Savage,

“You should have waited for her to wake up and then bring her here. She is new and everything is overwhelming for her, especially after yesterday’s events. Everything really.”

Sawyer said as he stood beside me and watched the almost finished pack house and I gritted my teeth as I glared at him.

“If you are telling me indirectly that I was an asshole to her last night and humiliated her, then I will tell you that this was the tradition of all alphas before me. Losing almost half of my pack doesn’t mean that I will drop all the traditions that uphold our truth. I will run this damn pack the same way as my father and his father before him. This isn’t a happy mating, Sawyer. This is a political one on both sides and you know it.”

I snarled at my friend, making him nod his head silently and we stood staring at what we have achieved so far. There is a lot that needed to be done.

We have gone through a lot and my pack was already drained and exhausted, but we need to stand back again
