Chapter 22

"I think this should be pending for now, I have some things to sort out before looking into it." Reid whispered to his father.

The elderly man didn't get it, his son was supposed to be excited that the documents are ready, not postponing the actions they're supposed to take.

"Is anything the matter Reid?" Mr Blake drew back his son's attention. Reid turned back, he was already on the stairs. "You don't need to panic, it's something I can handle by myself." He replied and walked upstairs.

He was indoors contacting the hackers and investigators he knew just to get proof that his wife was innocent. At night, he managed to wash up and put on his nightwear, pacing round his room in thought, while filling his stomach with whisky.

He was missing her badly. No one to talk to or play with. The world seemed upside down without her by his side, everywhere was empty due to her absence.

"This wasn't how I planned it, Anna. I wanted to smack your ass and tell you how sexy you are. I even took a sho
