Chapter 10 | Initiation

I’ve wanted to initiate Amelia into our pack, but this isn’t the way I planned to go about it. I wanted Amelia to want to be a part of the pack. And now I feel like I’ve taken her choice away from her now and that is the exact opposite of what I wanted to do. But… Veronica made my blood boil, and she was out of line.

I’m having so many issues between her and her father right now and it is making me feel incredibly on edge. My wolf was annoyed by them and temperamental, he wanted me to just kick them out of the pack, but I can't do that.

We get into my office, and I close the door behind me. I notice when I walk past Amelia and raise my hand up to run it through my hair that she winced. I look at her confused for why she did that. Does she really think that I would hurt her?

I know I haven’t been the kindest man toward her, but I didn’t think she thought I was that cruel. I ask, “Are you okay, Amelia?”

Her eyes flicker towards me and she gives a tightlipped smile as she nods, “Ye
