Damien was lost in the thoughts of the night he had with Amelia. He could remember the way he flipped his hand round her waist. He saw her in her wolf form and it strengthened the scent he had control over once. He was moved with her glow in the dark night and her soft ash eye. Her beauty he noticed at that moment and walked towards her himself.
Amelia stared at him as he moved close to her“You've suffered so much yet you still look beautiful under the night sky.” He whispered in her hears.“You're drunk Damien.”“No I'm not.” He said flipping her hair back and forth. He took her hands and watched her reaction. He has longed to move closer to her so close. He lifted her up from the corridor and took her to his room.Amelia wondered how she didn't stop him. Is it because she suddenly felt wanted?Damien had her head in his hands holding it and rubbing his palm on her cheeks. He sniffed her and her scent got him held. He dropped his hands down to her thigh sending shivers down her spine. Amelia's breath seized for a minute she didn't want to lose the moment. Her thoughts were interrupted when Damien locked his lips with hers rubbing her back. He grabbed her neck and gave no space to their body.He landed her on the big sofa in the room raising her dress up to get a better view“So this is you.” Amelia felt a rush of pleasure as he rubbed his hands all over her. Her lips wanted to move but was held back as Damien locked his lips with hers again this time holding her tight and close. Her smell made him crazy without control which led Amelia to a scream. Damien's thought were interrupted by the words of a young man.“We're running out of time Damien.”“Yes I know it. And I know they'll come if we don't.”“Then let's take a move first before they burst in here.”Damien looked at Ethan's eyes passed a message and he understood immediately.“Oh is that why you asked not to mention it to anyone yetHe nodded in agreement.“Is Amelia okay?”“Yes she's doing very well. Pretty well actually.”The night was drawing in close, damien kept thinking of the one night he had with Amelia.“You look beautiful Keila and you smell so good.”She giggled.“Father didn't tell me where you're from, do you mind telling me?”“I do mind telling you because all that should matter to you is we're bound by fate. And I'll be in your embrace as long as you keep me in” Keila smiled, tangling her hands with his.“Damien, your father calls. Please hurry”“Yeah sure.”“Keila, I'll meet you soon.”Damien hurried out of the room. The passages were less of guardians at that time. The sound of war was never their way but ever since the Silver frost pack lost a twin child they've been scattering every pack waging war unnecessarily. The Alpha of Silver frost pack made a wrong choice listening to his brother. The sound of clashing swords and the bites were brutal. Every innocent member of the Darkmoon pack was badly injured. They were caught off guard. The Alpha of Darkmoon pack Damien's father asked him to gather the pack guardians and fight back. Damien's father went out to fight the war with them. His swords against the other. The others were kept safe in the house as long as they didn't peep through the war. The Silver frost pack didn't just come to wage war against them, they needed something done. At that time Keila heard noises and walked out of her room in fear. She kept on screaming out for damien. Then she saw one of her pack members, the silver frost pack, raised up a sword and killed her. Damien heard her screams and left the face of the battle running to save her but her breath slowly seized. Her hands became cold as the words dropped from her mouth,“Silver frost pack.”She dropped dead instantly Damien's scream took him days to recover from her death. He has been so close since his Father brought her home. Their entanglement was beyond being mated. He went back into the house to find his father's body laid down at the throne. His pain shifted into a big river of tears, tore his clothes and shut the door on himself. His rage was risen his eye glowed in the dark night and he screamed shouting“I'll kill them all.”His eyes opened in his room Ethan was standing right at his front sighed“You've been dreaming about four years ago“The day is drawing near Ethan“And that's why you have to let go of that day and out of your head.“In the next 7 days there'll be no more or less war as long as we've finished this.”Ethan reassured him.He got out of bed and prepared food and shelter for the pack members.“Prepare them but don't give a clue.”“Damien?”“Amelia, you should be in the room.”“I want to talk,”she said, walking close to him.“Amelia, he'll be with you soon.” Ethan stopped her“I want to see him now Ethan.” she growled.“You've grown so stubborn and free.” He said from the bathtub.Amelia thought seeing him immediately would be better. They were together last night and now he's acting worse like he used to.“What do you want?”She looked at him, his huge body and remembered how the night went. She swallowed her saliva and walked gently even closer.“Amelia, what do you want?”She hesitated.“Amelia?” Ethan called. She was lost at the sight she stared at“Nevermind. I just wanted to say thank you for looking out for me.” She said and turned back to leave. They both looked at her speechless at her behavior.Amelia's PovI watched Damien closely, my heart racing as I saw the glow in his eyes slowly calm again. His breathing became more regular, and the tension in the room lifted slightly. The way his gaze softened almost made me forget the chaos that had just unfolded. But we both know that couldn't happen. He stood up as if nothing had happened, like he hadn't just nearly lost control, like I hadn't nearly lost him. My heart was beating fast in my chest, and I felt my anger bubbling up. "Damien!" I couldn’t hold it in anymore. "Why are you acting like nothing happened?” I asked, my anger was clear. “I'm sure Ethan has packed the necessary things. And has Cassie gotten you ready? You should know we are leaving.” He said, moving round the room, his eyes moved all through the parts of the room and I watched him panic. “What are you doing? Why are you just ignoring everything? You can’t just knock out like that and expect me to forget it! What the hell is going on with you?" I was so
Amelia's Pov My hands were shaking as I helped Damien onto the bed. He was completely down and asleep, or so I thought. Blood soaked his clothes, the deep stains spreading across his chest, and I could only imagine how bad his wounds must be. His skin was pale, too pale. His breathing was shallow, and I had to remind myself that he was still alive, still here. I couldn’t lose him.Cassie stood in the corner of the room, her eyes wide, her body rigid. She looked almost... terrified, as if something far worse was on the horizon. But I didn’t have time to focus on her right now. I quickly unbuttoned his shirt, pulling it away from his body, trying to keep my hands steady as I cleaned him off. His body was still warm, but the blood that covered him made it feel like he was slipping away. I wiped away the stains as best I could, taking great care not to cause him any pain. He was unconscious, but I didn’t want to take any chances. The blood was drying fast, and I worked frantically,
Amelia's Pov I could feel Damien’s intense gaze on me, his dark eyes piercing through me as if he were trying to figure out what I was saying. He didn’t speak, but I could see the storm brewing inside of him. I had just told him that I didn’t want to become Luna, something I thought I meant at the time, but now, as I looked at him, I wasn’t so sure anymore. Before I could even process my own emotions, Ethan burst into the room, looking so sharp and frantic. “Sapphira’s gone,” he said, his words crashing into the silence.Damien’s face twisted in horror as he shot up from his seat, his body tense with panic. “What do you mean, gone?” he yelled, his voice filled with panic. “Why wasn’t she stopped?!” His words were laced with anger, his fists clenched as he stormed towards the door, shoving past the guards. His movements were wild, desperate, like a man unraveling before my eyes.I watched him in stunned silence as he slapped the guards’ faces, his actions harsh and without mercy. His
Sapphira’s PovI should have known it wouldn't be easy with Damien. I should have just killed her rather than take things easy with her. My heart hurt and I felt my gut screaming failure. The scenes came back in a flash and I yelled. “I'm not giving up on you, Amelia. We've started this, and we'll both end it.” I whispered in such despair. What could have been better than taking what I deserved? Kept and separated from the life I should own, only to come back and find it gifted to someone else. I couldn't stand living my life up to someone else's. Especially not Amelia, she had everything, I didn't even get a mate, and no one knew I was part of the silver moon pack. Staring at the walls that I was locked up in, I should have known Damien wouldn’t take things lightly. I should have planned better. I should have had a backup escape route. But no, I was too caught up in my own arrogance, thinking I could handle him, thinking I could break Amelia before he even had the chance to strik
Amelia’s PovPain was the only thing I could feel, it hadn't been a while since my life had felt that. Damien never let that happen, with his fierce eye gaze and harsh words but love deep in his heart for me. I saw it, I saw his eyes, the care and the concern. I saw it all there, how did I miss that? If he truly loved me, I should have seen that properly. I did see it, but I didn't want to hurt myself. Everything just got too far as I've seen what I needed, to be strong. I groaned, my body trembling as I tried to lift my arms. My wrists burned from the silver chains, the cuts were deep and raw. My fingers fumbled with the dagger Damien had thrown to me, and my hands were slick with blood. Every movement sent a jolt of agony through my body, but I gritted my teeth, refusing to give up. If anything I needed to survive this and take back what I own."Come on," I muttered under my breath, trying to steady my shaking hands. With a sharp inhale, I tightened my grip and sawed at the r
Damien’s PovMy heart pounded as I stepped forward, my senses heightened, every instinct screaming that I was walking into a trap. And I was right. The moment my foot crossed the boundary, a surge of power shot up around me. A barrier. Before I could react, figures emerged from the darkness, their eyes glowed with malice. The forces of the Silver Frost Pack surrounded me in an instant, their weapons drawn, their snarls echoing in the cold night air. Amelia laid on the floor, her body limp, her face battered and bruised. Blood smeared her pale skin, and her wrists were bound tightly with silver chains, her breath coming in shallow gasps. She lifted her head weakly, her eyes finding mine, filled with desperation. "Damien…" she whispered. "Please… save me." A sharp pain tore through my chest at the sight of her so helpless. My hands clenched into fists. If only I had trained her longer. If only I had prepared her for the dangers that lurked outside the pack. She was strong, b
