Broken Mate.

Alpha Axels POV-

I walked out of the councils building with my brother beside me.

I knew it was going to be a late night but I was hungry and needed food before making the long drive back to our pack.

We had jets that could get us there quicker but me and my brother enjoyed the scenery some days.

I was in deep thought walking into a nearby pizza parlor with my brother.

Listening to the bell ring we were greeted by a flirty waitress.

“Welcome to Pete’s Pizza handsome, can I take your order.” She said leaning over the counter with her cleavage spilling out.

Human woman were always flirting with us, it was no lie that our kind was gifted in many areas but being hot was one of them I guess.

My brother just rolled his eyes not amused. I was the kinder one though so I smiled brightly at her.

“ Yes, thank you could we get 2 large slices of your triple meat pizza.”

We werewolves had to keep up with our calories since we burned them very fast.

She smiled back seductively at me before ringing up our order. “Coming right up, handsome.”

Me and my brother sat near the back corner waiting for our pizza to be done. I sighed thinking about the councils ruling.

“I don’t think I can do this Felix. I know you’ve always tolerated Ally more, knowing she would make a great Luna but she’s not MY Luna. Ours is out there somewhere and she would be crushed if she knew we took someone else and didn’t wait.”

My brother looked up at me with a rather relaxed expression.

“We have rules to uphold brother, you know we can’t disobey the council it would reflect badly on our pack. But look I’ve already been the one dating Allie for months now just to keep the council thinking they’ve won we have to make them believe until we find her.”

I was furious why were they pushing so hard for this, somthing wasn’t adding up what did they know?

The waitress from earlier brought us our food and we stood up to leave. I noticed she had written her number on a napkin and slipped it in the box.

We walked back to our car greeting one of our pack warriors as he was holding the door for us. We slid into our seats ready to start our long journey back to our pack.

“I know we need to play it off, but what if we find her and it’s too late because we had already marked and mated Ally.”

My brother was finishing up his pizza, staring out the window.

“Axel, I’m sorry, the only thing we can do is push it back a little longer and come up with an excuse to tell them.”

Me and my wolf Kyros growled as we were agitated at his answer.

We sat in the car silent the rest of the ride home.

We had finally made it to our pack house, pulling up the driveway.

Our pack house was 6 story’s it was bigger then the normal pack house but we had so many omega’s and unmated pack member so we needed the extra room.

Our the driver pulled in he stepped out of the vehicle to come open our doors letting us out. He bowed his head to us as we stepped out of the vehicle.

We watched as our Beta Lex came out of the house to greet us.

“Hey! There’s my favorite Alpha twins! How did it go guys?”

He had that same goofy smile he always wore on his face.

Lex was our dad’s gammas son and our best friend, he was African-American, he had short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was tall and muscular like me and my brother, truthfully he gave us a run for our money in pack training.

He was a great beta, strong, calculated but also a funny guy he was always chipper like me.

“Will speak later Lex, I’m exhausted.”

I began to walk towards the pack house patting Lex shoulder before I went in leaving Felix with him.

Alpha Felix POV-

“What about you man, wanna hangout? Have a drink maybe?”

feeling more tired than usual I had to decline.

“Not tonight Lex, it’s been a long day I’m just going to work on some last minute paper work before heading to bed.”

Lex just smiled and nodded at me.

“Alright man, Well I’m gonna go help patrol tonight around the pack border. Gotta stay on our toes with these rogue attacks.”

I walked passed Lex heading into the pack house. I started to climb the stairs to the first floor which held mine and Axels offices.

I made it to my office opening the door, I made my way to my desk ready to go over some inte” I had gatherd regarding the attacks on all of our packs.

I hadn’t had the chance to tell my brother yet, as there was so much going on but I would soon.

It was some man who called himself the “Rogue King.” He has caused a lot of issues within our packs kidnapping omegas some how getting by all of our security as if he knew how everything was laid out.

We had only ever caught one of the rouges but he killed himself before we got him in our grasp.

We didn’t really know what he wanted, rather it was for power or there was a bigger problem at play here we needed to find out quick.

Some of the smaller packs would be wiped out soon if we didn’t send some of our warriors to help them.

I sighed looking up at my clock an hour had passed and I really hadn’t gotten anywhere readying these reports.

I had only found two packs that seemed suspicious. The Blazing Moon Pack and…

My thoughts were disrupted when I received a mind link from my Beta Lex.

“Alpha, I just received info from one of the warriors at the border to the west they scented a rogue near by. Do you want them to take them down?”

My wolf blade began to stir within me and pace around my mind. Maybe he was feeling restless from the car ride and needed out.

“Tell them to keep an eye on the scent but don’t let them know you’re near just but don’t engage. I’ll link Axel and have him help me”.

With that I cut the link and made my way to the front of the pack house.

Alpha Axels POV

I was lying in bed feeling restless, my wolf Kyros was going crazy in my mind I didn’t know what was going on with him.

I began to sit up from my bed deciding on taking a shower in hopes that would help

But then I received a link from my brother.

“Axel, there’s a rouge to the west of our pack border, we need to take care of it, I feel like we can grab it quicker before it harms itself and we can finally get some new info.”

He cut the link quick not letting me respond, I was tired but I knew we needed this break.

I stood up from my bed walking over to my dresser throwing on some shorts keeping it light.

The weather out was freezing sense we were in December now, but luckily being a wolf we stayed warm.

I quickly made my way down the elevator and out to the front of the pack house were Felix was waiting.

My brother looked over at me with an odd expression on his face.

“Is kyros acting strange to you or is it just my wolf?”

I thought for a second before speaking. “Yeah he is acting strange but I just thought he was feeling restless.”

“So is Blade, we need to be on high alert something is off. I’ll link Lex when we get there to send some more warriors out just in case.”

We both made our ways out into the woods shifting effortlessly shaking out our black fur, we looked at each other nodding our heads ready to take off.

Felix’s wolf Blade was the first one to take off, but my wolf Kyros was quickly gaining up on his side.

After a while we finally made it the west side of our pack territory. We stopped, lifting our snots to the air sniffing unable to scent the rouge.

We both shifted back into our human sides for a moment.

Felix was mind linking Lex to bring more warriors to scout the area.

I looked over at my brother when the cold air began to whip past us again. I smelt an intoxicating smell, like fresh rain and lavender.

I really liked the smell of lavender it always calmed me, it had such a unique smell. My mom had the gardens plant some in her garden when I was younger because how much I liked it.

My eyes widened in shock. “Do you smell that Felix.”

My wolf Kyros started going crazier in my head howling mate.

He sniffed the air and stilled. “It cant be..”

We both shifted back into our wolves quick making a beeline for that intoxicating smell.

We crept slowly between some bushes listening for others around when we heard someone whimpering and talking to themselves.

I could smell blood strongly on the rouge, I crept forward snapping some branches.

When we moved into the clearing we stopped in our tracks.

“MATE, SHES HURT GO TO HER! HELP MATE!”

My wolf Kyros started screaming in my head.

“Felix, it’s our mate… she’s badly hurt.” I mind linked my brother.

Blade looked over at me whimpering. My brother linked me back angry.

“Why does she smell like a rouge, what did she do?”

She was so beautiful unlike anything I had ever scene. She looked so fragile and small.

Her hair looked so long it was light brown. I kept tracing her features as if she would disappear.

I looked into her eyes they were these striking green orbs. she had the prettiest pouty lips and her body was beyond perfect.

I started to growl realizing she was naked. It was freezing out here where was her clothes. It scared her more, she looked petrified.

She started swaying falling over onto the ground passing out.

“Shit” me and my brother linked at the same time.

We both quickly shifted back running up to our mate, I scooped her up trying to keep her warm
