CHAPTER 9 | ONE TIME CHANCE

We’ve been walking for days now without any direction, or at least with Creed purposely keeping his plan to himself.

It’s silent but not the kind where I wish to disappear. It’s the kind of silence where I find it comfortable. My feet were dragging me, yet the two looked unaffected by the heat. Since they are rogues, they probably have been used to this. The mere sun heating us might feel like just a pinch to our skin. The day is getting warmer, but the night is getting colder than ever.

“Keep staring and you’ll burn Master Creed’s back.”Ravena teased behind me, breaking the silence.

Creed continued walking, and I chuckled at Ravena, not hiding it...

“I am still contemplating if it was a good idea to trust Creed for this.”

Ravena hummed, “Too late for that. You’re in it for real now….and don’t you want us to help

“Help me?” I raised my eyebrows, I mean if that’s alright with your master.”
