Amara's POV

I picked up a simple dress from the closet. Some of my clothes were still here from the last time I stayed here. I placed it on the bed, feeling a chill run down my spine.

It had been more than a year, but it was still difficult, especially when I was alone. Now I berated myself, knowing that I intended to go to our home before. I was thankful Valerie insisted on bringing me to the pack house.
