Chapter nineteen
"Axel? Axel? Where are you?" I walk in the front door of what Axel calls the packhouse. I need to tell him to cancel everything. I can't do this.
"I am here. Why so loud? You know that we can hear better than humans can right? Everything okay?" Axel comes rushing out of his office rubbing his ears. When I realize the house is filled with pack members getting everything ready for the ceremony. I can feel my cheeks heat up from their eyes staring at me."No, it's not okay we need to talk." I know whisper to him, not that there is a point to it now that the whole house is looking at us. Waking up I feel reborn. Like I am a whole new person. Well, I kind of am. I get dressed and head downstairs to the kitchen where I found Axel and his beta Hunter I think his name is. POV Axel "INSIDE NOW" I order Kristy. I didn't want to use my Alpha aura on her but she left me no choice. It is not safe. I watch her get inside knowing Ester will lock the doors properly. POV Axel Two days after the attack. I wake up with a massive headache and my insides are burning. I look around and find I am not in my bedroom. I see Kristy sitting on a chair sleeping when I realize I am in the clinic. I must have passed out. It is dark outside. How long have I been out? The last thing I remember was Hunter ripping a wolf apart and seeing Ester lifeless on the floor. I try to get up and see that I am hooked up to an IV. Kristy wakes up to me startling around. POV AxelWe arrive at the clinic and walk over to the building behind the clinic. That is where the labs are."Where are we going?" Kristy asks."To the labs, it is right behind the clinic." It looks a bit sketchy the building is old and the path towards it is overgrown with plants. This place needs a renovation, as do a lot of buildings around the pack. Wich, I have been avoiding. Renovations cost a lot of money and time and right now it is not a priority to me. We need to find these wolves and figure out why they keep attacking us. POV Kristy.We walk inside of the packhouse and the smell of alcohol and something burned to meet my nostrils. We walk into the kitchen and find Hunter burning pictures."What are you doing?" Axels calls out and puts out the fire the pictures created in the sink. Hunter just stares at it he looks dumb and drunk."Why would you burn those pictures?" Axel asks but no answer."I think he needs to sleep it off," I tell Axel while I wave my hand in front of Hunter's eyes, and still no reaction. He doesn't even blink. Axel Grabs Hunter's arm and drags him towards the stairs only for Hunter to get out of his grip and turn around. He walks over to the living room and we follow behind him wondering what he is planning on doing. He lets himself fall face down on the couch and instantly starts snoring."That's fine I guess?" I look at Axel and he shrugs. We walk back into the kitchen and I grab a glass of orange juice before turning to Axel.

Axel POV I tell Kristy to run when I see her father grab her arm before I sink my claws in his side. He instantly lets her arm go and shifts to his wolf. I see my man and his coming from all angles. "Get Kristy home" I mindlink Hunter. I want her to be safe I can handle her father. I growl at Jack who was now standing in front of me in wolf form showing his teeth. He lashes at my throat but Onyx blocks him and hits him in the face with his paw. In the corner of my eye, I see Hunter and Kristy Heading for the car. Jack sinks his claws in my shoulder when I got distracted for a second making me focus on him again. I sink my canines in his shoulder and my claws in his side and toss him against the big tree. I notice the bag with the books and I can tell Onyx was thinking the same thing he grabs the bag and makes a run for it. Today I can finally start training the women of our pack. I am so excited. I got up early this morning and I am now setting everything up on the training field. I love the cold morning breeze on my skin. The smell of fresh-cut grass as I stand on the big field. It is still dark out since it is only 6 a.m. Training starts at 7 and all women between ages 18 and 40 are allowed to train. I think it is stupid that Axel only wants certain ages to train but it is a start. I am counting the boxing gloves I got yesterday and I hope I bought enough. I also got a couple of punching bags. I am not completely sure where I want to go with training today, but at least starting with basics in human form. Later on, we will move on from wolf to human and wolf to wolf. I am used to not training with any gear but wanted to start with letting them train with gear so that they can get used to training. My father used to say "When there is war they won't put on gloves". I thought it was stupid when

Axel POVDoctor Spine mind linked me that he found something we might find interesting in the books. I really hope we have more of a lead on what they are and why they keep attacking my pack. Since we are the only pack that has been under attack. My scouts are still out looking for them and their hiding spot. Last night Vince, the one in charge mind linked me that they might have a lead into the mountains. Which is not that far from us.We arrive at the clinic and I start to feel a little nervous as if something is about to happen. I have had this feeling since last night after Vince told me about the possible lead. I just hope that they will be okay. I told Vince to stand back and only observe. I am just nervous for them to get caught. Kristy must have felt my nervousness since she grabs my hand tightly as we walk over to the labs.
