Finding The One Or Two.

Alpha Felix- POV

I was sitting in the councils chambers, waiting patiently to be seen.

Me and my brother Axel had been here for an hour. I was becoming agitated, we had a pack to run and here we were being forced into something neither of us wanted.

I stood up from my chair and began walking to the receptionist to see how much longer it would be.

Before I could talk to the woman I heard someone making whistling sounds from behind me

*whistling noises continue*

I looked slowly over my shoulder at my brother arching my brow.

“Sorry, Im anxious.” He smiled sheepishly.

I rolled my eyes turning back to face the receptionist .

“Do you know how much longer this is going to take? We have a pack to run! This is unacceptable. We had an appointment 30 minutes ago.”

The small woman with large glasses looked up at me scared. I watched as she pushed her glasses up her face before frantically picking up the phone dialing someone.

“Alright Sir…… I… I mean Alpha… Felix they’ll see you in just a moment.” The receptionist stuttered out.

“Thank you.” I sighed walking back over to my seat before I scared the poor woman anymore.

We are here today because we are 20 and unmated as Alphas, this wasn’t good for a large pack such as ares.

We needed our true mate to become stronger. The only issues is, the council is now trying to push us to take a chosen mate.

It has been 2 years and they say we have waited enough.

The council didn’t normally get involved with such matters but because we have one of the 2nd largest packs homing over 500 pack members we needed to be at our strongest.

My brother and myself didn’t need or want to take a chosen mate. We had attended several mating balls at the Opal Moon Kingdom since becoming of mating age.

Our best friend Ally, was who they wanted to become our mate. We grew up with her and I knew she would make a great Luna, just not for me and my brother.

She was strong, smart and well accustom to the Luna roll because of my mother.

Ally’s father owned several different flower shops through out our pack. He sold many rare flowers for healing and spells.

My mother Helena would visit his flower shops often bringing my father some of these rare flowers to help with pack matters.

She met Ally there when she was 8 watching her help her father wrapping up flowers for customers.

Since then my mother fell in love with the young girl and began allowing the her to visit our pack house often, she quickly became good friends with us.

My mother and father never knew if we would share a mate or not we were twins and it was extremely rare.

The council had agreed when we were born that if we shared the same mate we could rule together.

But if we each had different mates, whoever had gotten there mate first would become Alpha.

I looked over at my brother Axel he was nervously biting his nails and tapping his foot.

“Do you think they’ll bring it up again.”

We both already knew the answer to that but I knew he was nervous so I answered anyway.

My brother Axel looked just like me with his black hair although his was a little longer then mine. I had shaven sides and a little big longer hair on the top . We both have blue eyes and we stroked at 6’5.

While he was a bit softer and funnier. The romantic our friends called him. I was a bit more realistic, I had a hard exterior and which often led woman to believe they could fix me.

I didn’t need fixing I stayed the way I was because this was the only way you could run a pack. If people thought you let others run over you, your pack would be left weak and saw as a push over.

Our pack was to large to allow such a thing.

“Yes Axel, that is why we are here. We need to remain calm and set the tone when we enter.”

Axel stood up straighter now masking his face with a bored look.

“I know, it’s just I really wanna wait to find our goddess given mate. Do they really think they can defy the moon goddess and just make us pick Ally.

We both knew they had no right to decide for us and we are making that known today.

I looked to the side of the receptionist desk hearing a loud bang watching as the door opened up.

Me and my brother stood quickly wondering what was going on.

I watched as a mousy looking woman burst through the door holding it open.

She was rather short for a wolf, but appeared young she had short black wavy hair with brown eyes.

“I am Lady Ramona, it’s nice to meet you Alpha Felix, Alpha Axel.” She giggled wobbling a little.

I lifted my brow staring at her expressionless.

“Like wise, It’s nice to finally put a face to the name.” I said taking in the scene unfolding infront of me.

Two men ran to her side looking anoyyed grabbing her by the wrist.

“We are extremely sorry, for um…this? It’s quite unprofessional but she had a bit of a good time last night at the witches brew, and thoughs drinks keeps you feeling good for a while we have all learned.”

One of the gentleman said bowing to us.

I could hear my wolf blade snickering in my head. I mind linked my brother as I was tired of this already.

“What is going on with these people, they are supposed to be some of the strongest in our world and they act like this.”

I could hear my brother howling in laughter.

“Come on Felix I guess even the strongest need a break, but this is pretty comical”.

I rolled my eyes at them all was I really the only professional one here.

A tall, muscular man with black peppered hair cleared his throat pushing the other two council members into the room before speaking.

“Alpha Felix, Alpha Axel. I am councilman William. There is no excuse for this behavior today, If you Alphas would follow us into our chamber we can proceed”.

We all entered the council’s chambers. We watched as the three of them took a seat behind 3 large desk it was a very large room with gold pillars and red walls lined in more gold, they had some old ancient artifacts decorated throughout the room.

We took stood near the middle of all there desk waiting to start.

We listened as the other councilman began speaking he had brown hair and green eyes with a sharp jaw line, he was tall and muscular like my brother and myself.

“Again, we apologize profusely about this Alphas we have had some urgent matters going on and I for one needed a slight break from it all. I am Jasper.”

He smiled broadly at me and my brother.

My brother began taking a step forward towards the council.

“Yes, well we are here now, is there anything you would like assistance with regarding these urgent matters.”

We all whipped our heads in the direction of Lady Ramona hearing her in a fit of giggles.

“Well Alphas we were actually hoping you would be bringing us good new? hopefully a Luna ceremony is coming soon, correct.”

She stood up from her desk stumbling a little watching us with wonder in her eyes.

Lady Ramona came around the desk walking towards us. She walked around my brother looking intently at his neck for a mating mark.

We watched her in dismay as she began circling me next looking disappointed.

“With all do respect ma’am, we are trying to take things slow. This isn’t something to take lightly. You are having us go against the moon goddess. While you have appointed a Luna to us there are still some things we are all trying to work out.”

We all watched Lady Ramona head back in the direction of her desk looking sad.

Councilman William looked down towards us looking as if he was offended.

“Well Alphas, thoughs problems better be worked out soon. We have been gracious giving you such a wonderful mate. One would believe you are acting greedy. Not all wolves are blessed by the moon goddess finding their true mate. You two should consider yourselves lucky.”

“We don’t feel lucky” I heard my brother whisper lowly. I gave him a stern look before looking back at the council.

Councilman Jasper sighed before speaking to us.

“Look Alphas, we are simply trying to help. We know everyone wants there goddess given mate but we can’t wait around forever. There is to much at stake here. With that we expect to have you fully mated and with a Luna by the end of next week.”

We both growled lowly watching as they began to rise from their seats leaving us.

My wolf Blade was furious at the council, I was beginning to struggle a little trying not to shift right there.

We already had so much on our plates. We have had rogue attacks occurring every month, somehow getting past our borders, undetected and stealing omegas.

It wasn’t just us though it was happening to a lot of packs in our region.

Our pack business was also expanding, my brother and me were working on a new tracking devise that would go undetected against all super natural beings.

It would raise a lot of money for our pack and help expand it in more ways than one. We needed to tell our father soon so he could help with the launch.

Our grandfather was the creator and owner of the company we now own. It’s named Blackfur security after our last name. It was the top security company amongst the supernatural.

It helped excel our pack back when he was Alpha and then when our father took over he had invented other various security devices and systems helping our back grow even more.

Now it was time for me and my brother to do our part helping our pack grow in ways no one else had.
