A shocking Revelation

Meanwhile...

Blue Crescent Pack ....

"Sebastian was here yesterday, the Beta of starlight Pack!" Eli, intending Alpha of Blue crescent pack said to his father- Thomas, The ruling Alpha.

"That Arrogant piece of shit!, He still couldn't come here himself, he sent someone!" He seethed and Eli nodded in agreement , ofcourse he had to, if he wanted to be crowned Alpha on the next full moon night instead of his twin brother - Ethan, he should be ready to do anything to please his father to make him seem more eligible for the title.

Eli shifted nervously, feeling the tension in the room escalate.

"Who attended to him?!" Alpha Thomas asked.

"Ethan and I" he replied

"Get me Ethan, what's his take on this ?!" He added.

"Actually, Ethan didn't really ..."

"Go get me Ethan!" His father interrupted strictly and he took a small bow before finally stepping out to get Ethan.

"Good Afternoon Father," Ethan said with a small bow as he stepped in with Eli and they both took their seat in front of Alpha Thomas.

"I heard Sebastian was here Yesterday?!" He asked and Ethan nodded slowly.

"He was!"

"Good! Now I'm sure you're aware of all that is going on!"

"They need us as much as we need them, " Alpha Thomas said and Ethan nodded slowly.

"So what's your take on what should be done, I already know Eli's, he isn't willing to compromise " he said as he passed Eli a short glance before turning back to Ethan.

Ethan cleared his throat deeply as he sat up straight.

"Actually in the first place father you didn't let me in on all that was happening, I'm not sure why,"

"But this is my thought father and I'm sorry if it doesn't align with yours!"

"Speak!" Thomas Urged.

"Actually, I feel like our demand was greedy and way out of line!" He said and Eli turned to face him immediately.

"What the hell are you talking about!" Eli demanded,

"I should have known it's something nasty going through your mind when you said nothing yesterday!" He growled.

"Let him speak!" Thomas said calmly but with so much authority and Eli relaxed in his seat.

"Yes I agree the mineral resources is mainly from our pack, but they do the all of the refining and packaging, marketing and everything!"

"And we still get forty-five percent of revenue! That's good enough Father!" He said.

"Now asking for seventy percent?! That's so way out of line !"

"Then they decide to come to a fifty-fifty agreement!"

"We should actually take that Father!"

"If we think about it, we actually need the money than they do, the mineral resources is our only value, and I'm sure before now you know none of the other packs was willing to invest" he said and Thomas nodded slowly.

"At the end of the day, Starlight pack is the only pack that comes close to competing with Dowgar Pack in terms of strength , maybe we could benefit from an alliance with the Starlight Pack. We could help each other in times of need," he said

"Alliance? With them? Never. We are the Blue Crescent Pack, and we stand on our own. We don't need anyone's help." Eli growled.

"We've never needed their help before, and we don't need it now," he barked, slamming his hand down on the table.

"So are you trying to say I'm greedy?!" Thomas asked after a while as he uncrossed his legs on the chair and looked straight into Ethan's eye.

Ethan didn't say anything, he just slowly diverted his gaze as he looked at the picture portrait behind Thomas.

"You know, you're my son but your judgement is quite different from mine!"

"I already apologized from the onset!" Ethan finally said.

"In one word, what do you want us to do?!" He asked.

"Accept the offer!"

"That's preposterous!" Eli growled,

"We own the resources, we should earn more!" He said.

"I have the packs interest at heart father! What we should be doing instead is to save up the revenue we would be getting and have our own refinery, then this wouldn't even be an issue!"Ethan said.

"Are you even listening to yourself?! A refinery that is a many- year long project !"

"If you have the pack's interest at heart you'll realize that Alliance with Dowgar Pack is better than Alliance with starlight pack!"

"I'm positive starlight pack is better in terms of everything!"

"They used to be, when Alpha Jethro was still in charge! Can you be a little thoughtful!" Eli snapped

"We had a very strong bond with them when Alpha Jethro was in charge, and now we're going to throw all that away because his son is now in charge?!"

"For Alpha Jethro to willingly step down for his son before his reign is over?! I'm certain Killian is quite capable!"

"Why exactly are we thinking of breaking alliance with them now and forming one with Dowgar Pack!"

"Everyone knows Alpha Aiden and his son to be quite treacherous!"

"I'm quite sure Theodore put you up to this! Starlight pack trusted us when no one did, now they've put in the work, Dowgar Pack now wants to reap where they didn't sow!"

"Killian will be the youngest of all new Alpha! He is definitely not mature with stuff like this, we need to side with a more formidable pack!" Eli protested

"Dowgar Pack will be going against them, what do you think will happen to us if that happens!"

"Okay so this is what this is about, how much more shameless can you get!" Ethan slammed

"That's enough!" Alpha Thomas intervened immediately before it turned to one of their incessant fights.

"I'll think about all the both of you have said!" Thomas said as he slowly stood up and walked out of the room.

Ethan and Eli bowed in respect until he was completely out of the room.

"Keep pretending to be good, being good is weakness and this pack needs a strong Alpha who isn't swayed by emotions!"

"Or who wants the barest minimum for his pack members!" Eli said staring at Ethan spitefully.

"Well the night of the full moon is in few weeks, we'll find out about that!" Ethan said as he made for the door.

"Don't get your hopes high brother! I'm the first born twin after all!" Eli said with a deep taunting laughter, Ethan walked out anyway not in the least bothered by his brother intense jealousy for him.

Starlight Pack ....

Evening ....

"How was your day?!" Marcus asked Layra as she placed their food on the table .

"Actually my day was quite eventful and I wanted to speak to you guys about it" she said as she took her seat on the dinning also.

"So today, I was ....." She began but got interrupted by the loud uproar that just erupted outside.

She turned immediately to exchange glances with her brothers and they also turned to face eachother.

As the commotion outside grew louder, Layra's heart began to race with fear. She could hear the growls and snarls, she had no idea what was going on, she knew the creatures that makes this kind of noise and her mind slowly raced back to the guy she met in the forest today.

Marcus and Xander were already on their feet, their chairs falling back with a loud clatter as they rushed towards the door. Layra watched them go, her heart in her throat as she wondered what was happening outside.

When she stepped out into the cool night air, she saw chaos all around her.

The pack's territory was under attack once again, and this time the rogues seemed more organized and ferocious than ever before.

Lyra's eyes went wide immediately she saw the creatures outside, the guy at the forest wasn't joking, neither was her neighbour!

In the midst of the fray, Layra fearfully searched for her brothers, all she could think about was if they would survive such an attack.

Her eyes widened immediately they landed on Xander transform into his werewolf form.

She sauntered backward in fear as he gradually took his werewolf form fully, her eyes quickly searched for Marcus but she couldn't find him because every creature in front of her were wolves.

She had never seen her brothers do this before, of course, infact never in her wildest imagination had she pictured this!.

All her mind could scream was, who exactly are her brother, even now she was starting to doubt her own identity.

*"The life you have here is an illusion!"* Xander's voice resounded in her head

As they fought with savage fury, Layra felt her stomach turn. It was as if her brothers had become animals, wild and bloodthirsty, and she couldn't reconcile this image with the loving, protective siblings she had known all her life.

After some minutes of heated battle, the scruffy looking wolves who obviously attacked were lying badly injured and some dead on the floor.

They slowly began to change to their human form and they were stark naked.

When the battle finally ended, Layra could barely stand to look at Marcus and Xander, they were still in their wolf form and she slowly moved forward to where she was standing.

She felt sickened by what she had seen, and couldn't help but wonder if this was what they were truly like underneath their human guise.

Without a word, she turned and ran. She didn't know where she was going, only that she had to get away from her brothers and this place. She needed time to process what had happened, and to figure out if she could ever look at her brothers the same way again.
