Moon Phase 9: He lost his big brother, bestfriend, and right-hand man.

(Dr. Albert Curie POV)

"Are you Dr. Curie? Are you that foolish man?"

"Yes, I am Dr. Curie but I'm not a foolish man." he grinned at me.

"You have created a weapon for the vampires?! You humans really are fools!" snarl one of them.

"Maybe to your kind I am. But you forced us to help them. Your people have been attacking us without restraints."

"Vampires are just using you! Your species serve them blindly. You will soon regret your creation Dr. Curie."

One of the guards started shooting, the wolf anticipated the gunman and rushed to his direction. He pinned him down and disarmed him. His fellow wolves disarmed the rest. They were blindingly fast.

"What do you want?"

"You need to come with us."

"You're trying to kidnap me? What exactly do you want from us?" He didn't answer me. One of them went to the car and opened the door where my wife was sleeping.

"Come with us or she dies." I didn't have a choice; her safety will always be the most important for me.

"Don't worry Dr. Curie, we will release you as soon as you make our request."

I pointed my gun on my temple and threatened to shoot. I know that it's me they were after. My existence was just putting my wife at risk.

"Trust me, you don't want to do that. Your wife will surely suffer, we will make her suffer!" that made me lower my gun.

"Release her. I will go with you."

"She'll be coming with us; You need something to motivate you from doing what you're asked."

I was forced to go with them together with my wife. I know it seems odd but I was hoping that a vampire would save us soon. Our aid to them, cause us to harm by the werewolf’s. Tss. Hope they don’t disappoint us.

(EL’s POV)

With my uncle's death, I felt the same grief I have felt when my mother died. But killing him with my own hands would leave a deeper scar. I found myself sitting on the roof and let my tears fell on my cheeks. This world is so unfair.

Suddenly, I heard heavy footsteps approaching me, his scent belonged to my father. He sat beside me and patted my shoulder.

"This world is made only for the strong. Bad things happen to remind us that we are not in control of our fate. Your uncle was the strongest wolf I ever know. Like you, he taught me how to fight and think like a leader. I know that you will continue to make him proud by being the best Alpha of our pack, someday. Everything happens for a reason, only the future can reveal what it is." Those were his only words, we remained grieving in silence. The Grand Alpha… grieving with me.

A car caught my vision from a distance. The scent of its two passengers where new to me. It belonged to a human.

"Get inside." he ordered and get up. “Your wounds need to be treated.” and disappeared quickly. He wanted to make sure that I would obey him this time, two guards appeared on my side and escorted me.

He was afraid that something bad might happen to me, he's not taking any risks now. My father has an intimidating appearance but deep inside, he has a soft spot when it comes to his family.

(Dr. Albert Curie’s POV)

My wife woke up when we were already at the werewolf’s territory.

"Albert.." she quickly noticed the odd surroundings.

"We have been kidnapped by werewolves." I confirmed to her.

"What do they want from us?" her eyes filled with horror. I don’t like seeing it.

"They ask for our help."

"Albert..." I looked at her and would like to tell her that everything is going to be alright, but I wasn't so sure for our safety myself. I just don't want anything bad happen to her.

"Why did they bring us here?!"

"They didn't say anything yet." I held her closer to me. A look of worry showed on my wife's face. "Everything has its end Samantha. This too will end just like the project we had with the vampires."

"Albert..."

"Shhh... They promised not to hurt us, Samantha."

"But we just managed to free ourselves from the vampire’s possession, you promised me!"

"Sometimes there are things we can't control. Let's just do what they ask us to do and get over it quickly."

They opened the door shortly after.

I kissed my wife's cheek before I went outside the car. I took her hand and helped her out. We were met in front of a huge mansion. This is the werewolf’s main territory. An attempt by the vampires to invade the wolves stronghold have failed in the past. Their attack had caused the life of their Vampire lord, Alucard who was killed by the wolves' grand alpha.

Their Grand Alpha just did his duty to protect his pack.

"Follow us." I held my wife's hand and followed the werewolf. We were met by some assistants that looked to despise our presence. Contrary to our beliefs that wolves are just savage creatures, we were met by grand architecture inside. The walls were designed intricately matched with sublime paintings depicting the history of the wars fought in the past. Huge chandeliers lit the whole place as we walked through a wide hallway.

My wife looked exhausted. I was also feeling tired already.

A huge door opened for us, we were met by a huge figure of a man, his aura exuding with authority. I can't be mistaken, this man is their Grand alpha, his assistants stood behind him. They gazed at us like predators.

"Have a seat." he offered with a deep thundering voice. He's intimidating but he seems civilized. I only heard stories about them to be ruthless creatures, I didn't expect their leader to act this reserved in front of humans.

One of his assistants served us a tea.

"What do you want from us?" he smiled, his assistants paced himself in front of us. This one looked different from the others. I wasn't sure but he looked like a vampire.

"I am Lupoz, the grand Alpha's secretary. And yes, I am a vampire." I was puzzled, but there were other things that needed my concerns more. "We heard that you managed to create a serum that would help my kind, allowing them to endure the daylight."

"Just answer our question and get to the point." my wife said with anger. The Grand Alpha nodded to his secretary, introduction was over.

"Have you ever heard about the werewolf phenomenon?" I smiled, it seems that they really like explaining things first.

"Whatever you're about to say is just an attempt to deceive us to your desires!" It’s my wife again. I held my wife's hand tightly. I looked at her and tried to calm her down. Whispered to her...

"We still don't know what they want from us. Let's listen to them first." wolves have sharp sense of hearing, they surely heard everything I said.

"Your wife seems to be tired already." the Grand Alpha closed his eyes when he heard the voice. It belonged to a female human. "Females of our kind really have sharp tongues." she sat beside the Grand Alpha. What's the meaning of this?

The woman smiled at me and offered her hand.

"Tasha." she introduced herself. I shook my head and refused to shake her hand. She looked embarrass by my response.

"Tss! It's just a handshake!" I looked at my wife and said something before her. "With all due respect, we don't want to waste more time with more introductions. Tell us now what you want."

The alpha opened his eyes and signaled one of his men to take the woman out of the room. She resisted but they forced to drag her out. My eyes were only fixed to the alpha.

"You are here to find a solution to our problem. There are some nights when some of our kind randomly looses control of themselves. They are the ones that causes the attack on the humans, I must admit. But before that, they tend to massacre their own family first making our kind also vulnerable to this phenomenon."

I nodded at him. The alpha brushed through his hair with his eyes closed, he sighed and looked back at me. Somehow I didn't feel danger in his presence, his demeanor was confident but calm.

He stood up...

"Make them follow me." he ordered. Me and my wife followed him.

My wife grabbed onto my shoulder while we're walking. I surveyed our surrounding and look for a possible escape. It would be impossible. The mansion itself is very secured added by his men who guarded their posts.

Using an elevator, he led us to the basement. A foul smell greeted us when the elevator opened. We walked through a hallway leading to a huge door. The lights flickered while nearing ourselves to the door, the smell was getting stronger in every step making my head heavy. It smelled like a wild animal.
