Fay's POV

Time passed strangely inside Alpha Kael's estate. The days blurred together, mornings were spent cleaning, serving, and avoiding trouble.

The evenings were filled with whispers, secrets, and stolen moments and somewhere in the middle of all that, I fell hopelessly in love with Rio.

Looking back now, I should have known better. Everyone in the estate had stories about him.

Some good, some bad, most dangerous but every time I was with him, those stories became harder to believe.

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Another Trap

Liora's POVI stared at Sabrina without backing away. My heart was pounding against my ribs, but I refused to let her see how nervous I felt.Sabrina looked furious. Her eyes burned with hostility as she stood several feet away from me. Everything about her posture screamed anger."You've got some nerve," she snapped.I folded my arms."Right back at you" I replied, her eyes still glaring at her.She pointed at me accusingly."You think you're better than everyone. That's exactly the problem!" She said.I blinked."What are you talking about? You literally just threw my life in my face and you thought I'll just be quiet, really?" I asked.Sabrina laughed bitterly but the sound wasn't pleasant."Of course you would act like a wounded dog" she shot at me.Beside me, Fay stepped closer. Her expression had become guarded."What is your problem?" Fay asked sharply.Sabrina immediately turned her attention toward her."My problem is that ever since she was saved by Amarok, things have been

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Second Stage

Amarok's POVI sat behind the large wooden desk inside my study, staring out the window toward the dark forest beyond the property.Rain clouds hung low across the sky and the evening air carried the scent of wetness. A knock sounded against the door but I didn't need to ask who it was."Come in."The door opened immediately and my right-hand wolf entered.Cassian was the only wolf in my circle willing to tell me when he thought I was being an idiot which happened more often than most people realized. He closed the door behind him and his eyes immediately settled on me then he sighed.I already knew that look. He disagreed with something."What?" I asked.Cassian folded his arms."I've spent the last hour trying to understand what happened" he said.I leaned back in my chair."And?""And I still think you're making a mistake" he replied. A smile tugged at my lips then I gestured toward the chair opposite me."Sit down."He sat down reluctantly. The look on his face said he expected

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Sharp Crack

Liora's POVI hadn't expected Sabrina to dislike me this much. Actually, dislike was too mild a word. The woman looked at me as if I had personally ruined her life.Fay and I exchanged a brief glance as we followed her through the large compound Amarok had brought us to.The place itself was beautiful but Sabrina's attitude was quickly ruining any chance I had of appreciating the surroundings."You walk too slowly" she complained. I blinked. The comment had come completely out of nowhere. Sabrina didn't even look back as she continued walking.Fay frowned."We're literally right behind you" she said.Sabrina shrugged."Then walk faster."I stared at the back of her head. Fay looked equally annoyed. Was she serious? We had barely arrived and this woman had already found a hundred ways to irritate us.I tried not to make it a problem. After everything that had happened today, I didn't have the energy. The last thing I wanted was to start arguing with one of Amarok's people. Unfortunat

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   A Growing Problem

Alpha Kael's POVI was halfway down the main corridor before I realized I was walking far faster than usual. The servants pressed themselves against the walls as I passed and guards immediately straightened.Nobody wanted to be the person who got in my way tonight, not after everything that had happened and certainly not after discovering she had somehow disappeared from her room again. My jaw tightened, the sound of my boots striking the polished marble floor echoed through the hallway.Behind me, several guards struggled to keep pace."Alpha," one of them called but I didn't slow down."Speak" I ordered. "We've already searching but lady Liora is still nowhere to be found" he said.I turned sharply the guard."Take twenty men and find her" I instructed. "Twenty?""Did I stutter?""No, Alpha" he said as he shook his head."If Amarok is still on my property, I want him brought to me."The guard swallowed."Alive, Alpha?"I stopped walking and the entire hallway became silent. Slowl

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   A Cold Welcome

Liora's POVThe forest seemed endless.Dark branches stretched overhead, weaving together to create a canopy that blocked most of the moonlight. The narrow trail beneath our feet looked like something that wasn't meant to be found by ordinary people. And yet Amarok's wolves moved through it with complete confidence as if they had traveled this route a hundred times before.Maybe they had.Fay walked close beside me, enough that our shoulders occasionally brushed. Neither of us wanted to admit how nervous we were but it was obvious. We had just escaped one dangerous situation and stepped directly into another. The only difference was that this danger smiled more often.I glanced ahead.Amarok was walking several steps in front of us, his broad shoulders looked relaxed, as though he wasn't worried about Alpha Kael discovering I had disappeared. The secret path opened into a small clearing and waiting there were several black vehicles. My steps slowed and Amarok noticed immediately. A gr

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Broken Moment

Alpha Kael’s POVThe silence after Rio had spoken was the kind that didn’t feel like peace.I stayed standing in the dining hall longer than necessary, my gaze fixed on the empty space Amarok had occupied moments ago.Behind me, I could hear movement of chairs shifting, servants trying to return to normal duties, guards whispering low commands. The estate was already trying to recover but I wasn’t interested in recovery. I was interested in resolution.Rio stood a few steps behind me and I could feel his presence more than hear it.“This never should’ve happened,” Rio said again, his voice tighter now.I didn’t turn immediately.“I’ve already heard you,” I replied flatly.“I’m serious,” he continued. “Amarok being here—”“Is done,” I cut in.There was a pause then Rio exhaled but I could tell he wasn’t satisfied.Elena stepped forward slightly, her tone carefully controlled.“At least the situation is over now" she said.Ruby nodded.“Exactly. He’s gone. No need to keep tension alive.

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   My Possession

Alpha Kael’s POVThe moment I heard Liora scream my name, something inside me snapped.Pure rage tore through my chest as I stormed away from the window and down the hallway with enough force to make the guards and servants scatter from my path immediately. My boots struck the marble floors violent

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   The Wrong Hands

Rio’s POVA grin pulled at my lips as I adjusted the cuffs of my black shirt and strolled lazily through the western corridor, completely ignoring the nervous guards bowing as I passed them.My footsteps slowed slightly as three familiar scents drifted toward me.I looked up just in time to see Ele

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   The Council Returned

Alpha Kael’s POVI walked through the northern corridor with long strides, the polished black floors reflecting the faint light pouring through the towering windows beside us. My boots echoed sharply with every step.Behind me, my chief guard struggled to keep pace while reading from the tablet in

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Moving Closer

Rio’s POVThe entire hallway smelled like blood, even after the body had been dragged away and the servants had rushed to scrub the marble floors clean. The scent still lingered faintly in the air, sharp and metallic beneath the expensive perfumes drifting through the estate.I hated this. Not the
