LOGINAuthor's POV
Emerald was still thinking about the handsome man she saw yesterday. His gorgeous face was flashing in front of her.
"Why are you smiling?"
Ruby asked when she saw that she was not focused on breakfast.
"I saw a man yesterday. I liked him."
Emerald replied, placing her spoon down.
"Very good! Who's the poor guy?"
Ruby chuckled.
"I'll show him to you if he comes in front of me again..."
Emerald replied dreamily.
"Okay, I'll be busy today... I need to work on important project so I am locking up myself in my cabin... You need to handle the office today, especially Kathani because she has a very important presentation today..."
Ruby explained.
"This client is very important so make sure she doesn't fuck up..."
"So I am the boss today?"
She smirked.
"For a day!"
Ruby warned.
Emerald shrugged.
"It will be fun! Anyways, I am done stalking the man I like."
Ruby didn't pay attention to her.
"You should check on Kathani, she must be nervous today."
"Okay!"
She cheered up and left.
Ruby sighed behind her.
"God knows what trouble she is going to make today."
Emerald went out to check for the girl, she was walking out when she saw someone entering inside and smiled when she noticed it's Egon.
She stood there in his way as he walked towards her unknowingly, he was looking at his phone.
Emerald admired the aura again, the dark black suit, focused posture and glow on the face. She was spellbounded again.
Egon was coming inside with Ron to approve the job himself. The expectation was to meet Ruby but someone else was going to meet him.
He was unaware of who is standing in his way until he looked up and his stomach churned, heart picked up the race and numbness slowly spread into his limps.
She was in front of him, in blood and flesh. Same glow, royal face, queen attitude and dangerous calmness. His Queen!
He was about to shatter but he controlled himself and walked past her, without reacting and it was more difficult than swallowing poision.
Emerald breathed in his scent as he walked past her and sighed in satisfaction.
Egon took a deep breath as he crossed her and her familiar scent tried to drag him back, it awakened the storm again.
He went to the meeting room and sat down to calm himself down, she wasn't supposed to be here. Watching her after so long was taking toll on his sanity.
He wanted to leave but he was also greedy to be around her for some time. The emotions were in turmoil
Emerald on other hand smirked.
"Pray itself walked into the trap. Interesting!"
Ruby on other hand got to know that Egon is here and her blood ran cold. She ran out to hide Emerald but her staff told her that Egon already saw her.
She rushed to meet Egon.
Meanwhile, Emerald found Kathani crying in washroom.
"Girl, why are you crying like you got to know your death time."
The girl was shaking.
"You have a presentation in 5 minutes."
Kathani leaned against the basin counter.
"You can say that. I am too scared to present in front of Mr. Bismarck... You have no idea how I have designed his house, it felt like I am keeping my life on platter in front of him... Ruby told me that he won't be there for presentation so I was confident but he is here. I can't do this. He will kill me if he doesn't like it... Thousands of changes are already made."
"Then tell Ruby to present it!"
Emerald suggested. She is still unaware why she doesn't feel sympathy when someone cry in front of her.
"Ruby doesn't know about this design... And she will think I am not capable."
She was crying hard.
"I am stuck!"
Emerald saw that she was struggling to breathe.
"I'll do it!"
Kathani looked at her shocked.
"You? But you are too rude for him... He will definitely snap at you..."
Emerald smirked.
"Will he? Let's see!"
Kathani followed her worriedly but she also knows that Emerald is a bitch herself, she can survive Egon's wrath.
"You know the concept, right?"
Emerald scowled.
"I know what work you do, Kathani... Now shut up and follow me!"
Ruby was standing in front of Egon.
"King... I___"
Egon looked at her helplessly.
"Keep her away from my eyes___"
Before he could complete, Emerald barged in. She doesn't even knock. Kathani was close behind her.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen!"
She looked at Egon's stiff back.
Ruby's heart skipped a beat when she saw Emerald.
"What are you doing here?"
Emerald looked at her scared face bored.
"God, Ruby. I'll throw a party if I ever see you relaxed and not trembling like a bunny... I am giving presentation on behalf of Kathani, she is not well."
Egon closed his eyes as his heart hammered at her voice, the beats were too loud for him to not feel. This is what he was avoiding.
Ruby looked at Egon's face and looked at Emerald again.
"You don't have to do it. I'll do it..."
"Why?"
Emerald questioned arrogantly.
"Because___"
Ruby wiped her sweaty face. She was stuck between them.
"Because you have other important things to do... Leave it to me!"
Emerald smirked, she loves when someone ask her not to do it and she does exactly that. She was under impression that Ruby is trying to protect her from Egon but she wanted to touch the fire.
"No! I'll do it.
Ruby never felt so helpless. She rubbed her forehead when Emerald stepped in front of Egon.
"Do you have any problem with it, Egon?"
She placed the file in front of him and asked while looking at his face.
Everyone's mouth dropped when she called him by his name without any respectful words with it.
Egon opened his eyes and met directly to her emerald orbs, the tsunami of locked up emotions flared up in his heart.
Emerald watched those deep and mysterious grey eyes, fascinated to read them more. She felt some weird emotions when she saw him closely.
He felt familiar, she couldn't point out why.
She has seen it somewhere, those deep eyes, those mischievous lips and this breathtaking face. Everything felt familiar.
"I asked you something, handsome!"
She breathed out as he kept staring at her blankly.
Author’s POVYears had passed, yet time had failed to soften the legacy of Egon and Emerald. Their empire was stronger than ever, feared by the underworld, respected by allies, untouched by enemies. Author's POV No one in the criminal underworld, not a even single soul would have ever imagined this day would arrive. Not in this lifetime at least. If someone had dared to suggest that Egon Bismarck, the infamous Mafia King, the man whose silence was deadlier than gunfire would one day stand at an altar… waiting for his bride? They would’ve been mocked.Ridiculed.Shot for their stupidity. And if anyone had claimed that the Queen, the woman forged from violence, vengeance, and unbreakable will walk down an aisle in a breathtaking gown, ready to offer her heart to the man she once swore to ruin?People would’ve placed bets on her blood before her vows.Yet here they were! Not predators circling each other anymore.Just two villains in love, a love that should’ve destroyed them long before it saved them. And the world had absolutely no idea what to do with that.Every major crime lord, assassin syndicate, cartel head, and underground monarch filled the cathed
Author's POV Egon held her like a man who had been starving for years and finally had something warm in his arms again. His arms tightened around her lazy morning frame, almost too tightly, as if she might dissolve into thin air the second he loosened his grip.“To be honest,” his voice came out low, a confession dragged straight from the center of his chest, “I thought you would never accept me again.”His thumb brushed her waist in slow circles — a habit he developed long before, one that never truly died.“I still don’t feel deserving of you,” he admitted, the words cracking slightly, “even though I’m selfish enough to not let you go.”Emerald’s answer came not through words at first, but through the way she burrowed even closer, nuzzling into the warmth of him like she was trying to sink into his bones. There was no fear, no hesitation — just a quiet, hungry comfort she had missed far more than she had expected.“I was in the same dilemma,” she murmured. She tilted her head to me
Author's POV Rafael had been too calm-too smug-when he asked her, "Are you ready to meet the real you?"There was something hidden behind that tone... something sharp, something calculated. Emerald should have protested. She should have pushed back. But at that moment, she was willing to walk into fire if it meant finding out who she really was.Rafael placed a naked sword on the table.A heavy, gleaming blade with a history soaked into its metal."Seen one of these before?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Wanna touch?"Emerald's brows pulled together. She knew that question wasn't innocent. Nothing Rafael did was ever innocent. But the curiosity inside her was louder than the warning bells. She stepped forward and traced a finger along the blade-slowly, thoughtfully. She couldn't imagine the things Rafael had used this sword for.She wasn't sure she wanted to imagine."Ohh... who do we have here?"The voice behind her made her turn sharply.Another man stood there. Strikingl
Author's POV The ocean was about to witness their reunion again.Egon’s lips crashed onto hers with a hunger that had been rotting in his chest for far too long. It wasn’t a kiss — it was a claim, a scream, a desperate pull of two halves that had been cut apart and finally slammed back together. Emerald clutched his shirt with trembling fingers, dragging him impossibly closer, like she wanted to pull him under her skin.He groaned into her mouth, a raw, broken sound that betrayed every night he spent missing her. His body pressed into hers as the waves curled around them, cool on their skin, nothing compared to the heat rising between them. Her hands cupped his jaw, fingers shaking as they memorised him again — the stubble, the sharp lines, the warmth that had once been her home.“Egon…” she whispered against his lips, breath trembling. He closed his eyes like her voice hurt him. “Say it again,” he murmured, forehead resting on hers. “I’ve forgotten how to breathe without it.”She di
Author's POV Egon had abandoned the island castle long ago. Every stone, every hallway, every echo of that place carried the weight of what had been done to them—every wound they endured, every injustice that had carved itself into their story. Without Emerald beside him, the castle had become a living ghost, suffocating him with memories he wasn’t strong enough to face.So he had walked away.Yet today, he stood in front of it again. The familiar walls stared back at him like they recognised him—like they remembered the man who once ruled them. And standing there now, the past scraped against his heart like broken glass, burning through the thin layer of hope he was clinging to.Emerald wanted to talk. But she wanted to talk here.In front of the castle that had shaped everything between them.He didn’t understand what she had in mind, and that uncertainty was eating him alive. His hope had been dying since last night. She had avoided his touch entirely, like even his closeness felt
