LOGINElowen's POV
My ears perked up in my sleep, picking up sounds and I slowly opened my eyes to see a lady in my room, changing the flower by the windows. I groaned, my head aching as I sat up and she faced me, surprised to see me awake. "You're awake, Luna," she smiled warmly at me, making me frown. She looks my age but she had this air around her that told me she wasn't human neither was she a werewolf. If she was, my wolf might have felt a spark of connection to her. "Who are you?" "I'm Hayley, Luna and I'll be your personal maid from now on," she bowed slightly, bubbling with excitement and it made me irritated. I just couldn't understand what was so exciting and why she wouldn't stop smiling. "First of all, can you quit calling me Luna?" I told her and her smile finally dropped. "What should I call you Lu—" "My name is Elowen," I cut her shut, not wanting to hear the name, Luna. "But, Alpha Liam will have my head if he hears me call you that," she replied, looking scared but I totally ignored her, less bothered. "Liam and Ethan," I muttered under my breath, recalling my last moments with them before losing consciousness. I had no idea what the moon goddess was playing at by giving me two mates right after being rejected, losing my father and being betrayed by my pack but I wasn't playing this game with her. I clenched my fist in anger, my heart burning in fury as thoughts of Caden and Raven passed through my head. I lost my baby because of them. I was going to make them pay even if I die trying. "The look in your eyes tells me you plan to kill someone. Care to tell me who is on your hit list?" Ethan asked, relaxing on the doorway. "Alpha Ethan," The maid smiled gleefully, her eyes twinkling in excitement as she ogled him. A growl escaped my lips and she immediately looked away, muttering incoherent words under her lips. Ethan smirked, his eyes dancing in amusement and it made me irritated. I can't believe I just growled at the maid. I'm not even interested in him, I tried convincing myself even though I knew I was lying to myself. I avoided his eyes hating the way he made me feel. "Excuse us Hayley," Ethan said, dismissing her and she bowed slightly before walking away, leaving just us alone in the room. "I didn't take you as the jealous type." I glared at him, my face flushed with embarrassment. "I was not jealous," I denied defensively and he chuckled, walking into the room and shutting the door close behind him. "Fine, let's assume you weren't jealous and I didn't hear you growl to mark your territory, you did look like you were about to kill someone," he drew closer to the bed, settling down on a chair right beside my bed, my body reacting to how close he was. "Yes, I do want to kill someone," I replied, not denying it and his eyes lit up in surprise. I guess he expected me to deny it but I had no reason to, especially when it was the one reason I'm still alive. "Who do you want to kill, pumpkin?" "Elowen," I corrected him. If he heard me, he pretended not to. "Caden, Raven," I muttered under my breath. He simply watched me, not saying anything as I thought of a million ways to give them the most gruesome death ever. They deserved that much after all they've put through. "How about I take you out for a little stroll?" He asked, smiling warmly and I couldn't help but get drawn to his eyes. There was something about his eyes that warmed my heart, gave me assurance, and drew me in. "What do you say, pumpkin?" I didn't want to have anything to do with him or his brother. My presence in their life will only bring them nothing but pain but the bond was too strong for me to turn away from. I want to tell him no, the answer is right on the tip of my lips but I couldn't bring myself to say it. "Pumpkin?" He touched my hair and I jerked back, taken by surprise. "I think I want to be alone," I squabbled, turning him down. He went silent for a while, simply watching me as though trying to read me. His scrutinizing gaze bore holes into my skin and it made me feel exposed before him. "You're right, I should probably let you rest," he smiled, getting up and I released the breath I didn't know I was holding. Without warning, he drew closer to me, placing a kiss on my forehead. I froze in shock, not expecting that. "Get some rest pumpkin," he smiled, walking out of the room and I placed my hand on my chest, my heart beating faster and louder than normal. I shouldn't be feeling any of this. I was a freak and the moment they figured out they'd reject me just like Caden and the pack. Tears filled my eyes as the feeling of loss suddenly watched over me. Caden's words came back to me and as much I hated him and wanted to make him suffer, he was right. I was a monster. A monster that should never have existed in the first place. Because of this, my baby died before she even got to see the world. A laid back on the bed, consumed by grief as tears rolled down my cheeks, wetting my bed. "Luna?" Hayley called from outside but I ignored her, pretending to be fast asleep. The door clicked open and I heard her come in. I immediately shut my eyes as she drew closer. The room fell silent and there was no movement from her. It made me curious. Is she just watching me sleep? I slowly tore my eyes open, meeting her eyes and I immediately shut it close again but she already caught me. "Luna," she called. "Go away," I said, my voice gruff from crying. "Would you like to eat something?" She asked, reminding me that I haven't fed but I ignored her, deciding not to answer. I wasn't going to drink blood no matter how hungry I was. "Alpha Liam said I should make sure you get something to eat," she persisted, refusing to take the hint that I wanted to be alone. "He said I should tell you that if you refuse to feed, he'll be forced to punish me for not doing my work." I suddenly sat up, facing her. "He'll punish you?" I frowned and she nodded. The lifeless eyes of that maid flashed through my head, Liam holding her dead body in his hands like her life meant nothing. I knew he wasn't bluffing if he really threatened to punish Hayley if I don't feed. "Where is Liam?" I asked. "He stepped out a while ago. He has business to attend to with his brother," she replied. I fell into deep thoughts, considering my options. It's either I fed or risk him killing Hayley again. I didn't know her and I shouldn't care what happens to her but the thought of her dying because of me didn't sit well with me. I also wasn't willing to feed from anyone and risk killing them either. "We have blood bags if you would rather not feed on a human," Hayley said, seeing the conflicted look on my face. "There are blood bags?" I asked, surprised. "Yes, there are. But I don't think Alpha Liam will be happy to know you chose to drink from a blood bag instead of drinking directly from the vein." "I can't drink directly from the vein," I said bluntly and she nodded, totally understanding me. "I'll go get the blood bag," she said, exiting the room. I pushed my hair backwards, frustrated. I couldn't stay here a second longer. I can't let myself fall for the twin brothers and abandon my revenge. I also can't risk loving them and getting my heart broken again. I got up from the bed and stepped out of the room, frowning the moment I got out. There were two guards standing at the entrance of my room, they were both vampires. I could also sense vampires around the entire house. How was I supposed to escape with this many vampires crawling around the entire house? I walked around the house, totally awed by the grandeur of the house. It was huge and it screamed money. Not looking at where I was going, I bumped into someone, pushing her to the floor. "Oh my goddess, I'm so sorry," I immediately apologized, regaining my stamina as I offered her a hand. She hit my hand away rudely, getting up herself. She eyed me eerily, her facial expression not welcoming. "And who would you be?" She asked, glaring at me. "I'm Elowen, who are you," I replied, equally curious. "Merlin," she flipped her hair arrogantly in my face, acting all cocky. "I'm Liam's mate, his Luna!" She added, stunning me. "You're what?"ELOWEN "Unless you have plans on infuriating Principal Denver further by missing classes, you better wake up and prepare for your classes." Riley shook me awake, her perky little voice interrupting my beauty sleep. "Leave me alone, Riley," I huffed in annoyance, covering my head with my duvet as I tried to go back to sleep. "Besides getting on Principal Denver's bad side, there's also the issue of Imelda. She won't tolerate you missing classes and I'm sure the last thing you want is her storming into your dorm and ruining your day," Riley added, moving around the room noisily as she tried to get ready for classes.I finally tore my eyes open, flinging the duvet away and wincing in pain. After yesterday's drink with Riley, I think I'm going to die. I wonder how she is so unaffected right now when she drank far more than I did."You should be having hangover from yesterday's drink. Here take this." She pushed a hot bowl of porridge into my hands, surprising me. "After emptying the b
ELOWENI glared at Liam, unable to help it. The air between us was charged and electrifying. I'm sure anyone could feel it a mile away. While I couldn't help but glare at him the entire time, he kept himself pretty occupied by playing with my panties.I didn't know how to react to that. I didn't even know what I should direct my anger and irritation to right now.Should I be pissed that he is threatening my roommate and friend right in my room or the fact that he his blatantly ignoring me? There's also the situation of him playing with my panties like it's a natural thing. "I think I should excuse myself," Riley cleared her throat, grabbing her headset and I simply nodded, not stopping her from leaving. She left but nothing changed. My rage was slowly building up and Liam? He's still fucking playing around with my panties."Give me that!" I snatched it from his hand, scowling and he finally looked up to meet my eyes, frowning."What's got your pants in a twist, kitten?" He furrowe
Liam's POVMy bone cracked under Ethan's grip. His eyes are cold, calculating and ready to go for the kill. I could make one quick move and kill Adrian in one breath before he reacted but I already saw everything play out in my head. Fooling Ethan won't be so easy. He knew me better than anyone else and would be expecting me to attack. I'm certain the asshole knew exactly where I would attack first."What makes you think I won't kill him the next second I get?" I asked, snatching my wrist from his grip."You kill him and you have me to answer to, Liam," Ethan simply replied, leveling his glare with mine, his eyes a different shade. I frowned, backing down. That isn't Ethan talking. He allowed the bastard fucking take over. Unlike Ethan, Ian would never hold back from killing me. I saw the dangerous glint in his eyes, one I always saw when Ian took over the body. If I had my chance I would kill the bastard by now and I'm sure he'll do the same because we both despise each other. We
Imelda's POVAfter hanging around a bit longer in Riley and Elowen's room, Adrian and I both decided to leave. Someone had to check up on those two before they both destroyed themselves.Adrian and I walked together in silence. The air was heavy between us and there were words I believed we both wanted to say but no one was willing to go first. He was still mortified about what Elowen is and how she has managed to save Merlin. Although he tried to act cool about it, I could see it in his eyes. Reading people was my specialty no matter how much they tried to hide their true emotions. The harder they try to hide their emotions the more easy they make it for me to be able to read them."You know it's not her fault that she is what she is right?" I asked, breaking the silence. He glanced briefly at me before looking away. "It might not be her fault but it won't change the fact that everyone will see her as a monster," he replied, muttering under his breath, a silent worry in his voice.
Elowen's POV"I can explain," I repeated, Adrian and Riley still gawking at me wide eyed while Merlin just watched us weakly, looking confused. "Merlin!" Elder Zayn yelled, barging into the room. "Dad," Merlin muttered weakly. Zayn paused in his tracks, his eyes glistening in tears as he saw her awake and the bite mark gone. "My baby," he rushed to her side, pulling her into his arms as they both cried in each other's embrace."We should go now!" Imelda muttered to me and I nodded at Adrian who did not bother arguing and simply went along. Seeing the vampire guards filtering into the room, I guess he could tell leaving while we still can was the best thing to do right now. While daughter and father cried their eyes out, we silently slipped out of the room, careful not to draw attention to ourselves. We almost made it out of the house when two vampire guards suddenly blocked our paths, their faces not friendly. "Uhmm, excuse me, we need to leave," Imelda frowned, stepping forward
Elowen's POV"Why Czech bloodline?" I frowned, locking eyes with Selene. She went silent for a while before tilting her head to the side. "Because their blood has the best healing property that no other bloodline has. You could say they are special," she smiled. Adrian face palmed himself, looking so frustrated while I kept staring at Selene, her face unreadable but her eyes full of hidden things. "We should probably get going," Imelda frowned, glancing at the time. "We need to find whatever Czech bloodline is left.""You don't get it, do you?" Adrian frowned, facing her. "There's no Czech bloodline and there has not been any since after that time.""What time?" Riley asked, gawking at Adrian curiously."Dark times you'd be better off not hearing about," Adrian's eyes darkened but then he went silent not saying anything further. Everyone finally fell silent, lost in their own thoughts."There's someone right?" I asked, grabbing their attention. "What do you mean, child?" Selene smi
