AUTHOR'S POV:

Amanda still laid on the bed with her gaze facing the wall, and even though she knew Damian had walked away, she didn't want to turn her head because she had tears in her eyes.

Daniel could have left her to die when the rogues had attacked her and not saved her because that was exactly what she wanted. There was fear in her heart, and even though Amanda knew how to act pretty strong in front of people, she only breaks down when she's alone.

Daniel didn't move an inch from the entrance where he stood watching over Amanda, but he could hear her whispers as she cried. One moment, he wanted to take steps closer to her, and them maybe try to comfort her, but the thought of Amanda snapping at him made him discard the thought from his mind immediately, and replace it with minding his own business.
