Hard Times At School.

It’s my last year of high school and I’ve done well keeping up with my grades so I can graduate.

I’ve managed to stay hidden without any problems so far and I pray to the moon goddess it stays that way.

Cain and Sarah make it their goal to pick on me any chance they get, making school harder but I won’t have to deal with them much longer I kept telling myself.

I just need to focus on my plan to leave. If I can’t stick it out until after my birthday I found out I can get my GED online.

Besides I have no wolf and I'm tortured and bullied everyday. The whole pack has treated me horribly just for being an omega and wolf-less.

Sure I had two amazing friends but I couldn’t live this life anymore.

I could only hope my parents would be proud of me for wanting to get away and do better.

I was constantly worried though because when you turn 18 you could find your mate. But I don’t have a wolf so would I even get one I wondered.

A mate is your goddess given soul mate the other half of you. If something ever happened to them you would know.

It would be like someone ripping your heart out, slowly killing you the pain of losing your mate was unimaginable.

We couldn't survive without our mates unless for some reason the moon goddess blessed us with another mate.

It was almost unheard of to get a second chance though.

You would know who your mate was by there unique scent and when you touched your mate you would feel these pleasurable sparks all over your body.

I sighed. Looking in the direction of my first period class. Luckily Willow was in this class with me.

I walked into the classroom and quickly found Willow sitting in the front.

I sat at the desk beside her, pulling out my assistant for the day.

“Hey star, Luna Athena wants us in her office after school, it can't be anything good, she seemed a little to excited this morning”

“That cruel woman is never happy when it comes to us, It definitely can't be anything good, it usually isn't with her.” I rolled my eyes feeling annoyed trying to think of all the possible reasons Luna Athena would actually want us.

Maybe it has something to do with Cains party I thought.

I looked up from my desk sensing someone was heading towards me and Willow.

Sarah and her group of friends were heading straight for me and willow.

“Well if it isn’t moon! How are you doing wolfie? Oh… wait. You don't have one. so that reminds me why are you even here? you’re just worthless trash. When I become Luna you will be the first one kicked out of this pack.”

Her friends looked down at me snickering. I watched Sarah expressionless not showing any emotion.

“You can't just kick a member of the pack out for no reason, there are rules Sarah. Besides Star hasn’t done anything. You’re just being a jealous bitch.”

I watched Sarah’s face morph into anger as she lifted her freshly manicured nails pointing at Willow.

Normally I don't fall into Sarah’s petty traps but today I was just not having it.

“What the fuck did you just call me, you…”

I cut Sarah off immediately feeling the anger bubbling up inside of me.

“Look sarah, I get it. You’re so desperate for friends that you can only make shity jokes and make fun of people to like you, but deep down you’re just a nasty bitch and a cunt. How about you fuck off today.”

Sarah was fuming from the way I had just talked to her. I didn’t normally say anything back to her knowing it wasn’t worth the trouble. I knew she was shocked.

“How dare you, you wolf less bitch! You just wait until Cain hears about this! I will have you dragged to the cells myself and killed when I’m Luna”.

I rolled my eyes at her and her weak attempt at name calling. I was used to those names by now. She really should come up with something better if she wants to get under my skin.

“You say that but wait until his real mate comes along and you are kicked to the side like the slutty side piece you really are”

As if things couldn't get worse, Cain walked in. I instantly paled he usually chose to skip first period to train since he would be Alpha soon.

“Oh thank goddess you’re here babe! This bitch moon over here is being disrespectful to me and threatening my authority. She needs to be severely punished”.

She ran over to Cain clinging to his arm smirking at me.

“It’s not like you didn’t deserve it, you did start it. Just leave her alone Sarah why do you…”

Cain growled at Willow cutting her off, he looked over furiously at me. I knew I had done it now.

“So moon, you think you can undermine your Lunas authority, don’t you know your place by now when we get to the pack house you are going to be punished by me.”

As Cain was still babbling on with his threats our teacher walked in going straight to his desk.

“Good morning class, you may be seated”.

Everyone began taking their seats except Cain he stood in-front of my desk staring daggers at me pissed off.

“Cain, is there something you need to say to the class?

He slowly walked to his seat not taking his eyes off of me. Here I was off to such a great start staying invisible to these people, but me and my big mouth just had to go and ruin it I thought.

“That's what I thought, now if you wouldn’t mind to take a seat so we can get started with today’s lesson”.

After being stared down through out the whole class the bell finally rang.

Me and Willow stood up, ready to bolt out of class. It was now lunch time so we made our way to the cafeteria.

We didn't really have money for much food. Luna Athena stopped paying us for our jobs at the pack house as we got older.

She said we didn’t need to be payed anymore because we got to live there for free already and eat there scraps so why should she pay us.

We started baby sitting pups and other various jobs on our days off just to make some cash.

We didn’t get paid much but it atleast would get us food for the school year, and whatever else we needed, although I started eating less just to save more money.

I knew when I turned 18 I would need the extra money to live on.

I was going to find somewhere cheap to live until I could find a real job in the human town.

“Hey you guys! Over here”

Me and Willow picked up our trays making our way over to Jax.

Jax had found us a table in the back away from everyone else. We tried to stay invisible mainly not to attract unwanted attention, not that I had done a great job at that today.

“hey Jax, did you ever find that book you were searching for?”

Jax lightly hit willows arm and shushed her. I was confused because Jax didn’t really like to read.

“Jax, you’re reading? I’m sorry but that's laughable! I’ve never known you to read unless you had to”.

He looked slightly embarrassed trying to turn his face away from me.

“ha ha ha laugh it up then! It's nothing star, I promise.”

I felt bad all of a sudden not wanting to upset him I put my arm around his shoulder laying my head gently on him.

“ I was just messing around. Truly, I’m sorry Jax. Now come on tell me what book it is, maybe I could help?”

He turned his head back towards me he seemed conflicted.

“Okay fine, It's actually a book for you, well, about you hopefully. I know how much you hate not having your wolf and its hurts me seeing you so sad. I was trying to find a book about being wolf-less or figuring out why you don't have one.”

He smiled sheepishly at me. I could tell he was nervous so I gave him a big hug. Thanking him quickly.
