04 - Advice from the best friend

"It's better to talk to him today..." Liv murmurs against Mia's shoulder. "No sex," she warns the girl, who laughs. Then they hear the sound of a single horn, and they know it's Kai. It's not like he's a speed demon, but every time the two of them argued, it was certain that the omega would end up at her best friend's house, and the alpha would call just to confirm if she was there, already on his way. Matsen also knows that her boyfriend won't leave without her.

Liv gets up, laughing, and grabs a pair of gray sweatpants to put on and then leads the brunette to the door. Mia grabs her backpack, throwing it over her right shoulder and waits for the other omega to get ready. Liv holds Mia's hand, pulling her out of the room. By this time, her parents must be sleeping, and the two girls try to be as quiet as possible.

"I'm not going to go easy on him," Mia says when they're halfway down the stairs. Liv nods, knowing that speech is already memorized in her head. They walk to the door, and the blue-eyed girl unlocks it and opens it.

That's when they see the true alpha leaning against the car, just waiting for his omega while smoking a cigarette. It's a habit that the brunette finds sexy, and she scolds herself for finding that man so attractive in that moment.

"Good evening, Liv. Thank you for putting up with me," Matsen thanks, giving her friend a kiss on the cheek.

"That's what friends are for," Liv smiles and bids farewell to her brunette friend, watching her become serious and walk over to the alpha. Mia doesn't look at her boyfriend and simply opens the car door, getting in and slamming it shut forcefully. Kai sighs and looks at Liv, waving gently before circling the car and getting in.

The omega shakes her head and chuckles, imagining that the next day she would see her friend limping and covered in marks on her body, along with the strong scent of Kai imprinted on her, making other alphas stay meters away from her, knowing that this omega belonged to a true alpha.

So predictable.

A sigh escapes her lips as she feels the breeze hitting her face and her whole body shivers when the familiar sensation of being watched becomes more prominent. She watches the silver car speed away and then finds herself alone on that deserted street, and the feeling of being watched becomes slightly stronger. Liv hugs her own body tightly and bites her lip, then enters with that feeling that should be uncomfortable, but wasn't quite as much.

Mia enters the house visibly irritated with the whole situation, completely ignoring her boyfriend who is following closely behind, calling her name repeatedly. Her feet lead her towards the stairs, knowing that her alpha hated being ignored and left behind, but all the she-wolf wants is some peace. When Kai is halfway up the stairs, he hears the door being slammed hard. As the omega enters the room, she throws her backpack on the floor, not caring where it ends up. Before the girl can lock the door, Kai is faster and pushes her, managing to enter the room, walking heavily towards his girlfriend and grabbing her arm with some force, forcing her to turn to face him.

"I understand that you're upset, but turning your back on me after ignoring my call and leaving me worried, wondering where you disappeared to, is too much for me. We're going to talk, and you'll be less childish and act like the adult that you are," Kai says, staring harshly at the smaller girl, his tense muscles making him overly intimidating. Mia tries to break free, but fails.

"It would be much easier if you stopped acting like a caveman and were less hypocritical. You simply pick fights with anyone who looks at me and get upset when I don't like it when some bitch who has been in your bed hits on you shamelessly," Mia raises her voice and is now truly angry about everything. She doesn't like fighting with her alpha, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

"You're confusing things. Sophia is just my secretary, we have common and important business matters to discuss, but nothing that's not related to the company," Kai tries to calmly explain to his girlfriend so that she can understand the facts. "It was nothing more than one night with her. Besides, she's engaged now, and I have you."

Mia turns her face away, feeling tears wetting her cheeks, and now she's insecure about many things, one of them being that she was once a damn prostitute, even though it wasn't by choice, but it didn't change the fact that she was, and the she-wolf was afraid that Kai had some reservations about it, since he never took her to company-related parties or anything like that. He certainly felt ashamed. Kai, on the other hand, couldn't understand his girlfriend. He could feel her insecurity coming from her and that she wasn't doing well. He then pulls the girl towards him and tries to hug her tightly, even though the brunette's hands try to push him away.

"What's going on? I know you're not okay, but we can't resolve this if we don't talk. You don't open up to me," Kai caresses the omega's black hair in an attempt to keep her calm and docile, which was proving to be a bit difficult. Having his omega in his arms made him feel helpless.

"You deserve better, Kai," Mia says with her voice choked by the tears that close her throat. "You deserve much more than someone who used to be a prostitute," she expresses all her insecurity in a low tone and sniffles afterwards. Kai tightens his hold on the omega's body with a little more force.

"Don't talk nonsense," Kai mutters, using his true alpha tone of voice, which makes the girl close her eyes tightly, shedding tears, her legs weaken, and her body trembles. "You are exactly what I want. I don't care about what you were before and what you did. Besides, if it wasn't for your past, I would have never met you. What matters now is that you are mine, and it's my mark that you're carrying," his fingers pass over the mark on her neck, larger and deeper than those of ordinary alphas.

"You're a huge idiot for wanting your name associated with a former prostitute," Mia mutters, wiping her tears away. "What's your problem? What's wrong with you for liking me of all people?" She pauses briefly and sighs, managing to pull away from Kai, and finishes wiping her tears under her alpha's watchful gaze. "But the issue here is jealousy. I want to talk to you about this unnecessary jealousy."

"Okay!" Kai runs his hand through his hair and sighs. "I get jealous, and it's natural," he admits. "I can't change that about myself. I don't want to lose you, and I don't like it when another alpha touches or looks at you... Because you're mine, and mine alone. I can kill anyone who dares to touch you, because I'm selfish enough to not know how to share you with anyone else." He says to the omega, who shivers at how firm his voice is. "The only person I don't mind so much is your friend." He refers to Liv. "But even then, I don't like it when you give her attention instead of me, but I've learned to live with it." He pauses briefly, and the alpha smiles slyly. "Do you understand? I'm a selfish asshole, but I don't give a damn, because I love you."

The smile still present on Aland's face as he approaches the girl and wraps his arms around her waist, pressing their bodies together. The girl has to stand on her tiptoes and the taller man has to bend down slightly. Kai claims the wolf's lips, not giving her a chance to resist. Completely wild, he initiates the kiss. Even though Mia thinks about refusing, she simply can't, because that man was her weakness. He seems to know better than anyone else how to tame her, so she just wraps her arms around his broad shoulders, surrendering to his kiss.

Kai undoubtedly has the best kiss she has ever experienced, his lips, despite being wild, are soft, and she feels entranced when she kisses him. It's as if nothing else exists, only Kai. Her ridiculously hot alpha. However, Aland didn't let the kiss last, breaking it off shortly after. His forehead was now resting against hers, and he could look into her honey-colored eyes.

"I want you to have my last name, just to make everything official and let everyone know that you're mine," Kai says in a low whisper, but the brunette hears it, and her eyes widen in surprise at the unexpected request.

Kai wants to marry her.
