Elowen's POV
I rolled on my side, unable to shut Merlin's giggling out of my head. It's been two days since Liam kissed her in front of me and they've done nothing but made my life miserable these last two days. I requested a change of room but even at that, they were so loud that my ears picked up every single sound coming from their room. Every morning, I wake up to loud moans and I go to sleep hearing loud moans. It felt like they were both intentionally trying to make my life miserable and although, I hated to admit, they were doing a very good job at that. "Arghhhh!!!" I screamed into my pillow, venting all my anger out but it still wasn't enough to calm me down. I hate this! I hate this place! I hate this pathetic feeling I can't seem to get rid of! "Luna, would you like to get some fresh air?" Hayley asked calmly, standing not too far from me. I raised my head, facing her. "This fresh air, am I getting it far away from this building or vicinity?" I asked and her face fell. She could not give me a reply because we both know the answer. "He won't let me leave and yet he keeps disrespecting me," I shook my head, chuckling darkly. Once I kill Caden and Raven, I'll kill Liam and Ethan next so I don't have to feel this way anymore. Escaping this place has proven to be harder than I anticipated. Liam had every single place blocked with guards. There was no way I could easily slip past them without their knowledge. It felt like I was being caged. I only had the luxury of seeing Ethan everyday but I made sure to avoid him as much as I could. I can't have any attachment with him or Liam, not when I don't plan to stay. "Any idea when Ethan is coming to see me again?" I asked Hayley, facing her. "I think he has caught on with the fact that you're avoiding him. So rather than make his presence known he just pops out of the blues to catch you unawares so that you won't be able to hide from him," she replied, smiling. I huffed in annoyance, finding him annoying. He should take the hint and leave me alone! A maid stepped into the room with fresh flowers, to change the withered flowers in my room and I gulped loudly, drawn to her blood. She was human. "Good after—" "Get out!" I cut her short, my eyes darkening. She quivered in fear, looking terrified. "I said get out!' I growled, almost lunging at her neck but I was able to hold myself back. She immediately rushed out of the room and I was slowly able to calm down, putting myself together. "Can they stop coming to my room?" I asked, frowning and Hayley shook her head negatively. "It's all part of Alpha Liam's ploy to get you to drink directly from the vein. So today won't be the last time a human will step into your room. It's either you learn how not to drink from them or you drink from them," Hayley explained and Merlin's giggle rang out through the entire building as though she was mocking me. He was trying to mess with me! "I need a drink," I got up from the bed, heading towards the fridge in the kitchen. "Would you like me to come with you?" She asked, standing behind me. "I'm fine. Occupy yourself with something else." I left the room, leaving her behind and moved with the speed of light, getting to the fridge. I grabbed a blood bag and emptied it, a refreshing feeling washing over me. I felt tempted to grab another bag but I was able to resist, shutting the door and leaving before I felt tempted to grab another blood bag. "I see you're learning to control your hunger, Elizabeth," Merlin smirked devilishly, blocking my path. "What do you want? I thought Liam had you occupied?" I asked, frowning. "Well," she circled me, playing with my hair and I stood rigid in one spot, not making an attempt to stop her. "I had to create time for my new best friend." "Best friend," I chuckled darkly, the name bringing back memories. "My former best friend is a lying, conniving bitch, she went after what's mine and you're doing exactly the same thing. Liam isn't yours and once he is done playing around with you he'll come crawling back to me leaving—" she slapped me hard across the face, cutting me short and sending me flying backwards. I tasted blood on my lips before it healed up. She was strong, way too strong and I stood no chance against her but telling her all that was oddly satisfying. "What? Can't talk now?" She suddenly got in front of me, kicking me in the face. I chuckled, wiping the blood off my face and it made her furious. She grabbed my hair aggressively, pulling me up. "What's so funny bitch?" She glared at me, seething in anger. "You are," I replied, smiling even though my scalp was screaming out in pain from the way she was pulling my hair. "The moon goddess didn't consider you a perfect match for Liam and she didn't even think twice before making me his mate," her face darkened in fury, her real nature appearing but I wasn't done yet. "Guess what? She didn't only make me Liam's mate, she made me Ethan's mate as well and left you with nothing. Tell me, how does that make you feel? Great, right?" I smiled, pushing her buttons the more. "I'm going to kill you, Elowen," she growled, her eyes totally dark with rage but that was not the interesting part, she finally got my name right and somehow, it made me feel good. I closed my eyes, expecting a beating. "What do you think you're doing, Merlin?" Ethan's voice reverberated around the room, making her pause in her assault. I slowly opened my eyes to see him standing not too far away, looking as though he was ready to kill someone. His bloodlust overwhelmed that of Merlin's and it made her feel crushed. "We were just having girls talk, right Elowen?" She asked, facing me, calling my name right for yet the second time today. "Let her go!" Ethan growled threateningly, seeing her hands on my hair and she immediately released it, taking a step back as Ethan took a step forward towards me. "Before I change my mind and decide to kill you, get lost this instant, Merlin!" Not waiting to be told twice, Merlin zoomed past him. The moment she left, he slowly calmed down and I watched him, amused. "I didn't need saving," I got up from the floor, avoiding his eyes and he glared at me. "Were you seriously going to sit back and let her hit you?" He asked, looking furious. "I'm returning back to my cage," I drawled and made to walk past him but he grabbed my arm, drawing me back and pushing me against the wall. "Don't ignore me when I'm talking to you, Elowen, don't," he growled, his eyes turning red for a few seconds before returning back to his normal amber eyes. That had to be his wolf. "Let me go, Ethan," I struggled to break free, my body reacting badly to how close he was to me. "And what? You're going to run off to your room and avoid me for the rest of the day again?" He drew dangerously closer to me, "Not happening pumpkin," he whispered in my ears and I felt chills run down my spine. I gulped, loudly, feeling my insides twist. He bit my ear seductively and a moan escaped my lips. "That's it, pumpkin, you want me as much as I want you. You can stop trying to fight it." I fucking hate that he was right. My entire body is on fire and it's all because of him. Liam is torturing me in his own way and he is torturing me in a different way. "Why can't you just ignore me like Liam?" I whispered. "I'm hurt sweetheart that you actually think I'm ignoring you," Liam smirked, appearing out of the shadows. He drew closer to us, twirling my hair around his fingers and I really felt like I was going to die. My body was brimming hot with heat. Being this close to two hot guys, my body didn't feel like mine anymore. It felt like it had a mind of its own. "Ethan said not to scare you and I decided to do just that. If I got too close I might have ripped out the throat of another human," he dragged his fingers down my throat and I froze, my breath hitched. "Drain her dry and kiss you, giving you a taste of what fresh blood tastes like," he added, smirking devilishly and I gulped, oddly liking the sound of that no matter how sick it sounds. "We agreed you'll let her make her own choice!" Ethan scowled, facing Liam, their attention temporarily deviating from me and I finally released my breath. "I'm not forcing anything on her, brother, I'm just reminding her how much I love her," Liam replied. "How much you love her and yet you still mess around with that thing?" Ethan glared at him, referring to Merlin. "I can't miss a free meal, can I?" Liam shrugged, less bothered. Ok, I really had to leave. I snuck out from their sight, returning to my room and I immediately shut the door behind me, locking it. I rushed to the wardrobe, throwing it open and I smiled when I saw it. My one time ticket to escape.Elowen's POV My stomach grumbles loudly, making me frown. I wrapped my hands around my stomach, looking around to be sure no one heard that. Luckily enough for me there were only a few people in class and they were occupied in their various conversations totally ignoring me. My stomach grumbled again reminding me of the fact that I needed to eat. I'm beginning to regret refusing to eat before leaving Liam's house. I probably won't be this hungry if I did. Even if I wanted to get something to eat now I didn't have any money to buy anything and I don't know anyone willing to talk to me or lend me some money. After Riley came back to life I might have snapped her neck again to be sure it was all real. Adrian had to take her away and keep her hidden for the meantime from Liam and Merlin until she came back to life again. So, I'm left with no one but myself and my grumbling stomach."Elowen," Merlin called, smiling gleefully and my mood turned sour by just seeing her face. I seriously w
Elowen's POV For a second I might have forgotten that my life now revolves around the Alpha brothers. Although, I might have taken the closest flight out of Liam's house but not out of his world which would explain why he was standing before us looking so hot yet dangerous. "Liam?" Merlin called, equally surprised to see him."What are you doing here?""I'm doing the questioning here, Merlin and I remember asking a question. Do I have to repeat myself?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows at us."I'm just surprised to see you in school after all this time. I thought you were—" the remaining words froze in her throat when she saw the scary look on Liam's face."Nothing serious is happening, Liam. I was just showing Elowen around the school and giving her a little welcome to our school," she replied, smiling tight-lipped."Right Elowen?" She placed her hands on her shoulders, smiling at me like a creep with her friends whil
Elowen's POV Whatever courage I had a few minutes ago to introduce myself to the entire class was now non-existent.I sat on an empty seat behind the class, wishing I could just become invisible. Maybe then I won't have to tolerate the hateful and curious look I was getting from everyone. The teacher went about her work, teaching us chemistry. I really didn't understand how any of this was to be of any use to me. Not only were there vampires and werewolves in the school, there were also humans mixed in amongst us.I was curious. Was it possible that they were oblivious to the vampires and werewolves surrounding them or are they aware of their presence but then chose to remain quiet? If it was the latter then they were stupid to think they would ever be safe around vampires plus they were clearly outnumbered."Miss Amelia will be upset if she finds out you're not taking any notes in her class," a girl seating beside me whispered
Elowen's POV I sat still in the Principal's office, looking around as I waited to be attended to. It's been almost an hour since I got here and still no one has bothered to attend to me. It's either they are not aware of my presence or they chose just not to pay me any heed. I'm thinking it's the latter because I met the secretary on my way in and she told me to wait in the Principal's office, he'll join me soon. I sighed in frustration, relaxing my back as I closed my eyes. It's my first day in school and I'm already this frustrated. Who knows what else lies ahead, waiting for me.Liam snuck into my thoughts and I couldn't help but frown. It's my first day of school and he didn't even bother to bid me goodbye, or wish me a nice day. He simply vanished from the house, no one having an idea of where to find him or an inkling of where he went."Not like I care anyways about him," I muttered under my breath. "Liar," my conscience sneered at me, making me frown. Even my conscience isn
Elowen's POVI glared at my reflection in the mirror, frowning. I looked strange in a school uniform. I never had to attend school when Caden was my mate. Raven, Caden and I had private tutors that taught us all we needed to know. I've always wanted to go to school with the other students and experience real school life but I never did. I should be happy to be getting my wish now but I didn't want it to be this way. I felt pathetic.I keep losing people around me and yet I'm expected to live like my life is not so messed up. Maybe I'm cursed never to have anyone stick too close. It's either they betray me or they die just like Hayley and my dad.I smiled sadly, knotting my tie. A tear slipped from my eyes as my mind went to my dad.I missed him. Since it was just us, I always knotted his tie and made sure he looked presentable. It still feels surreal but he's really gone. "Luna," someone called, startling me. I glanced back to see a maid, standing beside my packed bags. I wonder
Ethan's POV "Are you just going to keep standing there giving me that judging look?" I sighed, turning to face Adrian, my beta. After introducing Elowen as our mate and a new student of our school, he's been silent which is odd for someone as chatty as Adrian. "What else am I to do, Ethan? I'm flabbergasted by your actions. What were you thinking, introducing her to everyone like that?" Adrian asked, frowning and I shrugged, nonchalant. "The timing felt right and we both know it's not something we can hide forever. Sooner or later word will get out and either way everyone will still get to know about her." He gawked at me in disbelief, speechless. As dissatisfying as it must be to reveal Elowen to danger, it was quite satisfying to claim her as mine in the presence of everyone. The look on her face when I did made me smile. "Were you also serious about her joining the school?" Adrian asked, gaining his voi
