Lydia's POV

I sighed deeply as I rolled on to my side. The familiar warmth and scent that came from Fred blanketed me as his arm went around my waist. This was home.

“Your friends will be here in two hours, let's prepare to meet them,” Fred's voice washed over me. I didn't want him to stop talking.

“We have time,” I murmured and snuggled into his hold. He sighed behind me and kissed the back of my ears.

“If we don't get up now, we won't have the so-called time you're talking about,” his response made me sigh even deeper. I wanted to remain in this spot. Fear was making me cling to him.

Fred got up and pulled me into his arms before walking to the bathroom where we showered. He stayed within arms length at all times. Adjusting his width based on the discomfort I was trying very hard to hide.

After we got dressed, he went out to get the rabbit he set a trip for yesterday. I suddenly began to feel the soon tilting as my heart clenched.

He wasn't gone for more than three minutes but I nea

Lydia's POV “Well, he's still as calculating as ever. I heard he's forged a bond with sister dearest and they have consummated it. I'm not sure what he wants to achieve but I believe he wants to seal the rift caused by the bond severance,” Choice said to me as she stirred her cup of tea.I looked over my shoulder at Carl and Fred who seemed to be having a strategy meeting if the maps in front of them are anything to go by.“Tasha doesn't know when to stop. And that has been her greatest problem. In a way I am thankful that she took him, I would never have had the gall to go after Fred if things worked out between us. At the very least I'm glad I don't have a child for him,” I said, the familiar tingling that followed the memory of my dead child came back.I was pregnant for Lawrence at the time he began all this nonsense. I decided to see how far he would take things, even told him about it, but he was so vested in his schemes that he closed his eyes and sacrificed my child. He came

Tasha's POV Every single part of my body hurts. There was a ringing sound in my ears like I had a concussion. What the hell happened?I forced myself to turn to the side and gasped when I realized where I was.I was not only back at the palace but I was in Lawrence's bed. The sensation of cool breeze on my skin told me that I was butt naked as well. And the pain I felt in my body was literally everywhere.I brought my hand to my belly and froze when it felt sticky. What the hell did I do?!I heard a groan to my side and turned to see a lady I didn't know also completely undressed next to me. Horror filled me as I stared at her. Please no! It can't be!A deep sigh at the foot of the bed caught my attention and I saw Lawrence trying to sit up. He too undressed and then memories that I seemed to not remember slammed into me all at once. I sat up and stared at the people that were in different states of nakedness all over the room. We had a wild night, not just Lawrence having a wolf ni

Tasha's POV “Let's go, it's nothing,” Lawrence continued to pull me towards a vehicle that he personally drove straight to the temple.I was scared, nervous, unwilling, everything that I shouldn't be for this to work. But that thunder clap was a sign of an omen that Lawrence is hell bent on ignoring!“Look, the thunder means nothing. I'm not saying that to force your cooperation, see for yourself,” he handed me a device and I scrolled through it. Truly there wasn't anything new added to the list of doom. But I wasn't reassured. If anything, I wanted to jump out of the window and run!“Doom doesn't present itself to its receivers,” I said as I placed the device in the cup holder. Lawrence's grip on the steering wheel tightened in a scary manner.“Whatever, we didn't come this far to back out. We're doing this,” he pulled into the temple and practically yanked me out of the car and into a side door that I didn't know existed. There was a high priestess there, she wasn't dressed in our

Tasha's POV I cowered in a corner as Lawrence paced by the window. What was he going to do to me?There was a knock on the door and he went to let whoever it was in. It was a medic.“Ma'am, I want to look over your wounds,” I stared at the woman before taking my eyes to Lawrence who gave me a nod like everything was okay between us. Like he didn't try to kill me a few days ago.“It's fine, just let her access the damage and administer treatment. She's from the academy,” like that was supposed to make me trust her with my body?“Ma'am, I don't know what you've heard of us, but we don't compromise on healthcare. The Grande Maestro explained that you both had a spare recently so I understand the distrust. But I assure you that I'm here to take care of you and not to cater to him,” there was something in her voice that made me relax a little.Maybe I just wanted this to be over with so that Lawrence can move on with his game. He never does anything that is of no benefit to him. This incl

Choice's POV I quietly reached for my glass because there's no way this bitch slipped into a seat in front of me without thinking about the consequences.Ever since she did what she did with Lawrence, I made her a solemn promise that she has abided by until now, that is.“If I ever catch you alone, no matter the place, I'll give you a face-lift and help you shed some teeth!”Those were the exact words I told her, she knows I mean it, and she has avoided every single event that I have been in attendance for over a decade. So this was quite a treat for me.“Hey, please just hear me out-” she went as far as talking to me?!Oh hell no!I first emptied my entire glass on her face before slapping her so hard that the entire bar turned to look in our direction.“Did your brain go numb with time?! Didn't I specifically tell you to never, I clearly said never! To never show yourself in my face after what you did to Lydia? Were your brain cells swapped with pudding?! Did I stutter? You all hav
