Liz’s POV

“Thank you,” I said. “For what you did. I know it… It wasn’t easy for you.”

Tatum’s eyes lingered on me, her voice low but steady. “Your fight is not over yet,” she said. “I pray to all our gods and goddesses that you will find the strength to beat the darkness that Silas will bring. This world will not survive what he has planned if you cannot.”

I could tell by the look in her eyes that she wasn't just praying for me, she was praying that giving me the last life flower would not have been a waste.

She gave me a single nod, then stepped aside for us to leave. As Arthur, Cecila and I reached the car, Tatum’s voice rang out again.

“Arthur.”

He turned, his hand still holding mine.

“Your sister,” Tatum said, her eyes flicking toward Cecilia, “is one of the bravest people I have ever met. She deserves more than to become just another girl forced to marry and follow under the control of a man.”

Arthur’s jaw tightened, but he met Tatum’s stare with quiet certainty. “I know,” he s

  • Alpha's Regret After I Died    Chapter 168

Liz’s POVI didn’t care that we were supposed to wait until our wedding night to be marked. All I cared about was Arthur, his hands, his touch, the way he looked at me like I was the only thing in the entire world that mattered. I didn’t want to waste another second.Arthur kissed down my neck, each brush of his lips sending electric currents racing through my entire body. My breath came out shaky as I clutched at his shoulders, my nails lightly digging into his skin.He paused for a heartbeat, and then I felt it the sharp press of his fangs breaking my skin.I gasped, but it wasn’t from pain.It was the bond.A rush of warmth exploded inside me, radiating from the mark and spreading through every vein. It was intoxicating, unlike anything I had ever felt. My back arched, and a moan escaping my lips as I clung to Arthur, my body screaming to be closer to him.The bond grew stronger with every second, pulling us closer together, weaving us so tightly that I could feel his heartbeat th

  • Alpha's Regret After I Died    Chapter 167

Liz’s POVIt all felt like a dream I was afraid to wake from. The car rolled through the tall iron gates, and a wave of relief washed over me. We were home.Arthur stepped out first and held out his hand for me to take. “I have something I need to do,” he said, his eyes soft but holding something secret. “Why don’t you go and get cleaned up?”I tilted my head at him curiously but nodded. “Okay,”.I walked through the familiar halls alone, my footsteps echoing softly against the stone floors until I reached Arthur’s room. Walking straight to the mirror.I stared at the reflection staring back at me. A smile tugged at my lips, tears pricking the corners of my eyes. I was back in my body. No longer invisible. No longer a ghost, unseen and unheard.I had started to believe this day would never come, that I would fade from the world forever. But here I was.Alive.I brushed my fingertips over the glass, feeling a happiness I hadn’t felt in so long swell in my chest. Yes, there were still

Liz’s POVMy heart began to race.A sudden warmth flooded my body, so intense it stole my breath. Just seconds ago, everything had been cold and dark, the kind of dark that wraps itself around you and never lets go.And then I remembered.Collapsing, the pain that bloomed in my chest, the blood, I had been dying.Panic clawed at me.It was happening again.I was coming back… trapped in between worlds, just as I had been before. A ghost tethered, unable to leave, unable to live.“No,” I gasped, my voice breaking as I sat up, clutching my chest.Fear twisted through me as I looked wildly around the room, expecting to see the same cruel emptiness I had lived with for so long.“I can’t…” My voice cracked as my hand fisted in the blanket covering me. “I can’t be stuck between again…”I didn’t want this. I had made peace with dying. I had been ready to go, to finally rest. But then I saw them.Cecilia.Arthur.Everyone.They weren’t looking through me.They were looking at me.Their faces

Tatum’s POVI left them in silence, my steps heavy as I made my way down the hidden corridor deep beneath my home. My heart thudded in my chest, each beat echoing like a reminder of the vow I was about to break. The words I’d told them about the flower weren’t a complete lie. The fire had been real, and after today, the flower would become nothing but a fairytale.I could still smell the smoke in my memory, thick and choking, as the flames tore through our lands. We’d fought with everything we had to save our home and the sacred life flowers we’d sworn to protect, but the fire was too strong, devouring everything in its path. The flowers were wiped out. Entire species of magical creatures we had sheltered for centuries were lost forever in the blaze. And so was my sister.I stopped at the chamber where the last flower was kept, my hands trembling as I touched the enchanted door. It opened with a soft hum, and I stepped inside. There it was.The last life flower. My sister had saved i

Tatum’s POVI led Melissa into a smaller chamber in my home, away from prying eyes. My patience had already thinned, and the moment the door closed behind us, my anger erupted.“You should not have brought them here,” I hissed, my voice low but hard enough to cut. “You know our laws, Melissa. You know what this tribe stands for. And yet you put us all at risk!”Melissa didn’t flinch. She stood tall, her eyes steady on mine. “I had no choice.”“There is always a choice,” I spat.“No.” Her voice rose, strong and unyielding. “The magic that was used on Liz came from here. I felt it the moment I saw her. This was Rain Tribe magic, magic that was banned years ago and that you have tried to erase, Tatum, and you know what that means. Someone from within these walls is responsible. And if they had the power to do that…” She took a step forward. “I fear not only for Liz… but for the tribe. For all of us.”Her words landed like stones in my chest.I stared at her, my jaw tight, my magic hummi
