Amelia and I tear apart, and I look towards the door and see Beta Kaden. A small part of me feels relieved that we were interrupted, but seeing the angry look on his face, I know that this will not be a pleasant conversation. He’s insanely protective of Veronica. I’m sure he’s not happy that I chewed her out. But he has pampered her too much and allowed her to believe that she can treat anyone any way she wants to, and I will not accept this behavior. Our pack needs a change.

Honestly, with Amelia’s kindness and sincerity, she has shown me what kind of Alpha I want to be and how I want our pack to look like to others. I want to be kind to our members and treat them well. I want people to wish that they were a part of our pack.
