The love we share

CHAPTER 2.

*Maddy’s Pov*

Jake and I met when my father had moved us back to Alpha Blake’s pack. We were five years old back then. Jake is our Alpha’s first-born son and next in line to be the pack’s next Alpha. Until that day comes, he’s referred to as young Alpha Jake. Alpha Blake has made it clear that Jake is going to be Alpha. With or without a Luna, his fated mate or a chosen mate.

At the rate we’ve been going these past few years, most of the pack thinks I’ll be their future Luna. But I cannot help but want my fated mate.

The Moon Goddess has chosen him for me.

I made a huge mistake. Having a long-term relationship with Jake. It’s wrong. We should not have given each other our virginity. There’s no one to blame but myself. I was too young to make such an enormous commitment.

Especially to the Alpha’s son.

I take full responsibility for my actions. I can only imagine what my reckless actions have cost me. Lately, fear has been sneaking up on me. I keep waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. Each time, I’m running in a field of dandelions. I’m never alone, though. There is always a big black wolf running on the side of me. But then the black wolf begins to run ahead of me and once I’m close enough to catch him, he disappears and then I wake up. I wonder what the dream means?

After the altercation with Liza, we went to our seats. The school assigned my seat next to Jake’s since Jake is the pack’s next Alpha. Jake had demanded that my seat to be next to his in every class that we share together. It’s pointless because since freshman year, Jake has made sure my seat is on his lap in every class. Leah has been in a relationship with Jake’s best friend Allred. They have been together for some time. He’s Jake’s future Beta.

Good morning class, your teacher Mrs. Brooks is out today so I’ll be subbing for her. I’m Mr. Larsen. Please, if you have a question, raise your hand. Please open your books to page fifty-one and start reading the second paragraph. Jake turns to page fifty-one and we read it together as usual. The last time I sat in my seat was on the first day of freshman year. Jake likes to keep me close to him as much as possible.

I feel angry eyes on me and when I look up, the substitute teacher is glaring at me. Then he ask’s me, Miss please to explain to me why you’re not sitting at your desk and on this young mans lap?

I answer him..

This is my seat, Mr. Larsen.

Do not play with me, girl! Walking up to me and grabbing me roughly by my chin, get back in

your seat now!

Everything happened so fast! I’m being lifted in the air and placed on Jake’s desk. I look up and Jake has the instructor by his throat with his legs kicking in the air. Speaking in a low voice next to his ear.. I’m the next Alpha in line, so repeat what you just said to my girlfriend.

I’m too stunned to say anything. It’s not because of Jake’s reaction, but because of this teacher’s outburst. He must be from a neighboring pack because the school staff know’s better than to cross the Grey Wolves’ future Alpha.
