Elowen's POV
My ears perked up in my sleep, picking up sounds and I slowly opened my eyes to see a lady in my room, changing the flower by the windows. I groaned, my head aching as I sat up and she faced me, surprised to see me awake. "You're awake, Luna," she smiled warmly at me, making me frown. She looks my age but she had this air around her that told me she wasn't human neither was she a werewolf. If she was, my wolf might have felt a spark of connection to her. "Who are you?" "I'm Hayley, Luna and I'll be your personal maid from now on," she bowed slightly, bubbling with excitement and it made me irritated. I just couldn't understand what was so exciting and why she wouldn't stop smiling. "First of all, can you quit calling me Luna?" I told her and her smile finally dropped. "What should I call you Lu—" "My name is Elowen," I cut her shut, not wanting to hear the name, Luna. "But, Alpha Liam will have my head if he hears me call you that," she replied, looking scared but I totally ignored her, less bothered. "Liam and Ethan," I muttered under my breath, recalling my last moments with them before losing consciousness. I had no idea what the moon goddess was playing at by giving me two mates right after being rejected, losing my father and being betrayed by my pack but I wasn't playing this game with her. I clenched my fist in anger, my heart burning in fury as thoughts of Caden and Raven passed through my head. I lost my baby because of them. I was going to make them pay even if I die trying. "The look in your eyes tells me you plan to kill someone. Care to tell me who is on your hit list?" Ethan asked, relaxing on the doorway. "Alpha Ethan," The maid smiled gleefully, her eyes twinkling in excitement as she ogled him. A growl escaped my lips and she immediately looked away, muttering incoherent words under her lips. Ethan smirked, his eyes dancing in amusement and it made me irritated. I can't believe I just growled at the maid. I'm not even interested in him, I tried convincing myself even though I knew I was lying to myself. I avoided his eyes hating the way he made me feel. "Excuse us Hayley," Ethan said, dismissing her and she bowed slightly before walking away, leaving just us alone in the room. "I didn't take you as the jealous type." I glared at him, my face flushed with embarrassment. "I was not jealous," I denied defensively and he chuckled, walking into the room and shutting the door close behind him. "Fine, let's assume you weren't jealous and I didn't hear you growl to mark your territory, you did look like you were about to kill someone," he drew closer to the bed, settling down on a chair right beside my bed, my body reacting to how close he was. "Yes, I do want to kill someone," I replied, not denying it and his eyes lit up in surprise. I guess he expected me to deny it but I had no reason to, especially when it was the one reason I'm still alive. "Who do you want to kill, pumpkin?" "Elowen," I corrected him. If he heard me, he pretended not to. "Caden, Raven," I muttered under my breath. He simply watched me, not saying anything as I thought of a million ways to give them the most gruesome death ever. They deserved that much after all they've put through. "How about I take you out for a little stroll?" He asked, smiling warmly and I couldn't help but get drawn to his eyes. There was something about his eyes that warmed my heart, gave me assurance, and drew me in. "What do you say, pumpkin?" I didn't want to have anything to do with him or his brother. My presence in their life will only bring them nothing but pain but the bond was too strong for me to turn away from. I want to tell him no, the answer is right on the tip of my lips but I couldn't bring myself to say it. "Pumpkin?" He touched my hair and I jerked back, taken by surprise. "I think I want to be alone," I squabbled, turning him down. He went silent for a while, simply watching me as though trying to read me. His scrutinizing gaze bore holes into my skin and it made me feel exposed before him. "You're right, I should probably let you rest," he smiled, getting up and I released the breath I didn't know I was holding. Without warning, he drew closer to me, placing a kiss on my forehead. I froze in shock, not expecting that. "Get some rest pumpkin," he smiled, walking out of the room and I placed my hand on my chest, my heart beating faster and louder than normal. I shouldn't be feeling any of this. I was a freak and the moment they figured out they'd reject me just like Caden and the pack. Tears filled my eyes as the feeling of loss suddenly watched over me. Caden's words came back to me and as much I hated him and wanted to make him suffer, he was right. I was a monster. A monster that should never have existed in the first place. Because of this, my baby died before she even got to see the world. A laid back on the bed, consumed by grief as tears rolled down my cheeks, wetting my bed. "Luna?" Hayley called from outside but I ignored her, pretending to be fast asleep. The door clicked open and I heard her come in. I immediately shut my eyes as she drew closer. The room fell silent and there was no movement from her. It made me curious. Is she just watching me sleep? I slowly tore my eyes open, meeting her eyes and I immediately shut it close again but she already caught me. "Luna," she called. "Go away," I said, my voice gruff from crying. "Would you like to eat something?" She asked, reminding me that I haven't fed but I ignored her, deciding not to answer. I wasn't going to drink blood no matter how hungry I was. "Alpha Liam said I should make sure you get something to eat," she persisted, refusing to take the hint that I wanted to be alone. "He said I should tell you that if you refuse to feed, he'll be forced to punish me for not doing my work." I suddenly sat up, facing her. "He'll punish you?" I frowned and she nodded. The lifeless eyes of that maid flashed through my head, Liam holding her dead body in his hands like her life meant nothing. I knew he wasn't bluffing if he really threatened to punish Hayley if I don't feed. "Where is Liam?" I asked. "He stepped out a while ago. He has business to attend to with his brother," she replied. I fell into deep thoughts, considering my options. It's either I fed or risk him killing Hayley again. I didn't know her and I shouldn't care what happens to her but the thought of her dying because of me didn't sit well with me. I also wasn't willing to feed from anyone and risk killing them either. "We have blood bags if you would rather not feed on a human," Hayley said, seeing the conflicted look on my face. "There are blood bags?" I asked, surprised. "Yes, there are. But I don't think Alpha Liam will be happy to know you chose to drink from a blood bag instead of drinking directly from the vein." "I can't drink directly from the vein," I said bluntly and she nodded, totally understanding me. "I'll go get the blood bag," she said, exiting the room. I pushed my hair backwards, frustrated. I couldn't stay here a second longer. I can't let myself fall for the twin brothers and abandon my revenge. I also can't risk loving them and getting my heart broken again. I got up from the bed and stepped out of the room, frowning the moment I got out. There were two guards standing at the entrance of my room, they were both vampires. I could also sense vampires around the entire house. How was I supposed to escape with this many vampires crawling around the entire house? I walked around the house, totally awed by the grandeur of the house. It was huge and it screamed money. Not looking at where I was going, I bumped into someone, pushing her to the floor. "Oh my goddess, I'm so sorry," I immediately apologized, regaining my stamina as I offered her a hand. She hit my hand away rudely, getting up herself. She eyed me eerily, her facial expression not welcoming. "And who would you be?" She asked, glaring at me. "I'm Elowen, who are you," I replied, equally curious. "Merlin," she flipped her hair arrogantly in my face, acting all cocky. "I'm Liam's mate, his Luna!" She added, stunning me. "You're what?"Elowen's POVWalking into the principal Denver's office felt like walking into a slaughter house.Besides Denver, I wasn't familiar with the numerous faces in the room but they all looked ready to have my head. "Don't just stand there, Elowen, take a seat," Denver said, equally not smiling but at least his face was less scary than the others. I cautiously took a seat placed in the middle of the council elders, gulping loudly in fear. I hate this! "Why aren't Liam and Ethan here already? Didn't they get the council summons?" One of the council elders scowled, looking displeased by the absence of Liam and Ethan. I really do wish they were here already. "Cool your pants old man, we're just 5 minutes late," Liam said boredly, walking into the room with Ethan by his side. My eyes met with his and he winked at me. My heart skipped several beats as my dream slowly came back to me. I immediately looked away, my cheeks heated in a blush. "That's no way to talk to an Elder, Liam," Denver f
Elowen's POV I moaned in pleasure every cell in my body coming alive. "Liam," I bit my lips, throwing my head back in ecstasy as he sucked hard on my nipples, fondling the other with his hand. I could feel my orgasm building up like a hurricane, every single cell and vein in my body reacting to the mere graze of his fingers. "Fuck!" I cussed, my orgasm hitting me as I came fast and hard in his hold, panting heavily. While Ethan relaxed on the bed, watching us with a burning intense gaze in his eyes. I bit my lips, feeling turned on again with him watching me and his eyes darkened, the glass cup in his hands, shattering to pieces as his grip tightened around it. How can both men be so sinfully hot and tempting all at once. "My turn," Ethan pushed Liam aside eagerly, taking over while Liam glared at the back of his head furiously, making me chuckle. "Can't I have you both at once?" I pouted, blinking my eyes cutely. "You sure you'll be able to handle us both all at once, kitten?
Elowen's POV "It's fine now." But was it really? I didn't know what to feel or how to react to everything that just happened. Besides Riley constantly telling me that I was fine, the only thing ringing in my ears was the fact that I was weak. Merlin would never have been able to compel me if I was strong enough to fight off her compulsion. Trent and the others wouldn't be dead if I was stronger to fight them off rather than let them walk all over me. Everything that has happened so far is because I'm weak. My dad is dead because I'm weak, my baby is dead because I wasn't strong enough to protect her. Harley is also dead because I was too weak to escape on my own and needed help. I'm weak and it keeps causing everyone around me to die. Of what use is this curse of being a hybrid if I'm not strong enough to do anything myself? "Elowen!" Riley yelled, and I faced her, my eyes glistened with unshed tears. "Come here," she pulled me into a hug, patting me on the back wh
Ethan's POV "It's always nice discussing business with your Ethan," Alpha Jerry smiled, stretching his hands for a handshake and I smiled. "The pleasure is mine," I took his hands, returning the handshake. "How about you stay around the pack a little while. My wife is making dinner and she is making something really special since you're here. We'll be honored to have you join us," he offered and I nodded. "Well I can't say no to a good meal now, can I?" I grinned and he chuckled. Adrian suddenly showed up, a gloomy look on his face and I frowned. Ignoring my discussion with Jerry he closed the gap between us, whispering something into my ears. The air around me suddenly changed and Alpha Jerry felt it. "Is anything wrong, Ethan?" He asked, looking concerned. I smiled tight-lipped, getting up from my seat. "I'm afraid I'll have to cut our little meeting short, Alpha Jerry. There's something I need to attend to." "Alright, I'll just let my wife know," he replied, smil
Liam's POV "He's so hot." "Sweet goddess, look at those beautiful abs." "How can a man be this hot?" I grinned, slamming the ball into the net, ending the basketball game as the whistle went off with the crowd cheering loudly. Well, technically it's just the girls screaming, trying to get me to notice them. "Liam!!" The girls cheered loudly, trying to touch me but one look from me kept them all away. So they simply stood aside, fucking me with their eyes while yelling their voices out. If only Elowen was here to see how easy it was for me to make girls scream. I couldn't help but think about how loud she'd be able to scream my name when I banged her. I bit my lips, feeling instantly hard. "Fuck!" Not thinking about her was so hard but trying to pretend she didn't have a single effect on me was harder. Those eyes of hers that only seemed to glare at me, fucked with me in a million ways than one. I hated the fact that she makes me feel this way but what I hated more is ho
Elowen's POVI'm royally fucked.Laying down on the bed to catch a little sleep for just 10 minutes was the worst decision ever. I made it to the front of the class, panting heavily. I'm 30 minutes late all thanks to Liam.I wish my life didn't have to involve him. A life without him would be so much better. I stood in front of the class thinking of the best possible excuse to give Imelda because I know there's no way I'm getting out of this easily. "You know what, fuck this!" I walked into the classroom and regretted my decision soon after when her predatory eyes landed on me. "I think I'm in the wrong class. I'll just take my leave," I smiled awkwardly, turning around to leave. "Where do you think you're going, Elowen?" She asked coldly, making me pause in my tracks and I gulped loudly. What the hell was I thinking walking into the class without a plan? There's no way I'm getting out of this now."You're 30 minutes late," she said, stating the obvious. I shut the door behind me,
