I'm done

Killian walked into the bedroom, holding a tray with a plate of pancakes and a steaming cup of tea on it . He carefully set the tray on the side table and crouched on the floor.

A small smile formed on his face as he stared at Lyra's sleeping figure. His hands left his sides as his fingers traced her cheeks.

How was he even going to bring himself to tell her, that he was the main reason she couldn't have a happy life with her parents, that he was the reason behind her mother's death. Lyra was going to hate him for that, and he hated it, because he wouldn't be able to live without her. He needed to tell her before she finds out from someone else, but how was he going to bring himself to do that?

Suddenly Lyra's eyes fluttered open and she groaned lowly, as she stirred in the bed. Killian shifted backwards as he watched her sit upright on the bed, resting on the bedhead.

"How long have you been sitting there, staring at me?" She asked softly, a small smile on her face.

"Not quite long"
