Chapter eight

POV Kristy

School goes by in a flash. After training, I decided to go visit my aunt in the clinic. My aunt is the pack's doctor and runs the clinic. I always dreamed of being a doctor. Even though I know that’s not going to happen, I still enjoy going to the clinic. My aunt lets me help with small things. Ever since I was a teenager I have been pulling thorns out of some of the wolves who fell into them. Mostly kids. When I wasn’t able to help I was in the clinic's library. I found it fascinating. Our body’s, both wolf and human. So many similarities yet so different.

I walk into my aunt's office. She’s sitting at her desk doing some paperwork. As I walk in she looks up.

“Hello, sweetheart,” she says with a smile.

“Hi” I go sit in front of her on the patient's chair.

“How have you been, haven’t seen you in a while. “

“I'm okay. Dad grounded me"

“Why? What did you do?" she chuckles.

“I went for a run at night and crossed the border"

“Well, that’s not real
