Today has been the most infuriating day of my life.

I knew everything that was happening wasn’t Amelia’s fault. I couldn’t be mad at her over any of it. But I am angry with Kaden for what he did, angry with him and his daughter for spreading rumors around my pack, and angry at the amount of people that came to the pack house today just so they could get a look at Amelia or tease her.

When she brought my dinner in late it was the final straw. I need to know everything, and I need her to tell me. But I need to do this in an area where she won’t feel scared that someone might be listening in.

I bring her down the hallway and I unlock the door that only I have a key to and I lead her inside. It opens up to another hallway and there’s one door on the left side, one on the right, and one straight in front of us. I take her to the one in front of us that holds and interrogation room that is sound proofed. Her voice wavers as she asks, “Why are we in here? What’s going on?”
