Part 2

Chase stared at me with his head tilted to the side, an adorable red shade basking his pale cheeks and he timidly nodded.

"Sure."

I smiled and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I reached it out to him. He looked at me in confusion before realization dawned on him and he quickly grabbed the phone from my hand. I couldn't brush the sizzles of emotions that surged through me from the slight touch of our hands. I retracted my hand quickly and coughed to get rid of the hotness off my very visible flushed face.

He typed and saved his number in my phone. We couldn't mind link due to him not being a werewolf, but I'd be able to once we mate and I mark him.

My wolf purred at the thought of us mating and a low growl crossed out of her mouth from wanting to mark our mate as soon as possible.

But I knew we had to take one step at a time, humans weren't attached that way to mates like we were. And I'd wait for him to finally open up, no matter how long it takes.

Once I put my phone back in my pocket, I looked up to meet his eyes already staring at me. I smirked, causing him to divert his gaze, flustered.

Goddess, he was adorable.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 5, does it sound good?" I asked.

He met my gaze once more and gave me a rare, sweet smile. I noticed the slight dent on his right cheek. With that dimple, any girl would be all over him.

Another growl got released by my wolf, this possessive bitch. But I knew I'd be tempted to rip out each pair of eyes that even dared to look him the wrong way.

He seemed to be having a conflict in his mind sbout something, maybe didn't have the courage to speak out his thoughts. I raised my brows in a silent way of urging him to speak his mind. I wanted him to know he has nothing to fear when with me.

"Ca-can I maybe pick you up instead?"

My heart fluttered, racing inside my chest and making me clench my fists to resist from jumping on him right then and there.

I smiled in glee, nodding quickly. I have never smiled this much in a single day.

"Sure. I'll text you my address."

"Don't you live in the pack house?" He questioned with furrowed brows.

"Not always. I have my own house." I informed and he nodded, understanding.

"Alright. I'll get going now." He said and looked down at the watch on his wrist, his eyes widening slightly as he swallowed. "I-it's late. Bye." With that he scurried away, leaving me without a chance to say goodbye.

I could sense the nervousness and anxiety rolling off of him in waves. Being the Alpha and also a werewolf, we could sense our mates' emotions, after mating though, there would be no boundaries between our souls.

Why did he seem so scared? It's not even an hour after school yet.

I knew something was up and very, very wrong. My wolf seemed a bit agitated and kept whining in distress from our mate's evident morbid expression.

But right mow, I have nothing to do. I'd have to ask him sometime though. I needed to know.

I decided to wear my favorite grey off shoulder top with stripped jeans, my hair pulled up in a pony tail. My excitement was overwhelming my senses as my wolf, Asia, was growing restless by the second.

"Calm down, girl. We're gonna get to him soon." I assured her and she puffed in annoyance then relaxed.

As I sat outside on the lawn, waiting for my mate, suddenly flashes of pain littered my arms and I seethed, groaning as the pain felt like something slashing the skins of my arms open. I slowly regained my composure and realization hit me.

It was my mate. He was hurting.

My wolf growled, wanting to shred anything or anyone to pieces that had dared to hurt my love.

I jumped on my feet, pacing back and forth. I dialed his number but it only kept ringing. He wasn't picking up, raging my panic and anxiety.

My emotions were skyrocketing the more time passed by. Not being able to link him or reach out to him, my frustration grew.

After about half past 5, I finally spotted his lean figure approaching the gates. I smiled in relief. I have already instructed the keepers to let him in so it was no problem when he gave his name and they let him in.

He was a bit dull and eyes hollow but as soon as he looked up and met mine, his face brightened up. His smile was the single most intoxicating thing I've ever experienced and it made my heart race against time.

"Hey." He breathed out, he sounded a bit strained yet so hot.

I quickly turned around and fanned my face to cool it down then turned back to him, showing him my biggest smiles, I doubt any of my pack memebers have seen it. Except for Aiden and Hannah maybe.

"Hi."

I closely inspected his outfit.

He was wearing a lime button down, a white jacket on and tight fitted jeans, accentuating the curves of his muscled thighs, Asia whined from the desire that wanted to claim him.

He shifted uncomfortably under my gaze, but the tints of red on his cheeks made me smile even more.

"Sorry for being late." He mumbled and I was suddenly reminded of the pain on my arms.

My eyes darkened in the slightest and I clasped my hands behind my back, which was my usual stance during the interrogations.

"Are you hurt?"

My question paled him, the slight tremor of his hand didn't go unnoticed by me. He darted his gaze around then landed them me with a dreadful shadow over their beautiful blueness. My heart churned, my wolf was crawling around my mind's walls to come forward and comfort our mate.

"W-why would you think so?" He stuffed his hands in his pockets, kicking the invisible pebbles on the ground.

I opened my mouth to say I felt it but decided against it. He might not be ready to share his abusive life yet and it'd only scare him off.

"Nothing. Shall we go now?"

The paleness visibly disspitated and the smile returned, he shrugged his shoulders in relaxation.

He battled something in his inner mind before slowly stretching his palm out toward me. I was literally floating on cloud nine.

I gave him my hand and sparks flew, our hands fitted like puzzle pieces. His hand was a little larger and it perfectly wrapped around mine.

"Let's go." We walked outside the gates. The guards bowed at us and I nodded in return, Chase took me to his car which was a beat up old truck. But it seemed aesthetic. And it suited his personality quite well.

"My m-mom gifted it to me when I turned 17." He informed with a fond smile.

"She's gorgeous."

"You like it?" His stormy eyes twinkled.

"Of course."

"She's my everything." He replied bashfully and I felt a rock in my stomach.

If a truck was his everything, then who was I?

"You good?"

"Yeah." I let my poker face overtake and smiled quickly.

"Geez, you get jealous over a fucking truck? Pfft!"

I rolled my eyes at my wolf's sassy remark.

Chase politely held the passenger side door open for me and I hopped on. He closed it and jogged around to get in the driver's seat.

When we were all buckled up, he turned the key and the truck roared to life, along with a huge bunch of smoke.

He awkwardly smiled at me then sped up, and I chuckled.

Anticipation to spend the day with my mate making me feel a different kind of exhiliration, that not even torturing the rogues could make me feel.
