He brought me to a cafe on the outskirts of my pack, which was the biggest, so it almost felt like we were on the country side.He parked his car near a cozy looking cafe. As I attempted to jump out, he raised a hand to stop me. I frowned but he only smiled in return and got out.I thought he was going to open my door for me but he walked inside the cafe. What was he doing? My confusion only hightened. But I waited patiently. After about 10 minutes, he walked out. I saw two parcel bags in his hands as he got back in the car."Aren't we going in there?" I asked. He smirked and turned the gear, swiveling the car backwards and we were back on the road."Date in a cafe is too common. So, I bought food for us, we'd go somewhere else."I nodded, pouting.Inside, I was swooning. He sure knew how to impress a girl. The drive to our next destination wasn't much longer. He parked along a dirted road and this time climbed out and held my door open for me. I cheekily smiled and jumped out. He took the packed food and I followed him inside the woods. We stopped near the edge of a cliff, a breathtaking lake was there. The sun was high and its light glowered on the sparkling water of the lake, making it look ethereal and I was captivated by the sight. It was exquisite."This place- it's wonderful." I exclaimed. Skipping around the lake with a joyous laugh that escaped me. I was surprised at myself. "I have never been here before."When I stopped, Chase was looking at me. His eyes shining as the sunrays bounced against his crystal orbs. He looked at me like I was his world. And for the first time in my life, I blushed. Profusely."It's my spot. Well, not really." He rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous chuckle. "But I like to call it my spot. Whenever I feel low or lonely, I come here and my spirit automatically lifts."I listened to him, mesmerized yet there was a dull ache in my heart. It was from Chase. He was aching, and I was dying to be there for him. To comfort and help him."Glad to know." I said.He turned to me, a light blush on the tip of his ears. He was beyond adorable. Asia cooed, so did I."Let's sit down there." He pointed to a huge oak tree.He walked there and we flopped down on the soft grass, it was a bit dewy and felt pricky against our skins. But refreshing nonetheless.I watched him intently as he got the food out of the packs. He had bought two orange muffin cakes, one meat box, two cups of latte."Wow. You got my favorite." I stated, taking the latte from his hand and sipping on it."Thank God." He beamed. He slightly leaned back on his hand, sipping his own latte and eyes trained out at the flamboyant scenary in front of us."So, what do you do besides college?" I asked casually, wanting to know more about this human. As we sat there in peace, I could feel our bond humming to life. Loving how close we were. His ocean breezy scent engulfed my nostrills, making me feel a kind of peace I have never felt before.Today, he smelled a bit like butter and it was way more intoxicating, clouding my brain from thinking properly. His sultry voice snapped me out of my wandering thoughts."I work at the cafe I bought this from. The Dahlia. Then I tutor two 7th grade kids after my classes. I also tend to Mrs. Grace's garden on occasion."My hand turned into a fist on the grass. My mate worked all day and maybe night even, without any rest. My mate. The most strongest Alpha's mate. Before I could stop myself I blurted out, "What does your parents do? Why do you have to work so much?" My anger was evident.Although he was an adult and could perfectly take care of his own self, it was yet unsettling how much he had to work. On top of it all, he was abused. I wondered by who.He tensed from my question, his hand tightening around the cofffee cup as he was in a conflict in his mind. Probably pondering over to what expose or not.Asia howled. I kept her at bay, not wanting to create a scene on our first ever date."My mom- she- uh- she died the previous year. I live with my dad and my siblings. Dad got kicked out of his job for embezzlement. And my siblings, two of them have their own place. But the other two stay with dad and I." He exhaled sharply, resuming to sip from his cup then continued."I work extra to save some money for myself, so that I can escape that hellhole and have my own life. And also, for living."I was sure my eyes were dark by now. But there was also this sadness within, which made me feel bad for asking such personal question. But he was my mate. I had every right to know about his life."I'm sorry if it was too personal." I admitted."It's alright, I guess. You would've known sooner or later anyway."I gave him a tight lipped smile. He sighed again, this time smiling and grabbing a spoon to dig from the meat box.The air turned lucid around us and I also relaxed."Who do you have in your family?" He inquired after a couple seconds, munching on a bite of sausage, his eyes shone with genuine curiosity."Dad, my beta, gamma, maids, cook, gardener, my younger twin brothers, my governess since childhood, Layla. They are the family that stay at the pack house with me. But in my own home, I live by myself. And other than that, my whole pack is my family. I can do anything for them, just as they will do the same for me."When I finished, he had a gaping face which made me chuckle and I used my pointer finger to close his opened mouth by his chin. Both of us shivered from the touch, and his cheeks immediately took on a darker shade of crimson.I winked at him and if possible, he was turning into a tomato. I loved making him blush. I loved how much I affected him."That's- that's so cool actually. To have so many people that love you, care about you." He said it longingly. "I wish I had a family like that."I was sure he didn't want to let that one out but I heard it anyway, and the slip up clenched my heart painfully. From how sad he sounded, and how lonely he must feel."You have me."I blurted out without thinking, but I didn't regret it even for a second. He has me. I would always be there for him. No matter what. He was the other half of my soul, my heart, my life. He was destined for me, and he was my everything. His head whipped toward me and I could hear his heart hammering in his chest loudly, the blue in his pupils swirling with want, longing, desire, and mostly, hope. They were flashing so many emotions, it was nearly becoming impossible to not kiss him.He was quick to compose himself though, a cocky smirk took place on his plump lips and he shook his head."What's your favorite color?" He diverted the topic."Blue." He bit his bottom lip at my answer and I did the same, hoping it was me that was biting his lip.Asia scoffed and rolled her eyes at my lustful desires. But I knew that bitch was even more eager than me."Your?""Your eyes." He replied in a single heartbeat. "They keep swirling between purple and green. And it's my favorite color. From today."That smooth bitch."Uh-huh?" I arched an eyebrow and he giggled. "Smooth, Chasey. Real smooth."He choked on the sausage and started coughing violently as I quickly crawled close to him to pat his back. Tingles shot up our spines as I touched him.He calmed down and I handed him my water bottle that I always carry in my bag."You okay?"He nodded, gulping the water down. A few drops dripped down his chin. He attempted to wipe it off but I beat him to it. He shuddered and his eyes stayed locked on mine, intensely to be precise.Even after I was done, I kept my fingers on his chin a moment longer just to keep feeling his skin before readjusting on my previous place. Quite reluctantly to be honest. We continued the rest of the date with laughter and getting to know more about each other untill the sun was slowly lowering and it was time to go.•••°°°•••*Two years later*It still felt surreal.Three years of total with my mate, yet it felt like an eternity has passed and it still wasn't enough time to have spent together. It's our second anniversary and the day of our wedding was still as vivid as the occuring day in my mind and heart.I must admit and believe it was the most beautiful, eathereal day of my life.Under the Full Moon, all of us gathered, several packs were invited and it was a mass of a commotion that bounded us all.Blessed by the Moon Goddess, acknowledged by several fellow werewolves and humans, we were bounded by the law of humans.Chase looked as glorious and elegant as the moonlight. Dressed in a dark blue tux and hair styled in a fashionable way. Eyes gleaming with all the love in the world.I had a dark blue dress on, matching his tux and my hair was neatly tucked in a messy bun. My mother's hair pin sat idley at the back of my bun, like an invisible support and love from her from up the above.I had dad come o

But in my heart, I knew it was the only right thing. For werewolves, marriage was only something to be applied on papers, because we already bound the moment we mate.I wanted to get married for Chase's purpose, so he knew that we were bounded together for eternity. It was a sight to see when I asked him to marry me. It seemed like his eyes lit up like Christmas tree, so bright and full of gleam. He had jumped on top of me and left feather kisses all over my face, whispering 'yes' in between. I haven't laughed like this in a while. The whole pack was now in a fit. Planning, arranging, yelling, dreaming, way too excited for their Alpha's wedding. It always brought tears to my eyes seeing just how much they loved and respected me. Just how much they've come to accept me.Being the first born, they always knew I'd be the next Alpha. Still, it wasn't like no one had different opinions. Some were against the

A future, a mate, a lovely evening spend in love.I was born and trained to fight by the Alpha's side. I wasn't allowed to have attachment or any affection since I could die anytime. And weaknesses could be used against me in battlefield.Dad was my trainer since he was a warrior himself for Alpha Joseph Moon.He always dreamed to have a son, who'd walk on his steps and become the strongest warrior in the next generation. But I came in his life as a disappointment, a dream-crasher.To worse the matter even more, my mom died after my birth. Leaving my dad with no other option as werewolves barely got second chances or chosen mates. To impress him, or just to hear him say something nice to me, I always trained alongside the others at a very early age.Somehow, da

My fists were balled at my sides, eyes vibrant purple and if it was possible, steam was coming out of my ears.Chase rolled his eyes defiantly, arms crossed over his chest as he openly argued against my decisions."It's my blood, I will do whatever I want with it!" He yelled."Don't you dare. Don't you fucking dare talk like your soul and body aren't connected to mine. We're fucking mates!""Don't pull that card on me! Being mates doesn't mean I can't take my own decisions! I'm the Aleph of this pack. I can take decisions for our pack!""Shit. That's hot. And sexy."I vigorously shook my head to get rid of Asia's horny ass drooling over how hot our mate looked. From all the yelling, his hair fell over his eyes and cheeks flushed from being mad, brows furrowed and breaths heavy. And especially the way he claimed this pack as ours, that was damn hot and it made me

Delighted even. He asked me not to tell everyone yet, they wanted to adjust a little to the oncoming situation before the announcement.Chase and Diana sat on the floor, across from each other. The woman's eyes closed as she chanted something in Latin, gripping my mate's hands way too tightly for my liking. He seemed unfazed, and it assured me that he didn't feel any way uncomfortable. It took around 15 minutes then the incantation ended and Diana released Chase's hands, a foggy wind erupted around, then disepersed in a flash.Diana held up the red liquid from the bowl and poured it into a small vile like the one from before."Let's see if it works." "But who will we test it on?" I asked."Let's ask the rogues who wants to volunteer."I nodded. We all went straight for the dungeons. Somehow everyo

I didn't dare look in his eyes as he was put through the ritual of severing pack ties.He already lived away from us, it wouldn't be a huge deal for him.No matter what, he did raise me as his own, his love for me was nothing but genuine. So, of course, I still cared about him.Nonetheless, a wolf severed from its pack became either a rogue or died rather earlier. I just hope he wouldn't do something stupid."I'll always love you, and want the best for you, my little girl. Ask the Aleph to forgive me. I hope he keeps you happy." Were his last words as he was dragged out of the territory. There were only the First Range Warrior team. I refused to tarnish my dad's, the previous Alpha, reputation.Doctor Kane had taken the first pint of blood for the trial potion, and my eyes wearily inspected Chase's every movement afterwards."For the hundreth time, Rose, I'm completely fine." He grumbled,
