Alpha Prince and the Lost Deity

GENEVA'S POV 

I was walking around the neighborhood like per my usual routine early in the morning. Today is a bit peculiar from the rest of my walks because the sky looks somehow red and there's no daylight despite this hour being the time the sun rises. The breeze was cold yet it was comforting and gave off a nostalgic feeling for some odd reason. It's as if I fell in love with the cold but once was separated from it.

I took a deep breath as I listened to the humming of the birds and the howling of the winds. I looked up at the sky and watched the color transition from red to orange as the sun slowly rose. 

I heard the bush next to me shuffle. "Ack!" I shouted and stepped back, not knowing what's hiding beneath it. I easily get shocked and have no practical skill of self-defense against anything since I was raised spoiled by my family. 

I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth or more likely gold. My family is rich but I didn't take it for granted despite them spoiling me too much. Nonetheless, I'm still an arrogant little brat when people are being bitches to me. 

I bent down to see what the bush was hiding and I was suddenly attacked. "Ah!" I screamed and crawled back. I blinked a couple of times and saw that it was just a cat. I calmed down and stood up. 

My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at the cat. It's pure black with a white half-moon shape on its head which is not something a cat should have, let me tell you that. "The heck?" I questioned before I slapped myself. 

"Ouch!" I screamed. It was worth a try, I was wondering if I was just dreaming. I usually have vivid dreams. 

I extended my hand to pet that cat and touch the moon on its head but it hissed. I took my hand back since I am not in the mood to get bitten and take rabies shots. 

I tried pinching myself and hold and behold, I really ain't dreaming. But how can a cat have a moon on its head?! That's bizarre and quite impossible! 

It suddenly stared at me and the eyes glow white. My mouth agape as I stared back before it turned around and meowed loudly before running to the woods. I don't know what's gotten into me but I started running after the cat as if it was pulling me closer to it. 

I breathed heavily as I ran further into the woods until we reached a cave. I stopped to catch my breath and I looked around and saw the cat look at me before meowing loudly once more. My eyebrows furrowed as we stared at each other before it ran inside the cave. "Wait!" I screamed before following it inside. 

The cave was a bit dark but the sunshine was lighting it up. But as I further went inside, it got even darker and almost pitch black. This might be a bad idea. 

The cat meowed and I followed the sound. I almost tripped over a vine because of how my vision was still not adjusting to the darkness but I saw faint sunlight from the other side. I slowly walked to it and my mouth agape when I saw a massive tree in the middle with clear water surrounding it. 

"What the-" I looked up and saw that the tree's leaves are covering the entire top of the cave as if it's been here for more than a thousand years as it grew so much. 

I looked around and saw the cat once more and it was jumping from one rock to another to avoid the water and reach the tree. I followed behind it and was hopping from one rock to another but I accidentally slipped and fell into the water. "Fuck!" I screamed as I realized the water was deep and the thought of an animal in the water scared me so I quickly swam to the tree and got to shore. 

"Ugh!" I exclaimed in frustration and looked for the cat. I stood up and tried to dry myself despite knowing this will take a while. I sighed heavily and I furrowed my eyebrows when I saw something peculiar. 

Inside the massive tree, there was some sort of entrance elsewhere. But what was odd, it looked like a portal to another dimension. 

I swear I'm not on crack or anything, this is crazy. Am I dreaming? What the hell is this? 

I stepped closer and closer. The ominous thing in front of me looks like a black hole but it is kept between the frames. It was mesmerizing as if it was pulling me in. It feels as if it's something I've already witnessed before despite not knowing what it was. 

I extended my hand and my eyes widened when it entered the portal. I breathed heavily and I was about to pull my hand out when it suddenly sucked my entire body in. "Help!" I screamed as I tried to get away from it but it was too late. I was completely sucked inside and all I could see was darkness. I felt my consciousness slowly disappear as I started to pass out. 

Before I did, I heard a faint noise from a distance. "The lost deity has returned." 

(An hour later...)

My eyes felt heavy as I tried opening them. I groaned as my body felt like it got hit by a truck. What the hell happened to me? All I remember was... Oh my god! The portal! It sucked me in and I passed out all of a sudden. This can't be... 

I opened my eyes and tried standing up and almost fell back down. My vision was slowly returning and the darkness around was replaced by a very bright light. I blinked a couple of times before I saw trees and grass around me. 

"What the fuck!" I screamed as I blinked profusely and turned 360° as I scanned the place. Did it teleport me elsewhere?! Where the hell am I if I'm not in my neighborhood? 

I covered my mouth as my heart started racing faster by the minute. I looked down and thank god I still have the same clothes on. I scanned my body and luckily, I was unharmed. I sighed before I looked up at the sky. 

"Ah!" I screamed when a massive bird flew by. I haven't seen anything like that! It was twice as big as me, it's almost the size of a helicopter! This can't be... I might be dreaming. 

I hid behind a tree before I held onto my heart. I blinked a couple of times before closing my eyes and slapping myself really hard. "Fuck!" I screamed in pain before I opened my eyes again. I was devastated to see I'm still in the forest. 

I looked up at the sky again and saw that it was becoming dark. Nighttime? but it was just a morning earlier! Did I fall unconscious for more than twelve hours? 

While I was busy thinking about what the hell is going on, the bird has returned. My eyes widened when it landed beside me. I covered my mouth and tried not to scream. The massive bird can easily rip my body apart and its claws and beak are sharp and massive. 

It's staring directly at me and all I can do is freeze on spot. Please don't eat me. 

I breathed heavily and we stared at each other dead in the eyes. I was starting to calm down when it wasn't doing anything but it bolted towards me before I could comprehend anything and its beak opened while trying to get to me. "AHHHH!" I screamed before I started running in the opposite direction. 

It caught my shirt and started lifting me up into the sky. I struggled to get out of its claws but it just won't budge. "Oh my god!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I saw myself being lifted so far from the ground. The bird started flying ahead to a mountain. 

"Please wake me up from this nightmare! I promise I won't do anything bad again!" I screamed once more, begging to get the hell out of this place.

I suddenly slipped and started falling to the ground. "AHHH! HELP!" I screamed but to my surprise, I didn't feel the impact. I opened my eyes and saw that the bird was hooked to my clothes again. I groaned and started bawling my eyes out. I'd rather be dead! 

While I was losing hope, I looked to the ground and saw a man looking up to me. "Help!" I screamed and he only stared at me. 

"HELP ME!" I screamed louder and the bird screeched and I sobbed. 

The bird lowered itself and it almost dropped me again because something hit its back. I looked up and saw a rock fall down to the ground that hit the bird. It shrieks loudly and I can feel its sharp claws pierce my back. 

"FUCK!" I screamed in pain as blood dripped from my back. 

Another massive rock hit the bird again and this time, I started falling. "AHHH!!!" I can't help but just scream at the top of my lungs because of how things are turning out. I'm going to fall and my head will probably split open from the impact! 

My body hit something but it wasn't hard. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. "W-what-" I looked down and saw white fur. My mouth agape as I looked left to right and noticed how it was a massive... wolf?! 

"Oh my god, this is a weird nightmare!" I shouted. I looked up and saw the bird trying to grab me again. I bent down and screamed. My life flashed before my eyes just then. 

I feel like vomiting and passing out. 

I held on to the white wolf for dear life. It's running as fast as it can just to get both of us to safety. I was feeling calmer now that I'm down on the ground but it was quickly replaced with fear. 

The bird wouldn't give up and grabbed my body with its claws and started lifting me up. I held onto the wolf but the bird was too powerful. "HELP ME!" I screamed as I tried getting out of the bird's grasp and the wolf stopped. 

The time was ticking yet it feels like things are slowed down. The wolf stopped in its tracks and growled loudly before positioning itself to jump. It roared before jumping, biting the bird on its leg. It let go of me and I started falling to the ground. Is this the end?
