Chapter 41

Mortals, humans, were drinking, chatting, and dancing as they cursed the ancient gods and demeaned them.

They were living their life as if they were immortal and will never die. As if a judgment day will never come.

They stopped worshiping the gods; they stopped paying their respects or giving them offerings after all the blessings that the gods showered them with.

The gods gave them a chance to repent, but they kept pushing and pushing even though the merciful lords cared for their children.

Mortals were their creation, after all. They were made in their image, and they were born to worship them but at the same time to be cherished and loved.

It was hard for the gods to punish the wayward children, but it had to be done. In order to follow the right path again, they must learn their lesson.

But one god, Dionysus, was especially furious more than the others. The humans’ king, Creon regent of Thebes, paned worshiping him and rejected his divinity.
