Emily.
"Don't tell me that Tyler. It wasn't I who started it, it was your mother. How could you believe her? We've been together for close to four years now and you think I'm capable of doing such a thing?" I was at the brim of tears. His back was turned on me because he was angry, but I was angrier. I whimpered as the tears that brimmed my eyes fell on my cheek.
He finally turned to face me, and once he saw the tears in my eyes, he heaved deeply. "Emily." He called my name softly, but this time, I turned my back on him because I didn't want to see him.
In all four years of our marriage, this was the first time Tyler and I fought. I felt bad about it, but I wasn't going to sit back and watch his mother disrespect me. I folded my arms, trying hard not to face him again until I felt his arms wrapped around my waist. It made me calm again, and I forced out a smile when he kissed the mark on my neck.
"I don't ever want to hurt you or be in a disagreement with you baby. But my mother, she's just getting to know you. You're a good woman, I'm sure she understands that." He made me turn around to face him and kissed my forehead. "Let's never fight because of little issues, I'll talk to my mother not to bring up the issue of a child to you again."
I heaved deeply. Maybe I had also overstepped my boundary with what I had just said too. It was hard, hard enough for me that I wasn't pregnant yet. "I'll apologize to her as well," I said. I was simply doing this for his happiness since he meant everything to me.
He embraced me tightly and swept me off my feet before heading towards the bed and placing me on it while I giggled.
The next morning, Tyler went out to the fields to train some of the new wolves. I normally go with him, but today, I was feeling sick. I had been in my room all day, thinking about the first day I had met him. He was a senior, and I was a junior back then in college. Our first meeting wasn't that good, but afterward, we fell so in love with each other.
I rose from the bed when I felt a little thirsty and decided to go get myself a glass of juice and water. I took the stairs and came down to the living room. His mother was seated on the longest couch. "Good morning mom." I greeted her, but I got no response. All I wanted was to just turn my back and walk away, but I couldn't. I shut my eyes tight and inhaled a deep breath.
"I'm sorry for yesterday," I said, but she still didn't give me a response. Why did she hate me so much? She hasn't even tried to get to know me yet. Was it only because I couldn't bear a child yet? "Mom?" I called again but was lashed out at.
"Get the hell out of my sight you witch. You're good for nothing woman and you don't deserve the title Luna if you can't give my son a little pup." She yelled. Jeez, again with the little pup of a thing. I was mad, but I held my anger. Exhaling and inhaling were all I needed to do.
I decided to just walk away instead of responding to her. I walked towards the fridge and opened it up, but to my greatest surprise, nothing was there. I had just restocked this 3 Days ago so where was it all? I shut my eyes tight.
Kathleen, my wolf was angrier than I was. She wanted to tear the old lady apart, but I calmed her down. "Let's just go down the street and get a restock," Kathleen suggested. I took the stairs and walked back into the room to get my car keys. Once I took it, I headed straight for the garage only to find out that my favorite car had a flat tire and broken glass.
"What the fuck!!"
I wanted to scream out the entire rage in me. I turned my back angrily only to see Tyler's mother standing behind me. I balled my hands again, staring at her with hatred in my eyes. If looks could kill, she would have been six feet under the ground by now.
Do this for Tyler. Kathleen told me, and I immediately calmed down. I walked back into the house after roughing my hair. I couldn't wait for Tyler to be back so I would tell him about his annoying mother. She was getting on my nerves and I was close to losing my patience. I picked up my phone and began staring at some cute pictures of Tyler and me together.
Suddenly, I felt a quick but sharp pain. It immediately stopped even before I could wince in pain. It made me wonder what was happening. This type of pain only meant one thing, but no, it wouldn't be my Tyler. It wouldn't be the Tyler I've spent so many years with.
I decided to ignore the pain, but Kathleen was bothered, and so was I. I immediately searched for Tyler's number and called it.
"Hey, baby." I greeted him, and he greeted me back.
"When will you be home? I miss you already." I said. The background of the place he was in was calm. So there was nothing to be suspicious about. Maybe he was in the office now.
"Was the training successful?" I questioned.
"Dale's handling that. I went to the office to do something important."
"Baby, can you get a restock on your way home, the fridge's empty."
"Thought you stocked it up some days ago?"
"You wouldn't believe how it all vanished even if I told you. Just get a restock okay."
"Are you feeling better? How about you go meet the pack doctor."
"It's nothing serious, Tyler. I'll be up in a day or two."
"Alright, love. See you soon." He said and immediately ended the call.
I stared at my phone for about 10 seconds before dropping it back on the bed close to me. Taking a pillow, I placed it beside me and rested my chin on it.
That swift pain came again, but like before, it vanished. I was slowly becoming worried. I thought of seeing the pack doctor, but I was feeling extremely lazy to step out of the house. The issue with my car, I couldn't bear to look at it as well.
My phone started ringing. When I saw the caller it was Anita, my childhood friend. I picked up the call immediately and placed the phone on my ears.
I was expecting to hear her sweet voice, but what I heard were her cries. Her cries made my heart bleed and I wondered what could be the problem.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I questioned worriedly.
"I.. it's…it's Alex. He cheated on me with his childhood friend and now, he rejected me, Emily. He did that to me after all the promises he made to me. I begged him, I tried to remind him I was carrying his child, but nothing I said got to his ears. Even my tears weren't able to move him. This isn't Alex, Emily. I think my husband has been bewitched. Alex is gone, and I can't get him back… I.. I.."
"Calm down Anita, tell me where you are and I'll come to get you right now. Stop hurting yourself. It'll affect the baby."
"The baby?" She questioned.
"Just tell me where you are, stop talking." I was getting even more worried about her.
Anita's the only friend I've got since high school. Like me, she always wanted a perfect life and a perfect marriage. We both got that with our different spouses, but now, what the hell was going on?
I knew Alex well, and I was still finding it hard he did that to her. Maybe it was a misunderstanding. I just needed to see Anita and talk to her.
"Alex doesn't care about the baby anymore. He rejected me already and there's nothing I can do. Meet me at our favorite meeting spot, I'll be waiting for you, Emily, please hurry."
I rose from my bed and immediately opened the cupboard where Tyler usually kept the keys to his multiple cars, and I picked one immediately and rushed out of the house without bothering about what I looked like.
I ignored Tyler's mother and got into the car. Once I got in, I zoomed out of the house to go meet Anita. I still vividly remember our favorite meeting spot before we both got married. We always met there almost every day.
Some minutes later, I got there and stepped out of the car in a rush. I was still feeling sick, but all I cared about was Anita and how she was doing. I saw her, seated on the floor like a hopeless person.
I rushed to her and hugged her tight. "It's okay. I'm here now, and you can talk to me." I said rubbing her hair while she began crying loudly on my shoulders.
About an hour later, she was done crying to her heart's content. I stared down at her protruding stomach and smiled. "You're doing great, just great Anita."
I envied her and for a quick second, I wished I was the one with a baby in my womb.
"I wanna see Alex and punch him myself for hurting you. How could he? I mean after all the promises I made to you? What a hypocrite! A loser.." I yelled out loud, reminding Anita of the old days when we would come here and scream at the people we were angry at.
I helped her up on her feet and into my car. I was ready for a fight, and Alex was gonna get one from me.
We stopped at his mansion. Anita became all tears again from just the sight of it. As we both stepped in, I rang the doorbell multiple times before I was answered.
Alex was the one who opened the door, and beside him was a young lady- the fucking home breaker. I thought inwardly.
"Anita… what the fuck are you doing here? I thought…"
"You thought what you fucking hypocrite!" I yelled out loud and landed a heavy blow on his chin. Another punch and he fell on the floor while the bitch of a mistress ran backward to hide.
"How dare you, Alex. How dare you hurt and….'.
Suddenly, I felt a very serious pain in my chest. I was expecting it to disappear as the rest had, but no. It didn't. Instead, it soon became unbearable for me to handle and I fell to the floor.
"Emily!" I heard Anita's voice as she ran towards me. I was finding it hard to breathe, and the pain was only becoming worse. What does this mean?
Was Tyler with another woman? I couldn't believe it, so I discarded the thought and passed out immediately.
AUTHOR’S POV.“Please just stay still babe,” Tyler uttered as he got down from his car and headed straight for the back seat where Karen lay.He opened the car door quickly and wrapped Karen around his hands while he rushed as fast as his legs could carry him inside. “Somebody please help, my wife, is in labor,” Tyler yelled out. Dr. Grace and her team of nurses arrived with haste, quickly relieving Tyler of Karen's weight and transferring her to a wheeled stretcher. In no time, the procession quickly carried Karen away.“Just sit here sir, I assure you, she will be fine,” Grace mentioned before leaving for Karen's ward. Tyler felt his heart beat so fast and hard. As he sat on the visitors' seats, he could hear Karen's loud groan from the operating room. He sprang to his feet, his eyes burning with anxiety as he began to pace around the room. In a moment of desperation, he closed his eyes and clasped his hands together, silently asking the moon goddess for a positive outcome.“Ple
CHRISTIAN’S POV.“Let's talk outside,” I said to Blake as he glanced at me. “Stay here Lilith,” I whispered, placing her back on the visitor's seat. I walked outside immediately while Blake trailed behind me. The air practically crackled with my anger as I faced Blake, my hands clenching into fists at my sides itching to strike him.“Why, Blake?” I snarled. “Why would you break my sister’s heart?”. He kept his gaze trained on the floor, remaining silent.“Look at me!” I shouted, my voice laced with contempt. “Tell me why you did it! Do you have any idea what she's been through?”Finally, Blake looked up, his expression one of shame and regret. “I’m sorry, Christian,” he murmured, his voice barely audible. My blood boiled at the sight of his pathetic attempt at an apology.“Sorry?” I spat, my eyes blazing with rage. “You think that’s enough? Mia sacrificed herself to save you, even after everything you did to her, and all you can say is I’m sorry?”I could feel my hands trembling, a
TYLER'S POV.I sat next to Blake and Christian's cousin, Lilith. As I looked down at her, her little eyes were swollen already. “Hey, are you okay?” I questioned but she didn't even blink an eye to show that she was alright. “they’re going to be okay.” I declared. I inhaled a deep breath and shut my eyes deeply, calling the moment Emily was being stabbed. Christian had been furious and controlled by his anger. Maybe I wasn't the one Emily deserved it be with, after all, maybe Christian was her real mate. The way he sliced Talia's throat within the blink of an eye proved how much he loved and cared about Emily. Truly, Christian was the greatest and most powerful lycan that had ever existed. He fought with full strength and emotions and no one could ever defeat him. He would always win every single battle that came his way because he was born of Lycan blood.I opened my eyes wide as soon as I heard Christian’s voice. He walked out of a room that had a short description of “staff
CHRISTIAN’S POV I stood frozen unable to take my gaze off Emily as she dropped down to the floor. I could feel my heart beating so fast and I couldn't breathe well anymore. My crawls came running out of my fingers and I felt like I wasn't in control of myself anymore. I was still in human form but fur grew slowly on my face. “We can now be together Chris.” I heard Talia's voice. With annoyance, I sped off where she stood and grabbed her neck tightly. You're such a monster.” I barked. “It's time for you to leave this earth as well.” I declared as my grip on her neck worsened. “Please Christian, I did this for our love.” Talia cried out but it only worsened the pain even more.I wasn't in control anymore and the moment my eyes gleamed again, I slit her throat with my fingers and threw her lifeless body far away. Tears dropped down from my eyes as I averted my gaze back to where Emily lay on the floor.Lilith sat close to her, holding her hand tightly. I felt a drop of water on my
AUTHOR’S POV.Christian arrived at the imposing building and immediately stomped through the front door, in annoyance. His frustration grew when he was interrogated by a group of bodyguards who searched his body for weapons. Finding nothing, they finally ushered him into a large, cold room where he spotted Mia and Emily bound to chairs. With a swift motion, Christian freed them from their restraints, but before they could even thank him, a familiar figure entered the room. His blood ran cold instantly as I recognized the pale, arrogant features of Roland and some others. Roland stood before them, and his eyes narrowed in anticipation.“Ah, Christian,” he drawled, his voice dripping with false cordiality. “I’m so glad you could join us.”“Let us go,” Christian snapped, his anger barely contained. “You’ve no right to hold us captive like this..” “On the contrary,” Roland replied with a widening smile. “You decided not to yield to our warnings. Why don't you just join me and the othe
TYLER’S POV.I opened my eyes and sat straight up on the bed. I felt very different and somehow happy. I wasn't going to lay in bed throughout the day because Karen was here now. With a deep breath, I stood to my feet and walked straight to the bathroom. Karen had woken up early and left my room. I washed up a little and stepped out of my room quickly. While I took the staircase, I spotted Mia and Emily standing in the living room and it seemed like they were both waiting for me. “Hey, good morning,” I uttered as I walked towards where they both stood. “Morning,” Karen responded first, and then Emily. “I need your help Tyler, I need to warn Christian about Alpha Damon's plans and help with fighting every single person that's after him,” Emily said. I glanced at her for a moment and as our eyes locked, I could feel the pain within her. She was really worried about Christian. She still had the same sparkling eyeballs. All I could see right now was my Emily from a few months ago.
