Chapter 36

Calia opened the door of their home and was greeted by the dark and empty space of the living room. She looks around and sees a ray of light coming from the slightly opened door of the master's bedroom. Calia walks toward the door with her bag in her hand. She pulls it to her shoulders and sighed. Just as she opened the door, a man opened the door and was startled by the sight of the woman in front of him.

"Oh, you're home," he said as he walks passed by her without even giving a glance.

"Yes," Calia replied to her husband's indifferent greeting.

Aeric Rostell, Calia's husband stared at the back of the tall woman. He had a longing gaze directed to his wife. It has been a long time since they both shared a proper talk with each other. It has also been a long time since Aeric had ever shown a smile to Calia. Their marriage seems to not work anymore, although Aeric had tried his hardest to make their marriage work.
