GENEVA’S POV
When I thought I was going to meet my end, the massive white wolf saved me once more. It caught me on its back before I completely fell to my doom. After catching me, I felt like passing out and vomiting. My body felt weak and my consciousness was slowly fading once more.
Before I knew it, I passed out.
(Six hours later...)
My body felt like I had just fallen off a cliff and was hit by multiple rocks. I tried moving but it just felt like my bones were twisting all over the place. "Ugh.." I groaned in pain as I tried to remember what happened. I breathed heavily and the sudden recollection of memories made me open my eyes. I gasped loudly and sat down despite feeling like all my bones were broken.
I looked around and saw that I was surrounded by rocks. I looked down and saw I was in a wooden bed and I held my torso as it hurt too much. I breathed heavily and I looked at the light that was coming from the left side and I saw a man half-naked and only had pants on approach me. "AHH!" I screamed before I stumbled back and fell off the bed.
"Are you alright, my lady?" The man spoke eloquently and my eyebrows furrowed. I checked if I still had all my clothes on and saw that I still do. I looked up and saw him staring at me curiously. "Who are you?!" I shouted and he blinked a couple of times.
His eyes suddenly widened as he looked at me. "Lady Nyla?" His face was puzzled as was mine.
"What? Where am I?!" I started freaking out as I looked around. Was I just dreaming about the bird and the wolf? This can’t be...
"Did you kidnap me?!" I freaked out even more but he just looked confused as I am.
"Pardon but I don’t seem to understand. You’re Lady Nyla, am I right? I don’t understand how I found you in the woods... I need to take you back to the kingdom," he uttered before helping me get up. I kept trying to push him away but he wouldn’t budge.
"Are you insane? Kingdom?" He grabbed a glass with a liquid inside it. He offered it to me and I stared at it before looking at him. "What the hell is that?" I sassily questioned. This man could be trying to poison me for all I know.
"H-hell?" he questioned before blinking a couple of times.
"You need to drink this to recover from your wounds," he uttered and offered the glass and I looked at it disgustingly. I was about to argue but I heard strange noises outside the cave. My eyes widened. "We have to get out of here," he said before grabbing my hand and giving me the glass.
"Please drink that," he said before leaving me.
"Wait-" I panicked and paced back and forth before drinking the liquid inside the glass. I almost puked from the taste and I forced it down my throat.
I looked up and saw that the cave is an open cave. I can see the night sky. My mouth agape as I looked at the bright blood moon surrounded by stars. I then looked around the cave and saw a small tree that looked newly planted in the middle and my eyebrows raised. While I was distracted, I heard growling from a distance. I stumbled back and I looked to the side and saw the white wolf again and my eyes widened.
It laid down and looked at its back before growling. "What? What do you want me to do?" I was a bit panicked. My confusion was overtaken by fear when I saw a man from a distance with bright red eyes and my mouth agape. "AHH!" I screamed once more before looking down at the white wolf and I realized what it was trying to tell me.
I immediately got on its back and once I did, it started bolting the opposite direction from the man with red eyes. I held onto it tightly as I looked back and saw the man running after us, almost the same speed as the wolf and I was shocked to see him move that fast.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?" I shouted my words as if the wolf was going to answer me. Wait- where's the guy from earlier!? Did it get caught by this man with red eyes? Where the hell did this wolf even come from?
This is all confusing. I thought I was dreaming and woke up earlier but then this massive white wolf showed up again.
I looked behind me again and noticed the man was gone. I looked left and right and saw he was gone. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused about what happened. My question was soon answered when the wolf stopped abruptly when the man appeared right in front of us and stared at me deeply in my eyes.
"Nyla…" I blinked a couple of times as I didn't hear it around me but rather heard it in my head. The wolf turned and ran in the other direction again as the man ran after us. "Nyla…" I heard the voice inside my head again. My confusion grew to who that voice was from.
I tried shaking it off but couldn't. "Our lost goddess… You're back again.." the voice uttered ominously as its voice was deep and sharp. It chuckled evilly before uttering, "Your powers will be mine."
My thoughts were put back to place when I saw a massive wall and a gate. I looked behind and saw the red-eyed man following us getting closer and closer as me and the wolf were getting near the entrance as well. "Go faster!" I screamed and the wolf sprinted towards the gate and it opened for us.
We got inside but the man got a hold of my shoulders and pulled me backward. But I held onto the werewolf's fur tightly and we struggled with each other. I screamed loudly and got a lot of people's attention. Another wolf appeared and attacked the man, making it back off.
The wolf sprinted and stopped, throwing me forward. I hit the ground and I groaned loudly. "What the fuck!" I screamed as I held my body and felt the sheer pain and agony.
People gathered around me and eyed me as I struggled with pain. I groaned as I tried to get up. I looked behind me and saw that the man with the red eyes was gone and I sighed in relief.
"God, help me," I murmured under my breath.
I straightened my body before standing up. To my surprise, the pain was almost gone instantly but I was still feeling dizzy. I looked around and saw them staring at me and I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?" I asked.
I looked behind me and saw the massive wolf limping to me. My eyes widened and ran towards it before bending down and holding its head up that's twice as big as mine. "Oh my god!" I screamed as I looked behind it and saw its leg was bleeding.
"We need help!" I screamed.
The people around didn't know what to do. "I said, help us!" I demanded and I heard walking from a distance.
"What is going on here?! The humans, go back to your houses this instant!" Just like that, everyone was gone.
While still not looking behind me, I asked for help. "This wolf saved me, please help it. There was a man.. with red eyes.. chasing us! Please," I asked and I walked to the wolf's leg.
"A human went beyond the kingdom?" another man uttered with a deep voice as he walked towards us. The men around bowed before him and even the wolf did so. I stood up and approached him. "Help the wolf," I said. My god, none of these people are helping!
The man became puzzled as he stared deeply into my eyes and I stared at him. His eyes were rather mesmerizing, the color was bright green. He scanned my face and I felt a bit uncomfortable. "Lady Nyla?" he questioned and I rolled my eyes.
"I don't know who that person is so just stop, okay? This wolf needs help." I sighed and looked up at the sky and noticed how the sun was rising. It's almost daytime.
The man nodded and the other people around helped the wolf. I sighed and held my heart. The relief was so good I felt like passing out. "Lady Nyla?" the man asked and I sighed in frustration.
"For the last time, that's not me!" I screamed.
"Now, where's a phone I can use? Or maybe I'm still dreaming! I need to wake up from this shit," I talked to myself as I looked around and noticed how everything looked medieval.
"A what?"
"I guess you don't have one. You don't have a use," I said before walking away but he grabbed my arm. My eyebrows furrowed and I looked at him. "Let go of me."
He didn't and held onto me tightly. "I said, let go of me." I tried pulling my arm but he didn't budge. I took a deep breath and stared at him deep in the eyes. I lifted my other hand and slapped him hard in the face. His hand let loose and I got my arm back.
His lips parted as he stared at me. "Lady Nyla!" he exclaimed as he couldn't believe what I did. I blew out my breath before walking away. His jaw clenched as he stared at me.
Three men suddenly stopped me from walking away. I tried my best to get away but they kept stopping me. "Go away!" I said as the sun hit my face. It's morning at last.
"I'm literally calling the cops if you don't go away," I said. I'm not even sure if this is a dream or not. A lucid dream perhaps?
I tried pushing them but they were too strong. "Lady Nyla, you're back after a century. Have you lost your memory?" the man with the bright green eyes asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I told you, no! Now let me pass-" My eyes widened when the three men turned into massive wolves. My mouth agape and I stumbled back and I screamed loudly. "The fuck?!" I must be hallucinating. Each of them turned into a brown wolf with different shades almost as big as the white wolf who saved me.
They growled at me and I kept backing away until I hit the man with green eyes. I breathed heavily not believing what my eyes were witnessing and the man held my arm. "We have to take you to the kingdom's sorcerer."
GENEVA'S POV My piercing scream echoed after my hands slipped. The bird shrieked with me before I was swept away mid-air. I let out a loud breath before realizing what had happened. Agnes' hands around me after he caught me from falling felt like a strong lock around my body. "W-we failed to retrieve the wings…" I mumbled as we landed on the ground. I groaned from the pain as he laid me down on the cold grass to what seemed like the last thing I'll feel before passing. "You think I'll recover from this?" I jokingly asked with what little energy I had. "You're not a mortal, you will." I may not be a mortal but I sure as hell feel like one. My powers are weak, and I feel the everlasting exhaustion and pain a human body feels. In a world dominated by werewolves and vampires, I'm not a deity but just a mere mortal right now."What… w-were we?" I hesitated. "We're beings in this–" I shook my head lightly as I coughed. "What… happened– between y-you and me?" I restarted my sentence and
GENEVA'S POVEverything was perfect, the wings were calling for me, and I was waiting for them. The moment was ruined when I felt a pair of hands wrap around my neck as the grip tightened. I swallowed hard, and the wings fell to the ground as guards dragged them away. "No!" I agonizingly screamed. I felt weak, a mere mortal's strength was within me. I looked to my side and saw the king holding me by my neck. "Get your hands off of her!" Wilbur screamed from behind as I heard chains wrap around his wrist. The king smiled deviously as he uttered, "Break the glass window." The guards looked at him with hesitance before gulping. "NOW!" They bowed down before stepping forward. I looked up, staring at the massive glass window with the shade of red."Y-you…" I tried to speak but I was silenced by the pain around my neck. He smirked before laughing maniacally. "This is the deity you choose to follow?" He lifted me up and faced the people that were behind us. Wilbur, on his knees and chain
GENEVA'S POVI've never felt this type of pain in my life. The burning and hot sensation of the blood from my neck makes me feel like I'm at death's door. The pain and agony as my skin ripped apart was a pain I couldn't imagine. "A-Agnes," I whispered, out of breath as he continued taking blood from me. Soon enough, the pain was gone. It was as if it never happened. A numbing sensation was felt across my body as he continued. (I'm sorry, that should help,) he whispered inside my mind as he held me closer. It felt like hours but he only sucked my blood for a couple of minutes before removing his teeth that were buried down my neck. "W-what did you g-give me?" I asked before he lifted me up to carry me. "Something to numb the pain," he whispered before carrying me down the tunnel. I held onto him as I closed my eyes, not believing what just happened to me. My eyes closed by themselves before I heard Thelia screaming in the distance yet I didn't have enough energy to wake up. "What h
GENEVA'S POV My heart was beating fast as the sorcerer helped me put on my clothes. They prepared a beautiful medieval dress in Earth tone that reached my toes with a puffed lower gown and pure white long sleeve top below the black corset. "I believe I didn't sign up to be your maid?" Thelia uttered before laughing as she tightened the corset. I'm not in a laughing mood. "He's going to get killed, what are we going to do to stop them?" I asked Thelia as she finished fixing my clothes. I look like a maiden in the eighteen hundreds, old style yet stravagant. I have no idea what pulls me into this vampire, why I want to save him, but I have to do my best in order to stop him from getting executed. I might be a deity in this realm but I have yet to earn their respect. They won't do as I asked because I'm powerless. I looked around and saw guards open the door to my room as they escorted both Thelia and I outside. The ceremony will begin and the brothers are yet to come home. What
WESLEY'S POVI was beyond shocked after reading the book. I scrolled further until I reached the page where the deity vanished a thousand years ago and how he stopped writing from then on. "The vampires did this," I read the notes before the page ended. The following page, it was blank. I scrolled further until I found the last page with text on it. This was recent, only a few days before we caught them. It is odd how he refers to her in an endearing way. Did they perhaps like each other? "She's finally in my arms again," I read lastly before my eyes landed on the wall where a piece of rock fell. My eyebrows furrowed before I put the book down and scanned the wall. It looks like something is behind it. I grabbed the rocks off the wall before pulling them with force. I was expecting to see the book be hidden but to no avail. It was empty. A loud howl from outside was heard and I immediately grabbed the journal of the vampire n
WESLEY'S POVEarly in the morning with the sun still resting I was called by the King and Queen to the meeting room. I was expecting this to be about the vampire's execution, or maybe the Deity's transformation, or even the hunt for the vampires but it wasn't. "Are you still searching for your mate?" I shook my head before sighing. I stopped searching for her when things got busy because of the Deity. "You need to find her or else you cannot be King," my father uttered and I clenched my jaw. "What if I don't want to be King?" I asked before raising my head and maintaining eye contact with them. My mother couldn't believe what she heard while my father stood up from his seat and slammed his hands on the table. "You are the next in line, you cannot deny your duties!" he shouted and I gulped. "Wilbur can be the King," I suggested and he furrowed his eyebrows. "He hasn't found his mate," he uttered and I scoffed. "None of us has found our mate
