AIDEN’s POV.

For three days, I’ve gotten nothing—no trace of Selena, no signs of foul play, no clue where she went.

Everyone searched, and everyone failed.

That’s why I’m here.

Damian swore he didn’t have her, but I needed to see it myself. When it came to Selena, I didn’t compromise. I could’ve had my men storm his territory, but I gave him one last chance to be civil. I wasn’t going to let anyone say I used her disappearance as an excuse to destroy him.

From the window, everything in his pack looked… normal. Too normal. Maybe he was telling the truth.

The door creaked open. Damian stepped in—thinner, paler, exhausted. Sick, maybe. Not that I cared.

“I didn’t know you were coming,” he rasped. “You could’ve called, Alpha King.”

“You’re in no shape to travel anywhere,” I said, eyes narrowing. “You look ready to drop dead.”

His jaw tightened, but he stayed silent.

“Selena—” I began.

“I told you I don’t have her,” he snapped. “Yet you still came. Do you not trust me?”

I scoffed. “Trust

KOURTNEY’s POV.“Arghhh!!” I screamed in anger as I threw everything off the vanity table. Damian’s words were still ringing in my head. He was more concerned about her than my son. How dare he do that to me? After everything I have done for him. After everything we have been through together. What the heck does Selena have that I do not have? Why does he always act like she was the best thing that happened to him?The more I thought about it, the more furious I became.I was staring at my own reflection in the mirror and right now I look like I could kill her if given the permission. Damian was supposed to be in Moscow for three days and I had already planned what I would do to that bitch in three days. I wanted to make her life a living hell but then I got an intel that Damian was back and I had to switch. When it came to Selena, I always acted carefully. When my mother called out to me earlier about Selena holding a knife to my son, I didn’t panic because I knew she was too scared t

DAMIAN’s POV.Our flight landed in Moscow but all through the journey to the meeting, my mind was fixated on her. I didn’t want to leave her alone all by herself but I also couldn’t miss this meeting. Kourtney promised me she would take care of her but my mind was still not settled. I had a feeling she was going to do something stupid. She couldn’t be fully trusted but then again, I couldn’t leave the meeting alone. I was needed here just as much as she needed me too.“Alpha!” Marcus called out, jolting me out of my train of thought, “you seem lost in thought. What’s going on?”“How long do we have to stay here?”“We leave for New York the day after tomorrow,” he answered. That response didn’t settle well with me. I didn’t want to stay here until then, I wanted to be close to her and make sure she doesn’t run away.“Let’s reschedule” I told him, not leaving any room for arguments, “we will leave for New York after this meeting. We can have the rest via a zoom meeting”Marcus’s forehea

AIDEN’s POV. I walked into the room, my eyes drank in the sight of everything and my heart broke again. Her dreams were all packed up here and she was somewhere—somewhere I haven’t been able find out yet. It’s been almost a week but my Luna was nowhere to be found. I have never felt as incapable as I have been feeling for days now. I picked up the glass of wine and chugged down the entire contents again. The whisky burned my throat but it was better than the pain burning in my heart. The door creaked open and Pete sauntered in, his forehead curving into a frown when he saw what I was doing. He walked over to the table and picked up the glass of whisky, taking it back to the wine rack. “Since when did you become a fan of alcohol, alpha?” He asked. “I am trying to clear my head, Pete” I told him, leaning against the table, “tell me, why have you come though? I thought I asked you to keep an eye on them?” “Elias insists on seeing you” he said, “he wouldn’t eat anything until he see

SELENA’s POV. Kourtney took a step back as the slap landed on her face—a look of surprise flashed through her face. She was not expecting the slap and I didn’t plan to slap her too but the fact that she could do what she did sent me over the edge. How could someone be so callous and not even feel remorse about it. She was also a woman, she should feel the same way I was feeling but no, she would rather be a lying and a sneaky little bitch. I hated her, I hated her so much more than I hated madam Rose and her husband. Before I could recover from the slap I had just melted out, Kourtney grabbed me by the hair and tossed me towards the bed. I fell on my stomach and panic immediately crept in. My baby! Panic gripped me! What if something happens to it? I wanted to clutch my stomach but I didn’t—I didn’t want her to get any idea about my baby. Before I could recover from that, she grabbed my hair again and yanked me up—her face was a few inches away from mine and I could see anger brim

SELENA’s POV. I wasn’t sure what she used on me but I couldn’t move for an entire day. It felt like I was paralyzed, I just laid on that bed staring at the ceiling until I slept off but the moment I woke up—I felt okay again except for the pain lingering in my muscles. I could move my legs and even stand up. I wasn’t sure why Kourtney would do that but one thing was for sure—she was out to get me and get me really good. Grace brought my breakfast as usual and this time I ate. With a baby growing inside of me, my appetite had multiplied but I was glad no one took notice of that except Marcus. He promised me he was not going to tell anyone and I believed him—he was someone who kept to his words, I have seen that first hand. I haven’t seen him since we had that conversation and I was glad, I had nothing to tell him. I didn’t even answer his question when he asked who owned the baby, it was not in his place to know anything about me or my baby. My train of thought was interrupted when
