Chapter 63

MIA:

I sat on the three seater sofa, waiting patiently for Alessandro's return, but he didn't come home up until late midnight. When I felt tired and gave up all hopes, I laid down on the sofa and Fe asleep only to wake up the next morning.

Alessandro didn't come home tonight.

It meant two things,

It was either he had spent the night with Elena or he was somewhere else doing his normal dangerous job with his enemies. I rose to my feet and headed straight for the stairs so I could go get prepared and leave for work.

About 30 minutes later, I was done preparing and ready to go. As I got outside the house, I noticed a new car amongst the cars in the compound and it didn't take me long to recognize it as Elena's car. I scoffed aloud, not even my eyes, and the fact that all this had been going for a long time and yet I failed to even notice it.
