2 Years Later.

"Oh good gracious! You scared the living hell out of me!" My hand was on my chest as I stared at the man covered in a raincoat and waiting for me right in front of my apartment.

I tucked my hand into my bag and brought out my keys.

"What are you doing here again?"

As I opened the door, we both walked into my house, and I offered him a seat. I walked towards the kitchen, picked up a neat glass, and filled it with fresh juice from the fridge.

"You keep coming every month without stopping." I took my seat. He was staring at me, but it was something that I was already used to.

"Tell me, Damian, how long do you think you're gonna keep trying."

For one, I hated Damian so much back in the days, but two years ago, he was the one who saved me. He was my guardian angel that day I almost ended my life. He saved me from a running truck, and till today, I am still so very grateful to him.

I sipped from the glass of juice and dropped it on the table. Damian wasn't so bad after all. He was nothing like I always painted him to be in the past, and I realized it two years ago when I was abandoned by everyone.

"It's time for you to come back home Mia. For starters, you cannot keep living here. This isn't where you belong."

I rolled my eyes. He had been trying to convince me to come back home for three months now, but I kept refusing. "Maybe you need me to explain the meaning of banish. If I step my foot back in the pack, then I'll be dead, and you know it Damian."

"I said I'd protect you."

"Definitely not from the burning hatred of my father and my pack after what I did two years ago. Why don't you hate me as well?"

He rose up on his feet. "I'll be back again." He ignored my question again.

Deep down, I told myself that no matter how Damian was going to convince me, I wouldn't give in and go. I was fine here. Living a simple average life, just like I always wanted. At least I was fine with the past now, and I had learned to stop hating myself already.

Damian had no idea why I didn't want to go, and I didn't want him to know either. As he took a step, his phone rang and I watched him pull it out from his side pocket.

"I'll be there right now."

The way he replied, and the way he turned around to look at me made me scared. "What's wrong?"

"It's your sister." He said

I arched my brows in surprise, and rose up on my feet in an instant. "Mia?"

"She's in danger!?"

"What?"

It felt like he knew. He knew my sister would be the only weapon he could use to get me back to the crescent pack. Back to the past that I had left behind two years ago.

*******

When the car halted right in front of my father's mansion, I was so scared. I had no idea what to think, but I was scared to step down from the car.

It was like I was walking right back into the past that I was avoiding so much. My heart was racing, and my hands were shaking, but then I had a reason for coming back.

My plan was to make sure my sister was alright and head back to the city immediately. I might be denying it for so long, but I really miss everyone, especially Mia.

I tried to take a step into the house, but then I couldn't. I sucked a deep breath in and clenched my hands telling myself to be bold, and when I finally took a step forward, I heard Mia's voice.

"Elena?"

I froze.

I didn't look back.

I thought I had heard wrong until I heard her call my name again.

"Elena?"

When I heard her for the second time, I immediately turned around. Mia was standing behind me. Everything about her changed so much over the short span of two years. I was staring intently at her and I couldn't take my eyes off. I was just realizing that I miss my sister like hell.

I recalled telling her not to come for me and to live her best life trying to make our father proud. Mia changed so much from the lady I knew two years ago. She now had blonde hair, she had grown taller, and even more pretty.

A smile escaped my lips as Mia ran towards me and hugged me tight. "Sis." She called. Hell, I really miss that word so much. I couldn't help it as tears rolled down my eyes. "Mia, I'm here. Your big sis is here now."

I was rubbing her hair. I didn't want to let her go.

"When did you get here sis?"

"Just now. I came for you, are you alright?"

"Let's go in." Damian cut off.

"I can't go in. I have to leave now."

"Now! Can't you stay a little longer? Let's go to my house instead." She said, I stared at Damian and smiled at him. He nodded back because he knew I was thanking him.

Mia and I went to her car, and she drove out of our father's mansion. It was really hurting that I didn't see him, but I knew I would only remind him of 2 years ago. I know what I did, and I didn't want to feel sorry for it again.

The house Mia stopped in, it was familiar. The very moment she entered the blood crest pack, I was finding it hard to understand what the hell was going on.

I waited without asking any questions until she halted her car, and opened the door to step down. I also got down, and when I looked around, I was reminded of the past immediately.

"Mia, where are we?" I questioned.

This was a place I didn't want to be, at least not yet. I continued staring at her.

The smile on her face immediately faded as she was walking towards me. She touched my hand and rubbed it gently.

"My husband's home, sis." She said to me, It was even more confusing to me. The one place I would never forget was this mansion because it was where the man I had secretly loved and admired rejected me without remorse.

"Alessandro is my husband."

I heard wrong. "What?" I said this to myself asking myself why Mia would do this to me. I was trying to be calm and not blame her.

"I'm doing this for you sis, I'm doing this to make him suffer for what he did to you two years ago." She said, but we were immediately interrupted when Alessandro walked right into the gate and halted the moment his eyes met with that of mine.

This time, I could see something different in them as I stared back at him trying to cover my admiration with hate.

MIA:I knew who Tristan Thompson was, and as I kept standing at Alessandro's door, I knew he was gonna come out, or let me in. I patiently waited, counting every damn seconds, and just before I utter the word 20, I heard the door knob creak even though it had taken longer than I expected.A little smirk crept on my lips as I watched the door slowly open, and when Alessandro showed his face to me, that smirk disappeared."You decided to come out simply because I have information on your mortal enemy?""I've told you times without number, Mia, you and I are simply together because of what you offered in the past. There's only a few more days for all that to be over, and I don't ever plan on renewing the contract no matter what it is that you have to offer.""Then you wouldn't wanna know where Tristan Thompson and his family are?" I moved closer to Alessandro with just two steps and continued, "Hus family destroyed your father's reputation, they made your father kill himself when you wer

MIA:As I shut the door to my office and locked it, I received a call but didn't pick it up until I got to my car. I had to hasten my steps because I was eager for the call and I had been expecting it.Maybe because I had it in mind that it was my time to put everyone in their places. I had gone through fucking enough already and to even know that both Alessandro and Damian were on Elena's side was the most painful part of everything. As I got to my car and shut the door, I answered the call when it came again, and placed the phone right next to me."Hey, what took you so long?""I'm sorry, but I was trying to confirm my suspicious after what I found out.""That's good, at least you found out something. so tell me what's it." "There's a lady, ma'am. A lady by the name Amanda, buy I have absolutely no idea who she is. They were together, and I saw him drop her off at a local street in dark moon pack.""A lady?" ELENA:I watched Damian effortlessly paced to and fro around the living room while holding his phone, and staring at it every 5 minutes. He would say some words under his breath, and shut his eyes in frustration at some point in time and even I couldn't think properly with whatever he was doing.Although I was still trying to understand the reason why Damian had left the wedding in such a state after hearing something from Daniel, but that wasn't the most important thing. The most important thing was telling him the truth about Alessandro and I. I didn't know how Damian would take the news or if he would even help me if I told him about the news, but I had to somehow.I cleared my throat aloud, expecting him to give me attention, but Damian didn't. He didn't also stop pacing and that got me to stand on my feet and walk towards him. I touched his shoulders, which made him stop pacing, and then I made him look at my eyes,"What's wrong Damian? If you're desperately waiting for a call, th

DAMIAN:I wasn't tired of trying, and neither was I tired of trying to find out exactly who Amanda's mother was. It's been two days she's here now, and I got absolutely nothing for her. Today, u wanted thing to be different because I felt Amanda was right. If I was the good guy, then there was no need to keep her locked up. When I felt tired and gave up all hopes, I laid down on the sofa and Fe asleep only to wake up the next morning.Alessandro didn't come home tonight. It meant two things,It was either he had spent the night with Elena or he was somewhere else doing his normal dangerous job with his enemies. As I got outside the house, I noticed a new car amongst the cars in the compound and it didn't take me long to recognize it as Elena's car.
