I am going to say this probably won't be the last of these two butting heads. Well game on! Thanks for reading! -A :)
Baylor POV After going back upstairs last night I decided that for now, my mattress was a dead loss, so I had Mitchum help me shove it through the window. I made due using the boxspring, using the clean linens I managed to find. It wasn’t as comfortable as the mattress had been, but it would do. This morning I was still pissed over the whole situation, so I decided to release some of my pent up anger and find out just how good this wolf healing stuff really was. “Dane, I’m in a shitty mood and I need a positive way to release. Will you spar with me this morning for training and don’t hold back?” His eyebrows rose in shock. “Alpha, are you sure that’s what you really want?” he asked skeptically. “I’m the Alpha and that means I am the boss, right?” I asked. “Yes of course Alpha, but…” he started to reply. “No buts Dane. If it makes you feel any better, I’m ordering you not to hold back,” I cut him off and insisted. “Ok Alpha, remember your posture and keep your hands up,” Dane remi
Baylor POV I avoided the packhouse the rest of the day after breakfast. I didn’t want to run into Delania again. Who knows what would happen next? She frustrates me beyond belief but she is beautiful and something happens when her tiny body is near mine. I lose rational thought and want to kiss her as much as I want to throttle her. That’s just not right. My damn wolf, Shammus doesn’t help matters. He randomly flashes pictures of Delania in my head. Sometimes it’s just her eyes, other’s it is her lips, but more often than not the horny bastard flashes images of what he believes she looks like naked. Alpha Colin mind-linked me to let me know the supplies for our temporary housing structures had arrived. So I am heading to the site where we decided the structures would make the most sense as both housing and then for their later uses. When I arrived at the site, I didn't know what I was expecting to see, but I didn't think I would see a pallet with bags of concrete and four neat pi
Baylor POV When I went back into the packhouse there I could hear Mitchum laughing hysterically, “That’s a trip, do it again.” I walked into the dining room and Siobhan was sitting with her chair facing away from the table and there was a little stuffed dog sitting on her rounded belly. Mithchum was standing beside her staring at her stomach intently. I thought I was odd, until it looked like the little dog hopped. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the movement. “That’s entertainment at its finest,” I teased. “The baby is very active this evening forsure,” Siobhan beamed. “That’s good. You look more rested this evening, how do you feel?” I asked. “I feel like a balloon ready to burst, but all is well,”she replied. “Good, I’m glad. If you’ll excuse me I need to help with dinner,” I said and walked into the kitchen. “What can I do to help ladies?” I asked. “Actually Alpha, we have more than plenty of help. These ladies here are interested in being permanent help,” Phoebe told me. “That’
Baylor POV Meeting during dinner actually turned out to be rather productive. Mitchum volunteered to be the ranked member of the team heading out in the morning to bring the pack members from the caverns home, to act as an ambassador of sorts. I asked Fred to lead the mission and surprisingly enough only had a small argument with Delania when I told her she needed to stay here while the others went. “I don’t understand why I can’t go and help with bringing everyone here,” she sulked. “Because you are needed here right now. And before you flip out about not being an Omega, you’re the only one who can manage things while Siobhan isn’t able. Beta female Phoebe and Gamma female Fiadh already have their hands full with doing their own individual duties plus sharing Luna duties. Luna Freya is trying to teach them everything she can about fulfilling their roles in pack function. She is also tending to Siobhan, though that’s not a huge task other than making her rest up for the birth of he
Unknown POV Oh how rich is this? Alpha Stephan Leary is traveling with his young Luna and newborn mutt. Given the direction of their travels, I suspect they are heading to Skatom Mochain. Too bad they will never reach their destination. Stephan provided asylum to members of Skatom Mochain and fought against Cillian and his band of misfits that I enlisted to help destroy them. Cilian learned quickly what happens when you fail the King. Well Stephan, you know what they say? No good deed goes unpunished and now is the time for your punishment. They are traveling with only minimum security, so that will make the attack that much easier. The fool feels safe after all these years, falsely believing that the threat no longer exists. No one ever knew that it wasn’t Cillian behind the attack. Stephan will find out too late how wrong he was. I almost wish I could draw out his death, but moving swiftly is the better option to ensure everything goes according to my plan. No matter if torture wo
Baylor POV “Thanks for that. My brain just froze back there,” I said to Alpha Colin as we ran to follow the warrior. “It will be second nature soon enough, Baylor. Where was this warrior stationed?” he asked. “Border Patrol to my knowledge. Mitchum sets these things up and I just glance at them,” I replied, wishing that I paid more attention to the schedules. When we got to the border I didn't even know what to think. There were two men and a baby. The first man was a wall of muscle. He was dark like a good cup of coffee, his hair was close cropped to his head and though he had facial hair you could clearly see the scowl on his face. There was blood on him but he appeared unharmed. It was the second man who was clearly injured and being supported by the first man and clearly in need of help. “What’s going on here? Alpha Colin questioned. “I’m here on vacation and was going to pay a visit to Drake and Dara when I came across this man being attacked by rogues. I could see he had been
Baylor POV When we arrived at the packhouse oddly enough the only person in the living room was Kenneth, my best friend and Beta. Baby Marlon had fallen asleep during the walk back and for that I was thankful, but it wouldn’t be long before he would wake again and be hungry or worse; need a diaper change. When Kenneth spotted me coming through the door he got a confused look on his face. When his mouth opened to say something, I mind-linked him. ‘Go up to my room. We’ll talk there.’ He simply nodded and walked up the stairs. When we got into the room, I laid the pup on my bed before going to sit on Mitchums bed to talk to Kenneth. “You know how Alpha Stephan was supposed to be coming to help build the temporary housing?” I asked Kenneth. “Yeah, he was just waiting for his Luna to have their pup, so they could travel,” he replied casually. “Well Stephan isn’t coming and that is his pup.” I said pointing to where Marlon was laying on my bed. “What are you gonna do Bay?” Kenneth asked.
Siobhan POV I am so happy to finally be able to hold my gift from Selene in my arms. She is absolutely perfect, my little Connie Avery Cashel. I hope that Fiadh is right though, and that Alpha isn’t upset with me. The Moon Goddess told me that Connie and I are an important part of a task she assigned to Alpha. I don’t know what the task is, but I know it will be important to work with him on this. I will ask him about it tomorrow. Tonight I am exhausted and I need to rest and take care of my pup. She is absolutely breathtaking. I have unwrapped her from her blanket several times just to admire her ten little fingers and ten little toes. It just tickles me to see them so tiny and perfect, just like she is. Feeding her the first time had been much easier than I had anticipated, but I listened to Luna Freya when she told me what to do and Connie latched right on. Then when she had her fill, I rubbed and patted her back like Luna had explained. As much as I would love to sit and hold
