The next day...

Lyra stirred slowly in her sleep and her eyes fluttered open. She sat upright as she took in her environment. She was in her room, a glass of water and a tablet of aspirin sat on the side table.

She groaned as she felt a throbbing pain in her head. She felt a sneeze coming and she raised her elbow, sneezing into it. She quickly reached out for the medicine, tossed one into her mouth and gulped it down with the glass of water. She sniffed as she placed it on the table again.

Bless whoever had thought to bring her that. Now the question was who brought her home? She had remembered being in the forest last night, crying her eyes out when the rain began falling and she finally blacked out. So how the hell was she in her house again?

She made to stand up but her feet wobbled and she sat back on her bed. She was feeling so weak and tired in every part of her muscles and she could feel her body burning up already. How long had she stayed in the rain yesterday? She should hav
