48| Tortured

5 hours later…

Lilith opened her eyes and stared at Lucien peacefully and tiredly asleep. She wondered if he had any sleep at night, and watching him sleep, she took some strands on his hair and tucked them backwards to sleep with the rest.

She smiled lowering her face to kiss his forehead slightly not to wake him up. He didn't bulge, and he couldn't feel it either. He slept like a baby in her arms and she enjoyed every sound and turn he made.

She leaned back on the bed, facing the ceiling and wishing that such a life would never come to an end.

He still held her waist tight like he wasn't ready to let go even in his sleep. Lilith had begun to admire this man sleeping peacefully while holding her tight. She could no longer see a monster in him, but a man who had been wronged, but had almost destroyed himself as a result of it.

Soon, her eyes closed again without realizing her, and she fell into another sound sleep beside him.
