like a tornado of mass destruction.

Ah. I've never felt this contentment in my whole life. The joy of satisfying your hunger and the taste of freedom.

"Stop! Oh my god. Meyan, stop!"

But this isn't enough. I want more. I want to see more pool of blood. I want to hear more melodic screams. I grinned. I'm starting to like this feeling.
