52. Headstrong
Calli comes and grabs my arm, her blonde hair coming loose from its ponytail. She tucks it back with her free hand whilst pulling on me, stopping me from going after Daryl.
“Men” she rolls her eyes which makes me smile, in a way, she reminded me of Jordan who also didn’t give a shit about men or their rank, just look at Cole. “Just ignore him Ashley, I know he is your mate, but you have a right to independency and you need to know how to protect yourself.

I don’t see Daryl for the rest of the day and I was grateful, instead I was spending the afternoon mulling over Christians words and wondering if he had felt the sparks between us like I had. Searching the house and the grounds, he is nowhere to be found, Daryl is sparring with one of the men from Christians pack and watches me hastily march across the grounds.
