Silja POV

I’ve been in Golden Dawn for a couple of months. I have to say, what Jaul has done since taking over five months again is impressive. He is quite capable.

He insisted I stay on the Alpha floor with Lennox since we are family. I would have been fine in the guest wing of the pack house, but he wouldn’t hear of it. I moved to the end of the hall on the Alpha floor with Lennox, so I wouldn’t disturb him and Irina.

Lennox is sitting up now. He is filling in with little fat rings around his

  • Alpha's Picture of Regret   Chapter 133: She snuck in

Gerard POVThis condition I’m in is really starting to piss me off. I remember everything about work, running a pack, my family, strategies, partnerships, and everything. When it comes to Silja, though, my memories are fucking fading.I have been taking my medication religiously and have only made small improvements. The doctor is still working on improving the medication, but the process is painfully slow. I remember Silja. I don’t remember enough, though. There are still things that don’t make sense to me. Like that dream that seems to be in a repeated loop in my head. The blurred part always bothers me. What is this secret? I shake it off and continue looking at documents. I am reviewing some things when there is a knock at the door.“Come in,” I called.I’m still reviewing the contract in front of me when I hear a woman’s voice. “I’ve missed you, Gerry.”I immediately looked up. Trina. I reached for my phone. “Excuse me a moment, Trina.”I dialed security. “I have an unauthorized

  • Alpha's Picture of Regret   Chapter 132: Again

Silja POVAfter we finished eating, I went to the pack hospital with Jaul and Irina. We waited for the doctor, and my hands were shaking. This dream is coming true. Are we really facing our end?Jaul noticed my hands and sat beside me. He grabbed them and held them firmly. “Sils, no matter what, I will provide for you and your son. If you are pregnant again, I will provide for that pup, too. Do not worry. Everything is going to be fine.”I started crying. I know he means it, but right now, the person I want is Gerard. Jaul pulls me in for a hug when the nurse calls my name. I got up and asked them to come with me. I didn’t want to be alone for this. I needed someone in that room with me.“Of course, we will be with you, Silja,” Irina said. She grabbed my hand and walked in with me. Jaul is standing guard behind us.I talked to the doctor. I told him I was anemic during the first pregnancy, and I didn’t experience symptoms. I also haven’t experienced symptoms this time.“Then we are dr

I moved to the end of the hall on the Alpha floor with Lennox, so I wouldn’t disturb him and Irina.Lennox is sitting up now. He is filling in with little fat rings around his legs. He’s happy and is constantly squealing and laughing. I just wish Gerard and I could experience this together instead of apart.Jaul has been giving me updates on Gerard from Sinnett Group. He said the only parts of his memory affected by the poison is anything relating to me, but he is slowly starting to remember, thanks to the antidote. Otherwise, his memory is intact. At first, juggling being a mom and dealing with an aching heart was a struggle. Irina has been great, though. She knows

  • Alpha's Picture of Regret   Chapter 130: Time

Gerard POVThe doctor gave me the antidote. Unfortunately, the antidote takes time. Months. He said that the potency of the residue in the vial was stronger than he anticipated. Slowly, memories have been coming back, but I’m still confused. It’s been two months already, and while I’m home, Silja is not. In fact, she didn’t leave anything behind for me to remember her. Trina is still in my mind, too. To my knowledge, she hasn’t attempted to visit me. Erik did say that she is behind everything, and even though he has yet to find direct evidence, he is certain this is because of her.I keep having a dream about losing Silja. I don’t know why either. It’s the same one each time, too. Everyone is telling me she isn’t leaving me, but giving me space. They tell me that she doesn’t blame me for anything and knows it isn’t my fault. There is always a part that is blurred, and I don’t know why. I never see her in the dream. I only see a shadow holding a baby. There is a nursery here. I know I h

  • Alpha's Picture of Regret   Chapter 129: Leaving

Silja POVI’m packing my suitcases for Lennox and me. I’m also boxing up the baby supplies. In an hour, my folks are going to help me load their car and take me to Golden Dawn. I called ahead, and Jaul, of course, is angry that this is happening, but assured me that he will provide for Lennox and me.My parents are upset as well, but not at Gerard. They are upset that we are not being left alone. It seems like we cannot have a moment’s peace. Their hearts are breaking for me, because I’m a new mother, too. Now I’m going to have to handle this whole parenting thing solo, and I won't have my parents nearby to help.Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the only woman in the world who becomes a single mother, but the circumstances here are terrible. Does Gerard even remember that he has a son? If he remembers the birth, does he remember it with Trina, instead of me?No. I can’t do this to myself. I can’t allow myself to break down. Gerard is going to need space, and I am going to give him that spac

  • Alpha's Picture of Regret   Chapter 128: Suspicions

Gerard POVAround the room, everyone is looking at each other. “Well?”Erik looks at me, “I pulled surveillance at the courthouse and the restaurant. I didn’t see Trina at either location doing anything questionable. However, I did get access to surveillance from a coffee shop across the street shortly before you departed from the courthouse, Alpha.”“And?” I asked.“Trina’s attorney was talking to a man. He passed him something, but it isn’t clear on the video. The man walked away shortly after. At first, I didn’t think much of it. Until I watched the restaurant surveillance again,” Erik said, setting up the climax of his investigation. “Nothing seemed out of place, until about twenty minutes before you left the restaurant with Silja.”“So Trina’s attorney poisoned me? Why, we won that defamation case,” I said.Romy spoke up, “Silja and I won the defamation case. Trina was ordered to retract her claims and publicly apologize to Silja. She was also ordered to pay two hundred and fifty

Erik POV After everything I just found out, I’m not letting Romy slip through my fingers. She was rejected before. No wonder Zeb can’t sense her wolf. Her wolf's silence this long means the heartbreak was real. I wonder how long she had been in love with Beta Larken? He looks every bit of a Playbo

Gerard POVAt fifteen to noon, I make my way to Medallion for lunch with Trina. It’s only a block away, so I will be on time.
