14. All Of A Sudden

Amelia’s POV

It was raining heavily when I tried to catch a ride back home, after school was over. I was worried as to how I should go back home.

I was waiting near a grocery store so that I wouldn't get too wet. Just then I saw a man with black leather jacket riding towards me on a motorbike. I immediately grew wary about my surroundings as I tried to plan my escape if he tried to harm me.

But instead of attacking me with full speed, the bike stopped right before it could hit me. I jumped a little, startled by the proximity. The man’s head was covered with a helmet so I couldn’t see who it was.

I walked away from the bike and stood at another spot to cover myself from the rain. The biker came at me again, the sound of the motor growling reaching my ears. I was ready to make a run, but then he took off his helmet and I was surprised to see it was actually Zane.

I breathed out a sigh of relief and he laughed lightly as he said, “Come on, hop on!”
